President Donald Trump told Just the News on Sunday morning that he will designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization, striking a blow against a group long blamed for destabilizing the Middle East and radicalizing young Muslims.
“It will be done in the strongest and most powerful terms,” Trump said. “Final documents are being drawn.”
The Muslim Brotherhood was behind most of the Islamist groups in America. In Cold War terms think of the Brotherhood as the Communist Party. Designating the MB can potentially be used to nuke the entire infrastructure of the ‘green’ part of the Red-Green line especially when you consider the legal impact of the FTO designation.
This is what some in the FBI and DOJ appeared to be working toward with the post 9/11 raids before the Bush administration at the behest of the usual ‘Gulfie’ players and the domestic MB groups shut it all down.
American history would have been incredibly different if instead of chasing Jihadis around Afghanistan, we had reacted to 9/11 by shutting down, deporting and denaturalizing the Brotherhood in America.
Despite the usual complaints, the justification for the designation is straightforward. The MB is the nexus for Jihadi groups including Al Qaeda and Hamas. Hamas is literally the Brotherhood in Gaza which is why it’s been supported by CAIR and other Islamist groups. And Al Qaeda was really spawned by an Egyptian MB spinoff group. MB groups formed some of the most vicious militias in Syria (even as domestic MB groups lobbied for them).
Of course the designation is just the first step. The next step is the focus and willpower to implement it. As we’ve seen with the Antifa designation, without those, a designation doesn’t do much, but it still sets an important precedent, especially when it comes to the infiltration of American political life by groups like CAIR.
And certainly any cooperation between Islamists and law enforcement.
In the USA the MB is CAIR and SJP, among other groups.
It should have been designated a terror group and treated as such from the time it was established 100 years ago.
Since then hit has fomented arab uprising and terror campaigns, assassinated Middle Eastern leaders, organized and financed terror operations all over the world, collaborated closely with the Nazis and the Final Solution, the list goes on and on.
It will only matter if we go after all the MB front groups operating in the US. I believe it when I see it. This is the same president who has cozied up to Qatar and hosted a jihadist in the Oval Office (not to mention gushing over Saudi Arabia).

And the borders of 1948? Have you looked at it? Do you understand that Trump has signed on to Israel losing the territory it LEGITIMATELY WON as a result of multiple wars, all of which were started by these Arab nations? This is totally Trump capitulating to the Arab nations. In Arab-Islam ideology victory to them is established by the land acquired through the triumph of war, as did the Ottoman Empire in their quest for a global Islamic caliphate. That has never changed. So, Trump in supporting this, has once again displayed his ignorance of Islamic practices and he wants to afford the Arab states a de facto victory over Israel by mandating that they surrender all the additional territory they legitimately won?
Stop making Trump out like he’s the good guy here, Israel was attacked in each of these wars and Trump, in his business-peace deals with Arabs, is throwing Israel under the bus. He’s no friend no matter what spin he’s trying to put on it now! Trump is the one being led by the nose and he’s the only one who just doesn’t get it. The chess master? I don’t think so!!!
Trump doesn’t “cozy up” to anyone, including the MB.
Yes, I wonder if the Saudis are secretly on board with this. Egypt should be as well, given all the trouble that the MB has caused there. Then again, much thinking in the area is not, shall we say, easy to follow.

Gee, doesn’t the government’s designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign (and domestic and global) terror organization conflict with the government’s making trillion terror dollar deals and exclusive defense pacts with Qatar, the Muslim Brotherhood Terror Mothership?
For whose consumption is this designation, when in practice, it appears to be more calculated empty words sucked up into the vacuum of lies.

I think Trump is trying to establish a solid friendship with Qatar so that when he goes after CAIR (MB), Qatar will, if not assist, at least not thwart his actions. But he is risking a ‘taqiyya-con’ from Qatar.
