Order Jamie Glazov’s new book, United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny, Terror, and Hamas: HERE.
As many have noted in recent years, Christianity in the West is in decline, and a principal reason is that the “muscular Christianity” of a bygone era has been watered down by an infiltration of Progressives determined to weaken Christian morality by making it more “tolerant” and “inclusive” of Left-wing causes such as gender ideology and the feminist siege of the “patriarchy.”
A couple of recent examples demonstrate that Democrat preachers are out, loud, and proud of this subversive strategy.
First, in a 66-second video from the You Can Be Both podcast, Media and Messaging Pastor Joe Smith of Meizon Church in Gainesville, Florida, claimed that the Christian apostle Paul erred on issues like slavery and sexuality, tying it to his critique of traditional gender roles.
“’I’m going to say this in the nicest way possible,” he tells the host. “I don’t care what [the Bible] says. I just don’t care.” He went on to dismiss what he considers to be Paul’s ignorant and outdated take on morality. “At the end of the day,” he concluded, “I don’t care. He was wrong.”
‘I’m going to say this in the nicest way possible. I don’t care what the bible says. I just don’t care…at the end of the day Paul was wrong.”

Meizon, “a progressive, open & affirming church in Florida,” as Smith puts it on his Substack page, emphasizes inclusion for all regardless of sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Christianity, of course, already is inclusive of everyone who embraces Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior – but rather than “affirming” you in your sin, Jesus expects you to change, and that’s where Progressive Christians like Smith draw the line.
Needless to say, Evangelicals online denounced Smith as a heretic for his views on Paul and for undermining the divinely inspired authority of Scripture. But he is typical of Democrat pastors like Texas Senator-wannabe James Talarico, who are increasingly nudging the faith toward the kind of non-judgmental, Progressive messaging the Left wants the Bible to reflect in order to support their political aims.
In the second example, The Christian Post reported that a controversial video clip featuring Bishop Yvette Flunder, lesbian leader of the City of Refuge United Church of Christ in Oakland, California, was trending on social media last week. The 70-year-old Flunder, who is also the presiding prelate of The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries, drew flak for asserting that parts of the Bible are “problematic” and need to be rewritten.
“This is a very dangerous thing that I’m about to say now, … a bit dangerous. I’m of the opinion that we need a third testament because the Bible has become problematic,” Flunder told her approving audience in a clip from the 2026 Samuel Dewitt Procter Conference in February, where Flunder spoke on the topic, “The SACRED FIRE: Igniting, Resilience, and Resistance.”
“‘Slaves obey your masters as you do the Lord.’ It’s a text,” she said, quoting Paul’s words from Ephesians 6:5. “‘Let the women keep silent in the churches and if they have any questions let them ask their husbands at home,” she added, quoting from 1 Corinthians 14:34-35.
“Now, I’m a believer. My whole heart, I trust God with my whole heart. I wake up in the morning talking to God and God talking to me,” she continued:
But I am completely frustrated with the ways in which the text speaks to the kind of vitriolic God that makes those kinds of things. And people will say, “Well, it’s in the book.” And I said, “Then we need to pull that page out.”
And they said, “Well, you can’t do it. It’s the word of God.” I said, “No, it’s words about God. Come on now.”
It’s unclear what the distinction is that she’s drawing, but she concludes by stating definitively of Paul’s New Testament letters, “It is not the word of God.”

So Flunder, the leader of a church, is baldly announcing that wherever the word of God is inconvenient for her Progressive politics, it must be excised from the biblical “text,” as she puts it. God needs an editor, in other words, because Flunder knows better.
“You don’t need a Third Testament. You need first-rate repentance,” wrote Christian conservative podcaster April Chapman, referring to Flunder. In her own video included with the post, Chapman added,
You don’t get to stand in a pulpit, insult the word of the living God and say, “You know, I’m about to say something that’s a little dangerous,” and then pretend that you are speaking for Christ. You just knew what you were about to say was heresy. You are not being bold, you are just rebellious.
“Bishop Yvette Flunder did not merely question a passage. She told the church, in plain words, that parts of God’s Word should be torn out,’” Southern Baptist minister Rich Bitterman wrote in a blog post:
She said they contain bad theology. Then she said, with a kind of smiling violence that should make every Christian shudder, that “We need to pull those pages out.” You can almost hear it. Thin paper tearing. A hand reaching for the Book that has outlived empires, buried tyrants, steadied martyrs at the stake, and carried dying saints across the final river.
