AP Suggests Mount Rushmore as Offensive as Confederate Memorials

Yes, they hate all of America. Not just the Confederate memorials. And they're coming to destroy all of it.

The right way to cover a story about the President of the United States doing a July 4th event at Mount Rushmore is not with a social justice rant about the evils of Mount Rushmore. But these days the media mostly consists of angry college paper social justice scribblers so even the AP produces a hateful piece filled with quotes denouncing Mount Rushmore.

President Donald Trump’s plans to kick off Independence Day with a showy display at Mount Rushmore have angered Native Americans, who view the monument as a desecration of land violently stolen from them and used to pay homage to leaders hostile to Indigenous people.

But it comes amid a national reckoning over racism and a reconsideration of the symbolism of monuments around the globe. Many Native American activists say the Rushmore memorial is as reprehensible as the many Confederate monuments being toppled around the nation.

Curiously enough, the AP editorial masquerading as an unsigned news story, only quotes two Indian critics of it, neither of them are tribal leaders from the sound of things. But, like the campaign against the Redskins, the media's lefties are happy enough to pick and choose those Indians who share their political agenda, even though they don't actually represent anyone.
