Forget rebuilding Gaza.
Republicans are facing a potential midterm wipeout and the administration unfortunately was dragged into a senseless project to rebuild Gaza by Steven Witkoff, Qatar, Turkey and assorted assets and enemy nations.
So I hope this report from the New York Times is wrong because this is the last thing Americans need to see.
The United Arab Emirates has pledged over $1 billion to President Trump’s “Board of Peace” for Gaza’s postwar future, according to two officials briefed on the board’s fund-raising efforts.
The United States has also committed more than $1 billion to the board’s projects in Gaza, the two officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the details of the pledges.
I hope this report is wrong, but the idea that we could do this without spending any of our own money was always a fantasy. Convening organizations, staffing them and holding meetings is already expensive.
Americans need to see President Trump rebuilding America. The last thing we need to do is to spend more blood and treasure to ‘rebuild’ yet another Islamic terrorist state.
One that hates us.

Your question is a good one, but your framing is wrong – the wealth of the Arabs has nothing to do with it. There are logical reasons why the U.S. continues to overburden its citizens with the support and welfare of other nations but fails to look after its own people. Actions speak louder than words.
I wouldn’t mind my tax dollars being used for drones, missiles and a blockade of Gaza.
That money should be used to rebuild the L.A. Area after those Fires New Homes for the Citizens and not to Gaza

What is going on in Trump’s mind listening to Witkoff and his son in law over anything involving the Middle East? I said that deal over Gaza stunk from the beginning, and the stench worsens daily. That will be money flushed down the drain. If that kind of thing worked then why did it fail in Lebanon back in the days when Lebanon was considered the economic and social equivalent of Switzerland. It didn’t work because they allowed mass Muslim migration into Lebanon, and these are the same kind of people that destroyed Lebanon living in Gaza, and the West Bank. Violent radicals to a man…..and it won’t work there either.
Culpable, that is the word. The “Palestinians” are fully culpable for October 7th. 80% voted for Hamas and the remaining 20% voted for PIJ. The “Palestinians cheered October 7th and supported Hamas all the more after October 7th.
The “Palestinians” deserve nothing. They can live in tents the rest of their lives and be fed baloney sandwiches and water. They are [generally] free to leave Gaza, except for Hamas which must be “disarmed”.

News flash: The war is ongoing. It’s not over. When there’s an official announcement of unconditional surrender TO ISRAEL from Hamas throughout all of what was ‘Gaza’, that’s how the war ends.
Not with a cabal obscenely called a board of peace whose clear hostility to Israel makes their intentions clear.
Trump is preventing ‘surrender’ from happening and will use US taxpayer money to do it. Won’t work.
Just do the right thing. Use that billion to fight jihad and Jew hatred at home, instead of rebuilding structures that will rehouse terrorists in Gaza, to attack and slaughter again, as THEY SAY THEY WILL DO.

It appears that most of America refuses to see that it is fighting its own existential war.
Trump would not be satisfied with a ceasefire for that war. He would most certainly demand total victory to remove all threats to the American people.
He should really, really try to put himself in Israel’s place to understand what is at stake for both Israel and America. If he could, well, that would be a miracle.

I think unfortunately Trump is caving to the Muslim terrorists in part so he can build a financial empire for his family over there. You get in with the in-bred monarchies in Qatar and other countries and it opens doors for business deals for Jared and his kids.

Rebuilding Gaza is beyond naive, it’s willful ignorance, or worse. The only solution is for the Gazans to be resettled elsewhere in the Arab world and Israel to annex Gaza as part of the State of Israel.
