Black Voters More Likely to Support Biden After Segregationist Comments

My working theory is that the Dem base decided that Biden is their guy with the best shot of beating Trump. And any scandals they hear go in one ear and out the other. If Biden announced that we really need to bring back slavery or stop women from voting, the numbers would look like these.

We're in the post-everything phase of politics. Nothing really matters except tribal impulses.

That's how you get numbers like these.

After hearing about Biden’s comments on working with multiple segregationists, 41 percent of likely primary voters said it would make no difference to them and 29 percent said they would be more likely to vote for him. Just 18 percent said they would be less likely to vote for him. The numbers were about the same for black voters: 30 percent said they would be more likely to vote for Biden, 20 percent said less likely and 27 percent said it made no difference.

Black voters were more likely than white voters to say that the segregationist comments would get them to vote for Biden.

Not a whole lot more to say about that except that somewhere Cory Booker is weeping into a scented handkerchief woven out of organic bamboo fibers.
