Remember when Bernie cult members were pushing propaganda about Bernie flying coach? Those were the days. They ended once the cranky confused socialist hit the big time.
But in April, Bernie Sanders took 50 staffers and reporters on a chartered Delta 767 for a trip to the Vatican... Not only wasn’t Bernie flying coach, but he was chartering mostly empty passenger planes on left-wing political jaunts. The menu on board Air Sanders included lobster sliders, crab salad, red lentil soup, herb crusted lamb loin, chocolate ganache, fine cheeses and white wine. It was a long way from coach.
The March disbursement showed $1.6 million going to Air Charter Team
That was during the primaries, but Bernie is still flying the friendly skies as VtDigger, the site Bernie hates more than any other, reveals.
Sen. Bernie Sanders 2018 re-election campaign spent almost $300,000 on private jet service for a recent cross country tour to stump for Democrats and test the presidential waters.
According to federal campaign finance reports, Friends of Bernie Sanders, the senator’s official 2018 Senate campaign committee, spent $297,685.50 with Apollo Jets, a private charter jet service headquartered in New York.
Come on, you can't expect Bernie to fly first class like ordinary senators even while he's screeching about the global warming monster who's coming to eat all of us.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, at a town hall featuring progressive leaders and climate change activists in Washington this week, stressed that lawmakers must act urgently to combat climate change and to move the economy off fossil fuels.
Sanders also underscored the need for urgency in taking action and in limiting U.S. dependence on fossil fuels.
“We are living in a moment in history that has never existed before,” Sanders said. “The best minds in the world are telling us literally that we have 12 years, which is no time at all, to get our acts together.”
That's why I spent six figures on private jets to fly around the country to political campaigns. How do you not understand this?
Also, would a man who believes in global warming really have gotten that third home?
