Islamic Sharia law, which calls for such barbaric punishments as stoning and beheading, and which mandates discrimination against non-Muslims and women, was on the ballot for Texas Republicans.
And the results were both decisive and revealing.
Republican primary voters across Texas overwhelmingly supported a ballot proposition calling for the prohibition of Sharia law, according to unofficial results from the March 2026 Primary Election.
The measure—Proposition 10—asked voters whether Texas should prohibit the use of Sharia law. The proposition was one of 10 non-binding questions placed on the Republican primary ballot by the Republican Party of Texas to gauge grassroots priorities ahead of the party’s 2026 convention and the 2027 legislative session.
Around 95% of Republicans voted to ban Sharia law. Only 5% voted against. Here are the numbers.
Yes: 1,903,489 (94.81%)
No: 104,290 (5.19%)
What’s significant here is the sheer number, nearly 2 million, who voted to ban Sharia law. That’s a powerful voice.
It also means that the pro-Islam caucus within the movement remains marginal, whether it’s the Jeb Bush side or the Tucker Carlson side.
In recent months, Tucker Carlson has praised Sharia Islamic law and claimed that opponents of Islam are bigots.
“Attacking millions of Americans because they’re Muslims, it’s disgusting. And I’m a Christian. I know there’s effort to claim I’m a secret Jihadi. I’m not. You should not attack on those grounds. And you’re seeing that from Republicans. What the hell are you doing?” he hectored attendees at AmFest.
In the process, Tucker rejected Charlie Kirk’s warning that “Islam is the sword the left is using to slit the throat of America.”
“I don’t know anyone in the United States in the last 24 years who’s been killed by radical Islam,” Tucker argued, and claimed in Saudi Arabia, the home of the 9/11 hijackers, that “diversity is our strength.”
Texas Republicans have rejected Tucker’s Islamization propaganda and taken a stand for America.
Texas still needs to do something about the third world immigration from India, South America and elsewhere that Abbott has allowed. Whites are now a minority in Texas, they’ve been outbred and outnumbered by the Hispanics.
And Texas has now become a massive epicenter of Indian mass migration and fraud. Harris County’s IT department, Universal Services, is controlled entirely by Indian migrants. They’re also committing election fraud in DFW and Houston.
The demographic transformation of Texas caused by mass third world immigration is so bad that it’s gotten to the point where it’s possible the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex is less white than the NYC metro area, Chicagoland, the San Francisco Bay Area and even the Greater Los Angeles area.
That, everyone, is what may end up turning Texas blue.
Texas is the fakest red state and is in need of the most mass deportations. Not even California comes within 1500 miles of the amount of illegals currently in Texas. Texas has become incredibly overpopulated, with overwhelmed infrastructure, and there are parts of DFW and Houston that are right behind MANHATTAN in terms of affordability.
You are correct. I live in a suburb north of Austin. We are beginning to look like Mumbai. The Indian homeowners in my neighborhood almost universally have unkempt yards with discarded trash amongst the weeds and bare dirt. The HOA gives them a pass. Our financial advisor has some Indian clients whom he asked how they came to our little suburb. The answer was shocking: a billboard advertised the name of my city as welcoming Indian migration – so our local businesses are encouraging Indians to come here.
People do not realize India’s population is about 1,480,000,000 (that’s BILLION) while ours is about 342,000,000 (of which white people are about half and falling). When I drive my car past elementary and middle schools, the playgrounds are almost universally brown children with black hair. Very few white children.
These Indian newcomers take advantage of government programs which advantage them disproportionately because of their ethnic and racial status. It seems second nature to them because it is. Their country runs upon graft and they did not absorb much of western values despite many years of colonization.
The vote totals from Tuesday’s election showed democrat voters exceeded republicans by a comfortable margin. The californiacation of Texas has been successful through mass migration. Time to sell my house and leave.
Texas has only stayed red because it has a large segment of its minority population that has traditionally not voted. It has the lowest voter participation of all 50 states.
I’d argue the situation in Texas is far worse than in Florida. Yes, Florida’s being overwhelmed by newcomers, it’s become overwhelmingly overpriced, but Florida is still majority white, and that state has shifted significantly to the right since 2016 thanks to Trump and DeSantis, and it’s now a safe red state. And its Cuban population has always been a reliable GOP voting bloc.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised to see Texas refugees moving to other states like Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and possibly the Rust Belt within the next decade.
That’s the plan. I am old, but want to move strategically to be able to establish a place where my children might have hope. There are some really nice gated retirement communities here (where I fantasize about whizzing around in my golf cart with my dogs), but that does nothing for my children, really.