Today’s Progressives posing as Christian clergy are quite frankly not true believers at all, but agents of Satan hell-bent – literally – on dismantling the most threatening obstacle to Left-wing totalitarian power: the word of God and the Christian faith. This is why they are compelled to simply jettison the parts of Scripture that don’t comport with their social justice activism. And the fact that they are willing to declare this openly is evidence that their assault on traditional Christianity is gathering momentum and they smell blood in the water.

“He (Smith) went on to dismiss what he considers to be Paul’s ignorant and outdated take on morality. “At the end of the day,” he concluded, “I don’t care. He was wrong.”
Yes, Smith has a big problem. The words Paul wrote are God’s word’s.
Romans 1:7 “To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace FROM God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
The people Flounder heard say: “It’s the word of God,” are correct. So, she too has a big problem.
“Christianity, of course, already is inclusive of everyone who embraces Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (YES) – but rather than “affirming” you in your sin, (No, He doesn’t do that),
Jesus expects you to change…” On this, sir, and any saved Bible believer, I’d say this: the Lord wants the believer to understand why and how he or she is in fact “changed.” Romans ch. 6, among other places, explains it clearly:
Romans 6:2-3 “…How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”
Romans 6:11 “…reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
It’s about the believer’s identification in Him.
These are false prophets who serve a different god, not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
And yet Christianity stands where it always has. Famously Jesus said “Cramped (is) the road leading off into life, and few are finding it.” – Matthew 7:14
The road that leads to life, and to “the glorious freedom of the children of God”, is cramped, it is narrow. It does not allow for a variety of different moral standards. It has one law, one standard for all – God’s perfect standard, as set out in the Inspired Scriptures.
And God’s word will stand when every vestige of the current wicked system of things on the earth has gone.
“Listen! Someone is saying: “Call out!”
Another asks: “What should I call out?”
“All flesh is green grass.
All their loyal love is like the blossom of the field.
The green grass dries up,
The blossom withers,
Because the breath of Jehovah blows upon it.
Surely the people are but green grass.
The green grass dries up,
The blossom withers,
But the word of our God endures forever.”
Isaiah 40:6-8
The word of our God endures forever.
As a Christian you must always repent of your sins and pray that God remove whatever worldly desires keep you separated from Him. The goal is to conform to God’s word and will, not the other way around. These people are narcissistic to the extreme.
“As a Christian you must always repent of your sins…”
It’s not about the Christian doing anything. It’s about the believer knowing. Knowing their sins are paid for and forgiven, past, present and future. Eph. 1:9, Col. 1:14.
Again, it’s about identification. The “old man” is dead.
Col. 2: 12-14 are good verses to go over:
Colossians 2:12-14 “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”
“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;”
“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”
The baptism there in Col. 2:12 and in Romans 6:1 is not water baptism, it’s spiritual:
Galatians 3:27 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
It’s identification. The sins of the believer are no longer an issue, as far as God is concerned. How so? Because they had been already paid for and forgiven.
So why does Christ, in HIs letters to the 7 Churches, demand repentance for the sinning going on in these Churches? He also threatens them, some even with death, if they don’t repent.
Annanias and Sapphira got killed on the spot for lying about what the sale of their property cost, and Paul said that many in the Church were sick or DEAD because they took Communion unworthily.
Yes, all your sins are paid for, but you do have to address the sins you commit after becoming saved by CONFESSING them and REPENTING. Fruit and works won’t SAVE you, but they are the outward signs of an INWARD change caused by salvation.
The cheap formula of simply repeating a phrase like magic words……and POOF! You’re saved is inaccurate. You’re SAVED only if the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within you. ANd some people make a profession that is BOGUS.
In the Parable of the Sower, on the last example is of a saved person: where the seed takes root and produces fruit. If the seed is stolen away, or doesn’t produce anything because of worldly interests or fear or persecution, you have a FAKE conversion. Same with the “wicked servant” who would not forgive, and the “wicked servant” who hid the investment that was trusted to him. THey are DAMNED, not just consigned to the trailer park section of the Kingdom of Heaven.
