A Blast from the 2008 Election Past

"After discussions with his inner circle, which explains the delay in his speech, McCain decided not to pursue the voter fraud in PA and Ohio, despite his staff's desire to make it an issue. He said no. Staff felt they could get a federal injunction to stop the process. McCain felt the crowds assembled in support of Obama and such would be detrimental to our country and it would do our nation no good for this to drag out like last go around, coupled with the possibility of domestic violence."

Bashing the Conservative Media

I have seen a variety of articles and editorials taking the conservative media, primarily FOX News, to task for its overenthusiastic reporting on a landslide that never materialized. And that's fair enough. But when you have an entity called "Conservative Media" or "Liberal Media" then the bias is baked in. It would be nice if we had a genuinely independent media, but no such thing exists.

Democrats Now the 'Party of Hurricanes'

Considering FEMA's failures, it is doubly obscene that Obama exploited the devastation of Hurricane Sandy while not giving a damn about the people affected by it. But that's par for the course in the 'Party of Hurricanes' where, if you can use a corpse as a prop to get back into the Oval Office you do it and then you send a 'thank you' letter to the hurricane.

"Tyranny, Like Hell, Is Not Easily Conquered; Yet We Have this Consolation with Us, That the Harder the Conflict, the More Glorious the Triumph"

"The Commander in Chief returns his thanks to the Generals and other officers and men concerned in yesterday’s attack on the enemy’s left wing for the spirit and bravery they manifested in driving the enemy from field to field... This they will remember and assure themselves that on the next occasion, by a proper exertion of the powers which God has given them, and inspired by the cause of freedom in which they are engaged, they will be victorious." Getting Through the Next Few Hours

Romney is nothing is not a dogged competitor. He has gone into this committed to winning and by announcing that he hasn't written a concession speech, has in essence burnt his bridges. That means that he will not make the same mistake that Nixon did with JFK and will almost certainly insist that every vote be counted.
