Yes, we Jews value life. That said, Israel has put themselves in a perpetual no-win situation. In obtaining the return of soldier, Gilad Shalit, hundreds of hundreds of terrorists were released from Israeli prisons. Yes, we got him back and loosed upon Israel the many, many deaths of innocent Israelis by many of those formerly released terrorists.
So, it seems there is the politics of valuing life and then there is the moral relativism intervening where the lives of those captured are held in greater value than the lives of innocent citizens and IDF soldiers. When Gilad Shalit was returned, one of the released prisoners was Yahya Sunwar, the architect of October 7. On that horrific day, 1200+ innocent Israelis paid for Gilad’s freedom with their lives. And 251 found themselves the bargaining chips for Hamas.
Now, as I understand, 2000 terroristscare being released into Gaza, Judea-Samaria and Jerusalem. Now all of Islam watches as they move toward their desires for control of Jerusalem and the Al Aqua mosque-in their repeatedly stated goals according to their erroneous but nevertheless powerful Islamic narrative.
If Israel does not resolve itself to the national status of absolute non-negotiation with terrorists, the legacy for Israel, according to her actions will be that of death instead of life.
There’s a difference between valuing life and being stupid about facts, numbers, and bad deals. Trading 1000 terrorists for 1 life is stupidity that will create thousands more deaths and rapes, to save 1 person. I can’t figure it out for the life of me.
That prisoner exchange is to lopsided and to dangerous .Israel receiving the few serving Israelis who the Muslim terrorists had kidnapped and not yet murmured for thousands of menacing malicious Hamas Muslims terrorists is an action by the Israeli government of desperation and folly.
Desperation in that Israel does need to have those peaceful surviving Israeli’s captives freed. Very understandably so.
Folly it is to release so many, unrepentant Muslim terrorists to further engage in future murderous and destructive jihad attacks.
That prisoner exchange is absurdly, it’s too lopsided the large number of Arab terrorists released compared to the number of Israeli’s peaceful Israeli citizens who Hamas had kidnapped October 7, 2023, was invasion is out of proportion. There is no balance; it’s unequal, in favor of the Muslim terrorists.
Furthermore, ridiculous and wrong that so many dangerous unrepentant Muslim terrorists will be freed, to engage is further engage in actions of murderous and destructive Islamic terrorism.