REAL salvation results in a changed person.
What is most dangerous of all about leftism is that its woke mind virus has infected ALL parts of the US (we’re talking even UTAH!), all our major institutions, and even country music. There is no corner of America that is safe from it. And now we see examples of how that leftism has even infected the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST. These people are not Christians, by any biblical definition. They have every right to their PC heresies, but NO right to spew them using the vestiments, the funds, the respectablity, the Holy Book, and the authority, of the church. Let them go start their own (bizarre) religion. Leave God, the Word of God, and the Christian faith out of it!
Ephesians 6:5. “‘Let the women keep silent in the churches and if they have any questions let them ask their husbands at home,”
Well, we see the mess the 19th amendment has created in our government and society at large. Maybe “the church” isn’t the only place women should remain silent.
Apologies. “‘Let the women keep silent in the churches and if they have any questions let them ask their husbands at home,” is from 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, not Ephesians 6:5. I was to quick to POST and didn’t verify like I should have.
There’s that d@*n word again … “problematic”. They use it almost as much as “context”. They are “open & affirming” and always “inclusive”. So why isn’t it problematic for a “Christian” to say “I don’t care what the bible says”? The only “Christ” they believe in is Jesus the wise teacher, which view differs not a bit from that of a Jew, Muslim, or Hindu. There is nothing notably Christian about their point of view. They are inclusive of everything but the Gospel. For them Christ the Redeemer is dead and never risen from the dead.
“A God without wrath brought men without sin into a kingdom without judgement through the ministrations of a Christ without a cross.”
_____H. Richard Niebuhr The Kingdom of God in America (1937)
The good news is that this brand of progressive religion is dying an ignoble death on all fronts. The liberal churches are empty and can’t pay their heating bills. The real muscular Christianity is alive and well elsewhere, most notably in Africa which is seeing a massive rise in old style persecution, not from Rome but Islam. These Christians want nothing to do with the pussified faith which believes in nothing worth defending, much less dying for.
I have notice an uptake on these liberal progressive churches where instead of a sermon in a traditional Christian Church, one gets a feel good therapy session where the individual is emphasize and the feelings of such individual regardless what Scriptures has to say.
There advertisements on social media of churches that the interiors look like office spaces and the buildings look like offices of some corporation.
I never been to one but friends that have say that the Bible if mentioned, is almost non-existent. They tell me it is more a group hug session where everyone is special and that sin is a manufactured anachronistic standard by a bygone age and that the Christian churches need to “progressive” if they want to increase attendance but survive.
Well, if she wants to tear Paul out of the Bible then she needs also to tear out Moses, and then of course the rest of the Bible as well. The scriptures are a unity and nothing can be deleted or edited. But then of course she couldn’t call herself a Christian. She would have to admit she’s just another pagan idolator.
THE STORY OF EVERYTHING
Below is an excerpt from an article in Science and Culture by Walter Myers III- April 20, 2026 about this documentary.
Movie out for theatrical release in April 30, 2026
The Story of Everything: Why This Documentary Matters
WALTER MYERS III APRIL 10, 2026 Biology, Cosmology, Intelligent Design
Since the late 19th century, a philosophical assumption has embedded itself so deeply into scientific culture that it has become nearly invisible. That assumption is materialism — the view that the physical universe is all there is, that matter and energy interacting through blind, undirected processes are sufficient to explain everything we see, from the first moment of the cosmos to the complexity of living cells. It is a sweeping claim. And increasingly, it is a claim the evidence does not support.
The upcoming theatrical documentary The Story of Everything, based on Stephen Meyer’s Return of the God Hypothesis, arrives on April 30, at a remarkable moment in the history of science. It is a moment when the evidence has accumulated to the point where the materialist story is no longer the path of least resistance. It is, instead, the path of greatest philosophical resistance dressed up as scientific consensus. What this documentary does, carefully and with some of the most credentialed voices in physics, cosmology, chemistry, and biology, is separate two things that have been conflated for over a century: the method of science and the philosophy of materialism.

More for our arsenal of truth in response to the endless lies
Perhaps it’s time for some introspection and realizing it’s not the Bible that has become problematic, but the people are the problem. Isn’t that why God had to put Jesus on the cross in the first place?
