Canadian journalist Élisa Serret has just spewed the purest form of antisemitism on air, claiming that “the Jews” control America through their money. After on-air statements in which a French-language Radio-Canada reporter made statements about Jews controlling different aspects of society and countries, the national broadcaster apologized on Tuesday and suspended the journalist.
Journalist Élisa Serret explained in a Monday French-language segment that the United States of America could not detach itself from its positions on the State of Israel because “the Israelis, in fact the Jews, finance a lot of American politics.”
“The big cities are run by Jews,” said Serret, speaking of broader infrastructure in which Jewish control was supposedly exerted. “Hollywood is run by the Jews.”
Radio-Canada suspended Serret, it announced the next day, relieving her of her journalistic duties until further notice. The broadcaster decried her analysis of American Middle East policy as “stereotypical, antisemitic, erroneous,” which included “prejudicial allegations against Jewish communities.”
“These unacceptable comments violate Radio-Canada’s journalistic standards and practices and in no way reflect the opinion of the public broadcaster,” Radio-Canada said on Tuesday.
We recognize that these comments have offended many viewers. We sincerely apologize to them and to the Jewish community.”…
Radio-Canada should not merely have suspended Élisa Serret, which suggests she might continue to be kept on in some capacity at Radio-Canada, but fired her outright. And then Radio-Canada should also investigate, and suspend, those in the control room who failed to cut off her broadcast as soon as she started to mouth her malignancy. Finally, Radio-Canada should look for tell-tale signs of virulent antisemitism in the social media posts of those it has hired, or is considering hiring.
Looks like Canada has its own version of Nazi Propaganda Radio or NPR and I bet they even have aversion of CNN
CBC is far worse than NPR…we spend almost 2 billion a year on its left wing propaganda. Its even more woke than NPR and CNN. Totally biased, lies when it gets caught and flushes taxpayer money down the can at every opportunity.

She exposed herself to the light of YHVH GOD ALMIGHTY – She is not Christian either – And on that note, any Christian who is antisemitic is not Christian! They are saying they hate Lord Jesus Christ because HE is Jewish. Antisemitic Christians can’t have it both ways.

Such comments are par for the course in Quebec. It has been the case for decades – the late, great Canadian author Mordechai Richler wrote about French-Canadian antisemitism back in the 1980s, and it dates back to the founding of Lower Canada (now Quebec). I’m surprised that CBC has disciplined her at all.
This is the same corporation that got caught deliberately editing together remarks from Pierre’s press conference, to make it appear he said the opposite of what he actually said. They stalled, denied they had done it, then lied and said it was an accidental edit. This is what they always do if they get caught.
French Canadians accused Richler of not letting sleeping dogs lie by reminding Canadians of the St. Jean Baptist Societe’s pogrom on St. Urbain Street in Montreal’s Jewish ghetto during World War II in which the rioters screamed, “We will not fight for the King nor for the Jews.”
It was particularly vicious and strident among Quebec clergy in the 1930s. Abbe Lionel Groux was one particularly unpleasant example.
CBC is an arm of the Liberals and has always been.
It is Canada’s “Pravda”.
