Virtually every time you tune into conservative talk shows, you hear show hosts and their guests declare that the Democratic Party is all but finished. The same phenomenon occurs when visiting conservative news and opinion sites.
Seemingly everyone on the Right is convinced that we are witnessing the demise of the Democrat Party. We learn of demented Democrat leaders who rationalize or mock the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We see extreme radicals like Zohran Mamdani who could well become the next mayor of New York City. We encounter stories about Michelle Wu in Boston, Brandon Johnson in Chicago, and Karen Bass in Los Angeles among countless woke mayors who are driving their cities into the ground.
We think to ourselves, okay, great. They’re digging their own graves. It will only be a matter of time before the voters un-elect them and bring in individuals more moderate, more rational.
We encounter reports about ineffective governors like Gavin Newsom of California, J.B. Pritzker of Illinois, Wes Moore of Maryland, and Phil Murphy of New Jersey and we conclude that the voters in those states will not continue to elect such leaders, especially those who espouse radical ideas about illegal aliens, voting procedures, the dispensation of tax dollars, and so on.

Now consider that the Democrat party is not dead. Half of America continues to believe that Trump is an evil dictator, the GOP only cares about the rich, Republicans are racist, U.S. foreign policies is in shambles, the tariffs aren’t working, transsexuals belong in women’s sports, Putin perpetually outfoxes Donald Trump, China is overtaking us, and illegal immigrants deserve a ton of freebies
Half of the country believes as such because, as you and I know, they’ve been thoroughly indoctrinated by Leftist media, which unfortunately predominates in society and largely controls public discourse. Certainly the blogs, alternate news sites, and a variety of other credible sources have made inroads.
Still, 74,999,166 million people voted for Kamala Harris, a highly unqualified candidate who would have had zero capabilities on the international stage, allowed millions more to flood our borders, vanquished our education system, and drained the U.S. Treasury beyond repair. In other words, all is not well with much of the voting populace.
Prior to her installation as the Democrat presidential nominee, Harris had the lowest rating among VPs, ever. As a senator she was unpopular. When she ran for the Democratic nomination in 2020 she was eliminated by one stinger observation from Tulsi Gabbard.
Harris hastily exited the primaries without garnering a single vote. Yet, four years later, incredibly, nearly 75 million people voted for her.
Money to Spare
One can argue that many millions were simply casting a non-Trump vote.
Switch out Kamala Harris, however, and grab someone like Gavin Newsom. Although he’s a disaster as a governor, occasionally he does spout a few intelligent sentences.
Newsom will be bankrolled beyond belief by Leftist billionaires and the power elite in California. He will represent a potentially formidable adversary to the Republican nominee be it J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio.
If not Newsom, somebody else will emerge. Why is a madman like Mamdani on the verge of claiming the mayoral post in New York? He is being bankrolled to the tune of two billion dollars by George Soros in a grand scheme designed to make it look like Mamdani’s campaign is all grassroots.
We Are Not a Lock
In any case, we must not let down our guard. It is sobering to recall the so-called Red Wave that was supposed to occur in the 2022 elections. Likewise, we are not a lock for the 2026 primaries. What’s more, we are not a lock for the 2028 presidential election, and House and Senate elections.
No matter what amazing accomplishments Donald Trump and company are able to achieve over the next several months and years, the Left will twist the news and, sadly, their constituents won’t know the difference.
So it doesn’t matter how ineffective and how far to the Left the Democrat Party has moved. They are not dead. They’ve got the funds, they’ve got the resources, they’ve got the global audience, and they’ve got everything they need to continue on.
We must be vigilant and make sure we vote in all forthcoming elections, influence our friends, write commentary and opinion pieces, and make our voices heard. To do less is to signal that we’ve been lulled to sleep. To believe that we’re simply going to keep winning elections from now on is pure folly.
The democrats became the party of criminals and terrorists when they let the islamists and communists in.
It’ll only get worse unless those two specific groups are targeted for utter destruction.
Both islam and communism are the real dictatorships who oppress people and have committed lots of genocides.
The government and media should reveal them for who they really are. Non-stop.
If the current admin doesn’t fight back the way it should then America is lost already.

Exactly! Conservatives should not be thinking they have anything in the bad, because we don’t. The country is split right down the middle. It won’t take much for the left to regain political power. Far to many on the right are overly confident, giddy, resting on laurels and all of that. If we don’t stay focused, turn out the vote for every election in every state all the way down to dog catcher, and be willing to do our part to hold what we have (at the very least) and then some, the left could readily swoop into power once again.
Ignorance and stupidity are rampant in this country. People who have no discernible ability to gauge truth or falsehood. So long as this persists so does Marxism and the Democrat Party.
We already know that. The question is, what is the right going to do about it? From what I see, other than to complain, nothing.
Voting will do nothing to thwart or stop the violent extreme leftists/democrats or slow them down and everyone knows it. There’s only one way to deal with them. It’s either that or capitulate and passively submit to their agenda.
World history is replete with examples of when submission to evil people, regimes and “isms” has resulted in millions of deaths (e.g., Stalin, Mao, Hussein, Pol Pot, Hitler, etc., etc)
Don’t think for one second that that can’t happen here in America. It’s already happening. The American people just haven’t recognized it (or refuse to recognize it) for what it is yet.
Are there any doubts about what the far left/dems will do if they gain absolute power? Judging by current examples, we all know the answer to that.