The Presbyterian (!) Church made the “difficult decision not to decide” if homosexuality is a sin. In other words, the Westminster Standards no longer represent the doctrine and polity of this denomination in the USA. The inerrant word of God revealed in the Holy Bible somehow is insufficient to guide these modern clerics. It’s sort of like the premise of that fatuous book, “Separation of Church and Hate,” which seems to be that since so many followers of so many religions commit the sins the churches condemn, those must not be sins after all.
Our nation was founded by hard men and brought into being by hard men and women who knew right from wrong, worked because is was both necessary and virtuous, and worshipped God. Today it is largely populated and governed by weaklings who shirk, don’t even bother to doubt, and worship mammon. It is time for a new awakening.
In Canada, Bill C-9, also referred to as the “Combatting Hate Act,” will amend Canada’s Criminal Code by removing the “good faith” defense for expressions based on religious texts. If a pastor or priest in a sermon, quotes from the Holy Bible passages that do not fit “progressive” views regarding moral issues, then one may assume, charges can be laid.
Recently, Pope Leo XIV said the following: “It seems to me very unlikely, at least in the near future, that the doctrine of the Church will change its teachings on sexuality and marriage”. What is alarming about this statement is that it is modernist heresy, whether the pope knows it or not. The Catholic Church has always taught that core doctrine is immutable forever.
Did the pope mean to admit that Roman Catholic doctrine is not based on God’s word, immutably conveyed by the Holy Bible? Sure sounds like it. Admitting that change is possible in any time frame is heresy.
The 1st problem this creature has is that SHE is openly violating one command that Jesus gives regarding HIS Church: don’t let a woman teach in the assembly. She denies the reality that it is Jesus’ Church, not hers. Since it is HIS, guess who gets to make the rules?
She wants to play the head honcho, OK. Go start her own club. Putting on that showy nightgown does NOT make her a minister o God’s Word.
But then, were it not that a gaggle o even more deluded warm bodies come to “hear” her blathevings, she’d be in a park somewhere with a megaphone and tin cup. And her duds would not be so cute.
The Bible is Christianity’s rule book and this Charlatan doesn’t care what it says. Seeing as it’s Florida May I assume Micky Mouse ordained him?
Christians (unlike Muslims) consider our Scriptures to be inspired by God, not dictated. As such, those who wrote them were also influenced by their times’ lenses of culture. Paul was NOT wrong; he was right when he said those things. Christians also believe in the continuing fulfillment of Christ’s teachings of love above all and including everyone in His salvation. Someone like Flunder goes too far as she proclaims herself the equal of or superior to Paul in teaching, just like for some believing in your own conception of your gender supersedes what you were born as. But women can now speak in church, they needn’t only ask their husbands at home, there are gays born into the world who are as welcome as anyone, etc, The Church can include all, which fulfills Christ’s example and enlarges Paul’s strictures in His name. Not because leftist polemicists strut and call in their own names.
“I don’t care what [the Bible] says. I just don’t care” and “Bishop Yvette Flunder, lesbian leader of the City of Refuge United Church of Christ” tells me everything I need to know about what to expect from them.
They create a god that requires no repentance. A god that designed them to indulge in sin without regret or conscience. They mock the real God and stand defiant against Him. These are not churches. They are organizations of Satan openly and proudly defending their sins.
Ms Flunder, there’s no need for a new testament. What IS needed is truly REDEEMED people willing to learn from, and understand, the WORD as presented, in full context! Sadly, your presentation here strongly suggests you are not such a person, and further have no intention to become such! For starters, you are not qualified, Biblically, to be a “bishop” in the Biblical Christian context. NO female is so qualified! That doesn’t mean Yhvh God can’t or won’t call and use you; it does mean you have stepped outside His will, and assumed authority not in line with His expressed will for you, or any other woman. Repent your rebellion, and ask Yeshua to redeem you truly, read the Word guided by His spirit, and understand what His message to us says, instead of what you think it should say. You can learn to understand it in context.
In China they only allow a censored communist party version of the Bible in which entire chapters are deleted or modified to support socialist propaganda and atheism.
So sad to see the charlatans coming out of the woodwork in the name of progressiveism. With this kind of faith what’s next? Fire and brimstone? All the people of this world be prepared!
