The New York Democrat Pol Who Can't Stop Saying Antisemitic Things
The media loves finding some Neo-Nazi who wins a Republican primary while no one was paying attention in a district that Republicans don't pay attention to because they couldn't win if the incumbent Democrat were caught setting dogs on fire and laughing gleefully.
Meanwhile, Democrat officials like Assemblywoman Diana Richardson keeps doing this stuff again and again while representing one of New York City's largest Jewish communities.
Here she is in 2018.
A Brooklyn legislator was accused Wednesday of delivering a bizarre tirade against Jews, while ripping Mayor Bill de Blasio as a sellout, during a local community board meeting this week.
Assemblywoman Diane Richardson’s 50-minute rant during the Board 17 meeting Monday night faulted Jews for gentrifying in her district, which includes East Flatbush, Flatbush, Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens, according to an eyewitness.
“It must be Jewish people,” Richardson responded, according to Lew Fidler, a former City Council member who is Jewish and attended the meeting as a representative of Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
“As a Jew, I found that to be offensive,” Fidler told The Post.
Richardson claimed that she was tired, and misquoted, and Democrats came to her defense. As I noted at the time, Richardson was the Working Families Party candidate.
Now here we go again.
Diana Richardson, a Democrat who represents the 43rd district in Brooklyn, which includes the heavily Jewish neighborhood of Crown Heights, called on her Instagram followers to boycott media companies under ViacomCBS, which fired Cannon earlier this month for propagating anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and praised Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who has an extensive history of making anti-Jewish remarks.
Richardson called the backlash against Cannon a “witch hunt.”
Later, Richardson told the Chabad Lubavitch Community News Service that she does not “condone anti-Semitism” and that Cannon’s remarks were “uncalled for” and “distasteful.”
Uh-huh. Meanwhile this will continue.
