Order Jamie Glazov’s new book, ‘United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny, Terror, and Hamas’: HERE.
What the world is watching in Iran is not a sudden spark. It is the flame that never died from the ashes of 1979.
That year did not mark the success of a revolution. It marked the burial of freedom. Iranians were promised justice and independence. They were given a theocracy and a firing squad instead. Every uprising since has been a return to unfinished business, but this one is different. This one may be the final battle.
It’s been 17 days. Millions in the streets. More than 400 cities are involved. There’s no foreign funding. No approved slogans. No soft-spoken “opposition” figures in exile. This is raw. This is real. This is organic. This is a revolution the West didn’t design, and that’s exactly why it’s being ignored.
Over 600 people have been killed, including at least 9 children, most from gunshot wounds to the head, neck, and eyes. The regime has shut down the internet, electricity, water, and phone lines. For three full days, the country is in total blackout. Iranians are dying in silence.
Where are the emergency sessions? The UN resolutions? The press coverage? Where are the world leaders calling for regime change as they did for Iraq, Libya, or Afghanistan? Where are the journalists who swarmed Gaza? They’re not coming because this revolution isn’t a product. It’s not a color-coded project they can manage. It’s not chaos they can profit from. It’s an uprising with direction, and they don’t want it to succeed.
Because Iran is not just another country. Iran has always been the crown of the region. It borders two seas, holds two deserts, and rises across two mountain ranges. Its location connects Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Its soil holds oil, gas, uranium, copper, gold, and rare minerals. Iran leads the world in saffron production. It sits on a major opium corridor. It has agriculture, industry, and natural defenses that few countries can match. What happens if Iran becomes free? If this regime falls and the next government is neither a puppet nor a sworn enemy. The entire game ends.
A sovereign, secular Iran led by someone with the credibility of Reza Pahlavi, someone with a legacy of making Iran strong, independent, and stable, doesn’t serve global interests. It threatens them. No more proxy wars. No more excuses for foreign military presence. No more sanctions to manipulate. Even the Islamic Republic is more useful than a restored, confident Iran, because chaos creates leverage. But a leader who can unite the people and rebuild the nation without selling it off to foreign bidders? That’s bad business.
That’s why no one is coming to help. Not the U.S., not Europe, not the media, not the UN. They’re not waiting to see if this revolution wins. They’re waiting to see if it can be hijacked like 1979.
This is not an analysis based on studies or research. This is the lived experience and full-time dedication of someone whose entire adult life has been shaped by this fight. As an Iranian-American, a former child bride, and someone who has seen the inside of this regime’s prison, both physically and psychologically, I have also spent the last 24 years witnessing how Western powers operate from the other side. I have exposed the Red-Green Axis and Islamist supremacy in every corner of the world for over a decade, and knowing where we are today, there are only three ways this ends:
First:
Iranians take the country back themselves. Trained, prepared citizens, already in place, move at the right time. The regime collapses from inside. This is the outcome they all fear most because a free Iran owes them nothing. But even in this scenario, real allies could make the difference between a bloodbath and a breakthrough. Mossad has operated inside Iran before. The United States has the ability to take out critical regime infrastructure without putting boots on the ground. If America still claims to be a friend of the Iranian people and has any interest in correcting the disaster Jimmy Carter helped create, this is the moment to prove it.
Second:
The revolution is hijacked. Foreign actors step in, remove the regime, and install a transition government that keeps them in charge. The slogans change. The faces change. But the outcome is the same. It becomes another failed color revolution added to the list. And once again, the Iranian people will have to fight their way out, just like the Afghans and Iraqis were forced to do after the headlines moved on.
Third:
Khamenei hands power to the IRGC, just as he did during the 12-Day War with Israel. He retreats to his bunker and authorizes a military crackdown while keeping the regime intact. The Islamic Republic survives through force, and this battle continues for Iranians with even fewer tools and even higher stakes.
All eyes are on Iran, and history is taking note. This is the moment for freedom lovers who talk the talk to start walking the walk.

I have noticed how the Western media has more or less ignored the situation in Iran compared to the capture of Maduro in Venezuela; the ongoing conflict the Palestinians’ have with the Israelis, etc. The only time there is any significant press coverage in the West is more of whether President Trump will send the U.S. military to help the protesting Iranians and how it will affect Israel’s policy toward Iran and that is it. Pretty much the rest of any coverage downplays why the Iranians want to overthrow the murderous mullahs in the first place.