The media is a big factor. But we should also realize that the US educational system has for some time been indoctrinating students starting in kindergarten. After around 17 years of being programmed, most students graduating from college now are thoroughly leftist. Hence, the political split along age lines in the NYC mayoral race.
We have seen this before in totalitarian regimes. One example is Cuba’s “New Socialist Men.”
It is ironic that after battling foreign communist powers during the Cold War, we are gradually moving toward communism in the US. Unless we take indoctrination out of the education system in the US, we will lose the battle from within.
The most amazing part is we welcomed the indoctrinators with open arms.
The indoctrinators were ignored and tolerated by conservatives. Everything is downstream from education. And now the river has become a polluted stinking cesspool.

Nobody thinks we’re “a lock” on anything. Han Solo’s advice is still pertinent. “Don’t get cocky, kid.” But if Trump and Charlie Kirk taught us anything, the pessimistic over estimation of our enemies will do more harm than good. We need to stop believing the gaslighting that tells us we a small minority. We are not. We are the 80% of all 20/80 issues. 80 million people did not vote for Joe Biden, and 75 million did not vote for Kamala either. Trump’s gift has been to make the left rip off its mask and show the reptilian creature beneath. The world is seeing them, maybe for the first time, for what they are.
Millions were deeply affected by Charlie Kirk’s death and memorial service; they, we, have felt the earth shifting under our feet. Now is the time to get off our cushy butts and “Fight, fight, fight”.

Democrats are the new face of communism, “the ends justify the means.” They lie, cheat, steal and gerrymander. Why would any Conservative group be so naive to not understand that they are carved themself into the political rock with their methods: again, gerrymandering, voter fraud and cheating and the backing of the Media. The general population has no wish for change; they just want to watch their big screen television and eat snacks.
The left could nominate a Black Mamba for president and that snake could win the presidency based on racial bias. That is how misinformed the people comprising the democrat electorate are.
They aren’t misinformed. They consciously accept what the Stalinist left offers. The so called “American People” have changed in their attitudes and now consist of millions of envious, third world “immigrants” who despise our founding principles and anyone who represents those ideals.
The Democrats aren’t sunk, because there are only 2 political parties in the United States. At some point people are going to tire of the GOP and give Dems another chance. How long that takes depends partly on the Dems and whether they can take the radical edges off their messages. BTW Jeff, if Dems want to make trans people playing in women’s sports the main ballot issue, that is a fight the GOP will take (and win) every day.

Dems lie, steal, cheat and gerrymander their way to dominate the blue cities and states all over this country. Voters are not interested enough to see it, they just keep voting by habit and name recognition as long as we make it too easy to vote. Only the serious participant in political discussion should vote, don’t encourage all others unless you are sure they would vote smart.
Look around. It’s not about “Right Wing” and “Left Wing”, or Truth and Lies anymore. It’s about Good and Evil, plain and simple; warfare in Heaven spilling over into the Here-and-Now. The Sheep and Goats are being separated. There is no such thing as a “Born Again Saved” Christian who is a Democrat. Voting for a politician who supports abortion or “Planned Parenthood” checks a box in your “Evil” column at the Final Judgment. Democrats support Evil. Search for a mention of “God” in the Official Democrat Party Platform. You will not find it.
Except that it isn’t really 50:50 anymore, and it might be a reach to interpret results based on the total votes cast because presidents are NOT elected based on the popular vote, it’s based on electoral college votes. I think it’s also a mistake to go by polling conducted by legacy media, which has been dying for years, there is a good reason why the companies who owned CNN and MSNBC have either offloaded, or are trying to unload these entities, their ratings are awful, there are online podcasts who have more views.
Then we have the demographic shifts, I have seen it posted by bloggers and commenters on this site for years that the migration of people from blue states to red ones would turn the latter blue. However these states, in addition to gaining population, and Congressional House seats, and electoral college votes, have been turning more and more red. Anyone remember the 2020 election in Florida, now the only are of Florida that Dems can get elected is Miami-Dade, and it’s purple now, NOT blue.
The Dems are lead by radicals who have locked them into a 20:80 doom loop on several issues, sure, that could change, but it’s morons like AOC and Mandani that have been pulling the party further and further left and alienating working class voters, across the board. Supporting sex changes for minors, pron books in school libraries, open borders, radical environmentalism, the catch and release of criminals, and now the physical elimination of political opponents are NOT winners. Closing the boarder, cutting taxes, red tape, renegotiating trade deals, or creating new ones, to get domestic manufacturing going again are very popular, and Trump/Vance have also made the strategic move to be more friendly to labour unions.
Also you have to look at voter registrations, not all states do this but in the states that have voter registration by party preference the Republican registrations are outstripping the Dem ones, and either narrowing the gap, or surpassing it. This isn’t counting the independents either. Under Trump republicans made gains even in counties where they did not win, and won in many counties that Biden “won” in 2020.
I’m not saying that one should be complacent, but it’s not as dire as some will make it out to be. I think it’s a mistake to believe that Harris only lost by the skin of her teeth, Trump did win the popular vote as well as the electoral college this time. I think it’s also a mistake that the Dems have much better candidates waiting in the wings, they rigged the 2020 primaries to keep Bernie out, and kept Biden literally until the 11th hour before appointing Harris. If they were more serious they would never have allowed a dud like Tim Walz to be picked, but they did because Josh Shapiro would have been a bridge to far for the deteriorating Dem coalition. Newsom, or Newscum as Trump calls him, has a record almost as bad as Tim Walz, California’s economy has deteriorated substantially under his misrule, along with crime, and just basic management of infrastructure.
Again the billionaire donors were brought up, Harris only did as well as she did after they had dumped $1.5 billion into her campaign, in spite of this they still overspent by tens of millions of dollars. Also Soros, Reed Hoffmann and others, are being investigated for their financial support of Antifa, and similar radical groups, under RICO statutes, so they may not be able to “belly up to the bar” if their finances are frozen, and they may be very careful about what they spend, and where.
Those half are the same who still read the NYT,s and Watch CNN Fake News
