Every time a teachers’ union is in the news is almost invariably another reminder of why they shouldn’t exist.
This time around the Texas branch of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) on behalf of teachers who faced discipline over comments about Charlie Kirk’s murder. The lawsuit never actually discloses what they actually did or said except in the most vague language.
But we can pretty clearly identify one of them.
“Teacher 1 is a member of Texas AFT, and until recently served as a high school English teacher in an independent school district near Houston. On the day of Mr. Kirk’s death, Teacher 1 posted questions on her public Facebook page prompting a debate about the assassination of Mr. Kirk and her viewpoint that karma played a role in his death.”
‘That karma played a role in his death.’
Let’s see the actual comments.
Screenshots of posts by two other teachers from Lee High School in Goose Creek ISD east of Houston. The screenshots show posts from one of the teachers writing, “Looks like his so called ‘facts’ caught up with him” and “#Karma is a b*tch.”
That seems to be the likely reference here.
As you may imagine not a single media story covering this bothered specifically citing the comments because that would be unhelpful to their narrative.
Instead there’s boilerplate verbiage like this.
The lawsuit also argues that the policy guiding the investigations is vague and overly broad, creating a widely negative attitude on educators’ freedom of speech and even harming their employment prospects.
The lawsuit argues the actions targeted teachers “for social media posts and other speech made outside the classroom and unrelated to their official duties,” actions the ATF argues were in violation of the First Amendment.
I’m going to speculate that if a prominent transgender activist had been shot and a conservative teacher had been fired for posting “Karma is a b___h”, the media stories would find it relevant to…
1. Discuss his politics in depth
2. Quote what he actually said
Since it’s their people in trouble, the media instead blathers about constitutional speech protection without quoting the speech in question.
I’m not sure what’s worse, teachers’ unions or the media, but they both have the same goal. And it’s pretty obvious what that is.

Those Unions are as Corrupt as they can be the NEA and the rest Brainwashing the youth its no wonder they oppose the Parents from getter involved they want the youth to be loyal to Big Brother as they can
Teachers and the media are both maggots, Back in 1968 Australia ,when I was a six year old, my year one primary school teacher sicked the bullies on me over comments I made in support of Vietnam War, members of my family serving in the military and against the communist lies and propaganda about Australian troops being baby killers and rapists. She then sided with the bullies in the fights that followed. My parents had to complain to the Education Department and get a child psychologist to assess me. This triggered an investigation resulting in the witch being demoted and transferred to another school at years end. Needless to say the union protected her in what should have been a child abuse case. This bullying continued all though primary and high school and all over what my WW2 combat veteran father said about the Anti-Vietnam Protesters of the time.
You believe the union protected her even though she was demoted and transferred to another school. That demotion and transfer would be unthinkable today because it represents a victory for you, however small and temporary. Today, that teacher would be given greater authority and salary – maybe even rise to a 6-figure administrative job where she could protect others like herself.
She should have been fired, and would have been without the union.
The late ’60s is when the teachers’ unions in Australia became complete leftard scum.
Quite a few of my teachers in the 1970s absolutely despised them.
They’ve managed to get a lot worse since.
They don’t know what “Karma” means.
And these are the people teaching Texas kids.
SAD!
The biggest problem in our schools is academics take a back seat to social indoctrination. I have no problem with these teachers being investigated for spewing their hatred by celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder. And I would expect the same for any teacher spewing hatred towards a leftist who was murdered. Teachers should be held to a higher standard and if they don’t like it, then quit and go where your hatred towards others does not directly affect children.
I didn’t know that “karma” was a code word for psycho leftist antifa tranny murderer.
“We all have it coming kid”
The fraud is so deep, so vast, so insidious and pervasive in so many established NGO bureaucracies stealing and money laundering our coffers, that we have yet to see the tsunami of karma that’s coming to these vile satanic honiac pekkerheads! GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED! Nor HIS WILL and PLANS for HIS Creation.
Like Radar O’Reilly: “Wait for it. Watch for it.”
Just like any organization that gets to big they get stupid
imo there should be no unions for people working for the govt as it causes indirect corruption