It seems that the Western media want to use any actions of President Trump in some form of “GOTCHA journalism” where if something goes terribly wrong, the media can use it for the Democrats to attack President Trump’s “failed” foreign policy.
I understand that they no longer walk or drive over the large American Flag painted on the pavement in Teran
You are totally right. President Trump has to keep his word and provide the Iranians with the wherewithals and the military intervention required to allow the revolution to succeed otherwise it will be a bloodbath, a cauldron in which Iran’s best and bravest will perish. Trump would be like Stalin stopping his army at the gates of Warsaw and letting the Nazis crush the incredibly courageous but eventually desperate Warsaw uprising. Nothing less than treason.
The comment about no outside control of the revolution is quite telling and interesting.
Trump encouraged Iranians to rise up with promises of aid. They rose and Trump pulled the rug out from under them. The Mullahs will prevail and a new Iran will be even more unlikely. Obama abandoned Iranians, but at least he didn’t encourage them to rise up. If and when the Mullahs are overthrown, Iranians will hate America.
When did he pull the rug?
He didn’t.
Nor did he send billions in cash stacked on pallets to give the scumbag mullah some walking around money. [Jug-eared Barry]
Nor did he ease the oil embargo which gave Kohamani more billions. [Sleepy Joe]
I was nervous when Trump said he’d negotiate.
I was relieved when Trump made the red-line conditions impossible for the mullahs to accept (Hence, Trump was jerking their chain).
Members of the IRGC are already meeting with accidents. More to come.
He has not acted. Leaks come out that Qatar and Vance (well, that is one and the same) pressure Trump to allow Iran regime to continue. He made an amazingly inane comment about needing numbers and proof that the Iran regime was…..wait for it….”behaving badly” – as if “Death to America” and funding Hamas 10/7 and Hizbollah proxies were not bad enough, not to mention videos of murders of Iranians and body bags in the streets and today, hanging people.
He who hesitates is lost.
The people of Iran may be lost once again.
That must be “The Democratic Response”.
Installing Reza Pahlavi at this point would seem like another government being imposed on Iran from outsiders, as was the Ayatollah. On the other hand, I don’t know the state of the opposition inside Iran, how organized or how fractured they are. If the military was smart they would kick the Mullahs to the curb and cooperate in a transfer of power.
No, the people are chanting Javid Shah in the streets. Ask Anni, but I think it means bring back the Shah. This is NOT imposed. They want him and he wants to return and to lead some form of democratic government. He is much better tha what is there now. This could go a long way to healing the world.
But some bank accounts and power bases will diminish.
There was a video of an Iranian refugee on World Israel News. He said that for them, Pahlavi symbolises freedom – they aren’t interested in royalty or pomp and circumstance, they just believe that this man will help them to sustain the freedom that they still hope to gain.
The incompetent Jimmy Carter made several incompetent decisions resulting in serious damage to us & the world.
Assisting the Ayatollah into power was jaw-droppinly belligerent.
It only took 47 years for Carter’s worst mistake to finally end.
(Iran under the mullahs have bolstered more war & death than the imagination defies. Yet the idiots in Oslo gave the fool Carter a Nobel Peace Prize.)
Many times over that terrorist state of Iran which started during the year 1979 it is a brutal cruel death inflecting machine. Now it proved that it is s not a genuine government but a murderous regime, in other words a mass murder regime.
Iran International estimates that as many as 12,000 people have been slaughtered by the Iranian regime.
I have heard on the news that Trump and Israel aren’t doing anything to help Iran remove the murderous leaders. I don’t happen to have a top-secret clearance, but how does anyone know for sure what the Massad and President Trump are doing, outside of the intelligence community? What we see on the surface doesn’t give us the true story. The people of Iran are the bravest people on the planet. They are basically fighting with bricks and any captured weapons that they are fortunate to accommodate. It is very possible that there is much more activity going on behind the scenes to topple the wretched psycho leaders than most people are aware of.
Pray for freedom in Iran.
Definitely. I seem to recall that US involvement in the air strikes occurred after there had seemed to be a mild disagreement with Mr Netanyahu – the appearance of dithering may simply be aimed at getting them off-guard.
Here’s wishing success to that first outcome option, with more emphasis on breakthrough than bloodbath please. The other options sound real lousy.
