Sometimes an accusation is really an admission. And how else can you look at Sen. Schumer’s tweet here.
“Let’s call it like it is Sen Tom Cotton: The SAVE Act would disenfranchise over 21 MILLION Americans.”
Democrats fight any voter ID requirements or any calls to clean up the voter rolls in general by claiming that voter integrity would ‘disenfranchise’ Americans. Especially any kinds of minorities who are incapable of getting or possessing any kind of ID.
But the ’21 million’ here is a telling and damning number because many associate that with the number of illegal aliens in the country. The actual number is far larger, but the 21 million number has been routinely used, including by Trump.
The 21 million number came from the ACLU which claimed that “this legislation would require passports or birth certificates just to register to vote or update voter registration information — documents that an estimated 21 million eligible voters don’t have ready access to.”
Why don’t they have access to them if they’re eligible voters?
“More than 21 million Americans are unable to access the additional documents that would be required to register to vote under these bills. People of color, married people who have changed their names, as well as young and elderly people are more likely to have difficulty in accessing these documents. Under these bills, most voters wouldn’t be able to register to vote with their driver’s license alone, because licenses generally do not indicate citizenship. Instead, they would need another less common form of documentation, like a U.S. passport or birth certificate,” another leftist group claims.
It was liberal states that decided to issue licenses to illegal aliens. Then having done that, they complain that licenses aren’t eligible for voter registration.
Anyone can get a passport. Many of the same people who supposedly can’t get passports are foreign nationals who had passports in order to come here… unless they didn’t have those passports at all and illegally crossed the border.
The 21 million figure here is no coincidence. The people Dems claim will be ‘disenfranchised’, never had the franchise.
Every illegal alien that votes disenfranchises and American citizen.
Translation. Chuck and the democrat party will LOSE 21 million voters over bight. There isn’t any reason to not have Voter ID unless your rigging elections because your political, party can no longer win them because everyone refuses to vote for them.

… the sElection office can find the ‘registrations’ to fill the gap between the actual vote(D) and the vote they need to win.
It has to be this way on Federal and State wide sElections because of the numbers.
The alternative theory is that illegals, blacks, and Hispanics MUST vote at near 100% of registration –
– or MORE than 100% of registration
– over and over and over again
– BUT – BUT – only up to 51% – or whatever number will win the sElection without triggering a runoff or an “audit. ”

NO SERVICES: driving, welfare, cashing a check, purchasing liquor, cigarettes and cold medicine, car insurance, hospital, schools, library card, entering a Federal and some state buildings, the Democratic Party Convention … this list is longer. Entry/Services can only be granted with a Valid ID.

Schumer’s claim that the SAVE Act would ‘disenfranchise’ Americans is a tacit admission that the democrats could not and cannot will without the illegal alien vote.
Moreover, it is disingenuous at best for the ACLU to claim that:

They are insinuating that those people are illiterate and thus incapable of managing their own affairs. To even utter such a claim is the height of arrogance and self righteousness.
That suggests to me is that the ACLU and people of that ilk (i.e., democrats) really do think that most people are dumb, stupid and ignorant and need their benevolent leadership and guidance. I categorically reject such nonsense but then I’m only one person and can only speak for myself.
To apply for a social security number, either a birth certificate (these days, most people born in America apply for a SSN in conjunction with providing information for the birth certificate) or work visas for non-citizens are needed. No SSN means no social security benefits. Democrats consider social security to be a holy grail. Yet they don’t care about that disenfranchisement.
Let’s say Jane Doe marries John Smith and becomes Jane Smith. Does that mean she loses any social security credits she’s accumulated? Of course not, she takes her marriage certificate to the nearest SSA office. Does that mean she doesn’t have to pay taxes on any money earned in the name of Jane Doe? Of course not. Her employer files a W-2 under a SSN.
The real problem is that the left has been busy obfuscating citizenship on driver’s licenses. The solution is an extension of Real ID.
We used to have neighborhood polling places staffed by neighborhood volunteers who knew everyone in the neighborhood. Then you had to sign in a book showing all the registered voters in the neighborhood. That system worked very well.
