The Daily Caller reports that 28-year-old Swedish pop star Zara Larsson, an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist with nearly 10 million Instagram followers, posted an Instagram story on Saturday in which she declared her “love” for criminals and a litany of other Left-wing pet causes such as immigrants and “queers.” And of course, she wrapped up the list neatly with a middle finger to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, even though she doesn’t even live in the same hemisphere as ICE officers.
If you haven’t heard of Zara Larsson, you’re not alone. I never had either, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything, as I’m gratefully out of touch with the current crop of musical celebrities. She’s not even American – she still lives in her birthplace of Stockholm – so why does her vapid opinion merit an article, apart from the fact that her fame gives her an outsized media megaphone for spreading her political influence among young, impressionable fans? Because Larsson’s litany of loves unwittingly provides a succinct case study of the Left-wing mind. In other words, she is emblematic of today’s young American Democrats.
To set the stage: the singer of the forgettable dance club hits “Lush Life” and “Can’t Tame Her” has a long history of political activism on issues ranging from sexual health awareness to, um, incontinence. She credits her “woke” parents for her political awareness, although what she and her fellow wokesters consider awareness is actually blind ignorance. Predictably, for example, she has criticized Israel as an “apartheid” state and defended the Hamas savagery of October 7, 2023. She has also announced her unsurprising opposition to the “patriarchy” and “toxic masculinity” (“I hate guys. Hate hate hate.”).
In her Instagram story Saturday, Larsson shared a few of her favorite things: “I love immigrants / I love criminals / I love trans people / I love abortions / I love queers / I love slutty women / I love contraception.” For good measure, she threw in “welfare” and “socialism,” but made sure to conclude the list with, “I fucking hate ICE.”

Let’s break this down:
Of course she loves immigrants, because the Left welcomes mass immigration both in America and elsewhere in the West in order to create massive demographic change and enlarge their voter base. The Democrat Party here, and Left-wing parties throughout Western Europe and Australia, openly prioritize the economic well-being of immigrants, even illegal ones (especially illegals), over their own citizens. Never mind that mass immigration from non-Western rape cultures has resulted in Larsson’s own Sweden frequently topping or ranking very high in reported rape statistics – not only in Europe but globally.
Of course she loves abortions and contraception, because the Left loves consequence-free sexual indulgence, which is why Larsson also strangely included “slutty women” in her list (also, sex sells records). The Left resents, more than almost anything else about Christianity, the sexual morality that it imposes on society, because Leftists believe unrestricted, expressive individualism is the highest good.
Of course she loves welfare and socialism, because the Left loves the squishy idea of “equality” enforced through State theft. Never mind that the 28-year-old’s net worth is anywhere from $4.25 million to $18 million, depending on which internet source you believe; it is always hypocritical elites like Larsson who push economic redistribution on the less privileged, but are insulated from the consequences of these policies. Communism for thee, not for me, is the Left-wing way.
Of course she loves trans and queer people, because the neo-Marxist Left is nothing if not anti-family. The Left has made transgenderism and “non-binary” gender identities the tip of the spear of the cultural Marxist assault on the West because their rationale is that “male” and “female” are not biological truths but social constructs, which can be deconstructed and reconstructed at will. Thus “masculine” and “feminine” have no real meaning, and there is no “father” or “mother,” no “son” or “daughter,” and “family” is replaced by the collective, just as the Satanic Karl Marx envisioned.

She wrote that her stance stems from her complaint that her boyfriend cannot visit the U.S. because of a criminal conviction for marijuana. “We spend months and months apart every year because of a little spliff over 6 years ago,” she whined. “I’m just saying there’s thousands and thousands of people who go to jail and prison over none [sic] violent crimes like drugs, mostly black and brown people because of Ronald Reagan being racist in the 80s.”
Larsson wasn’t even alive when Reagan was President. All she knows about him comes from the demonizing narrative she absorbed from the Left-wing cultural milieu in which she and millions of other young Westerners have been raised, which she then simply regurgitates uncritically, and which her fans imbibe uncritically.
In the Leftist mind (and I use the term loosely), the United States is a systemically white supremacist police state in which black and brown “folx” are unjustly subjected to “mass incarceration,” guilty of nothing more than occasional pot smoking. When Larsson says she loves criminals, that’s who she means. In her mind, systemically oppressed black and brown people never commit hate crimes or violent crimes like rape, kidnapping, torture and murder, and random stabbings on subways.
In the Leftist mind, the real criminals are the brownshirts of the “fascist” Trump regime: law enforcement officers of all stripes, but especially ICE agents, who are smeared as the new Gestapo: “They’re criminals too,” Larsson wrote. “Killing, kidnapping, violent, hateful ones.” She theorized that ICE agents are simply a “disgusting cocktail” of toxic masculinity, frail egos, and low IQs. She articulates it this way: “They are soooooooo frightened and really, really dumb PLUS stupid.” Gee, with that kind of intellectual insight she could qualify as one of the hostesses on The View.
From crime to economics to race to gender ideology to sexual libertinism, every single aspect of Zara Larsson’s worldview – the worldview of the Left, of today’s Democrat Party – is completely detached from reality. And yet she is, tragically for the rest of us, representative of countless millions of young people in America and throughout a collapsing Europe: brainwashed by a subversive, activist educational system and a Left-wing entertainment complex that has utterly corrupted the culture with godless, anti-American and anti-Western falsehoods.
It is a worldview that was not arrived at through a rational evaluation of facts, history, and human nature, but through an ideological indoctrination, and thus its adherents cannot be reasoned out of it (notwithstanding the late Charlie Kirk’s success reaching some of the more open-minded among them through debate). They can only be – and must be – confronted and defeated.

Better yet, she should spend a few days in a state or federal prison and show her appreciation by making herself available for some one on one time with the inmates. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it.

Could we not send Zara to spend some time and entertain the Ayatollahs? Perhaps all that pent up frustration would be relieved by her friendly companionship and there would be a peaceful transition in Iran……following her guarantee that she would visit them monthly for more. Then we can send her to Mexico to spend some time with criminals she’s sure to love. All that gore to see, the hangings and decapitations while enjoying a hit or two of the good stuff. This Swedish airhead story reminds me of a joke by a comedian long ago about a tv commercial with actress Catherine Denueve who said, Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful. The comedian’s joke: We don’t hate you because you’re beautiful. We hate you because you’re a stuck up conceited fucking bitch. The only thing that would make this dimwit Swedish narcissist interesting would be for her to drive over a land mine live on camera. She’d look even more “beautiful” as road kill.
Well, then, I strongly urge her to move to Malmo where she can experience all that first hand. She can tell us how it went, if she survives.