Perhaps the main takeaway though is that all three options do at least ultimately have the Iranian people fighting through to victory over tyrants. Sounds about right!
Trump will intervene in Iran he has to wait till the scum that run the country step over the line, which will come soon. I think it will be a decapitation of the regime and will set the events of the regime change in progress, God Bless the people of Iran and Donald trump..
The mullahs regime has been and is being supported by the communists and Russa (even after fall of soviet union).
The communists are using low IQ, inbred islamists as a proxy tool against the West.
And the islamists are equally using the communists to provoke WWIII between the East and the West while they stay out of it.
What side the free Iranians will be on? What are their options? Freedoms and democracy or a socialist/communist state?
How deep is islam engraved into majority of Iranians hearts and minds? Will they renounce islam? Because if they don’t nothing will change at all and Iranians will continue to suffer, and be a threat to the rest of humanity.
The options are either continue the evil alliance with the socialists/communists or a modern Western democracy leading to prosperity and more freedoms.
Despite all the true claims of Iran’s rich historic culture, there is not much of it left to dominate and undo the damage that islamic/Arab invasion of Iran for centuries has done.
The mullahs and their terrorist thugs are 100% followers of the Arabic/islamic culture.
The Persian language is more than half Arabic words. The majority of their names are Arabic.
Can Iranians undo all of the evil that has been forced upon them for centuries?
Will Iranians renounce Islam? Very doubtful, if I were betting on it, I would only give that a 10% chance of ever happening. These people have been brainwashed for most, if not all, of their lives.
I believe President Trump will follow through on his promise to the Iranian people.
I hope so, but after Venezuela, he will definitely have to run it by Congress or everyone will be screaming impeachment.
Yes, I believe he will, too. Yet, he has to have good and timely intelligence to strike a useful blow. It can’t be a symbolic strike. It also doesn’t help to make a strike that kills Iranian civilians without doing much damage to the regime. Unfortunately the regime with the aid of Russians and Chinese are doing all they can to prevent actionable intelligence, and are engaging in fake intelligence as well.
This current unrest seemed to catch everyone unaware and without a real plan.
Why aren’t the same progressive peace loving people who were in the streets protesting against Israel after the massacre of October 7 not in the streets now protesting against the Iranian government that is killing thousands of its own citizens?
Simple. Because they can’t blame Israel for it.
“If it’s not Jews, it’s not news.”
What I least want to see is an unweakened IRGC toughing it out. For a plan to succeed, there has to be a sufficient mutiny.
New York Post today is saying thousands of protestors have been
killed. And that hospitals are so over loaded with the wounded,
the doctors are collapsing from exhaustion. Healthcare facilities
are on the verge of shutting down and all are experiencing “rivers
of blood”.
May God help the Iranian people.
Anni is so right about the Left being against this and for the West
ignoring for the most part what is happening in Iran. The ongoing
attempted overthrow of the Iranian regime is the most important
thing happening on Earth today. Because it is a war against Islam –
and for freedom. And hence, a war against Globalist tyranny.
The same war the American people are threatened with and the
same war the European people are already ensconced in. The
twin forces of digital dictatorship and Islamic totalitarianism are
trying to dominate the world.
Amighty God – please help the Iranian people on the front lines
now in this battle of good against evil.
I hope President Trump orders the parachute dropping of weapons, ammo, and radio sets (satellite communication devices) to the Iranian freedom fighters. This strategy helped liberate Nazi occupied Europe from another ruthless dictatorship.
Mark Levin’s contact who escaped Iran says it’s a massacre, with thousands and thousands and thousands killed, uprising on the verge of collapse. Another Trump failure where he blustered and threatened but then didn’t act. He did it repeatedly with Hamas and now Iran. I have no idea why he does this. It not only makes him appear weak, but it emboldens evil actors and they know he won’t do anything. Sickening doesn’t even begin to describe it. (And I am a Trump supporter.)
Buy I digress… Also reading that US military is being told to leave bases in the ME as Trump considers military action against Iran.
Oh, well, as long as he’s considering it, it should work as well as the rest of his bluster and threats. Will we intervene before it’s too late, or is it already too late?
Reading lots of updates at the Daily Wire. Apparently, among other things, Trump may take action against Iran if the regime starts hanging protestors. So I guess in Trump world, shooting them is ok, but hanging will cross the line (whatever that line even means beyond words). Trump has also said the killing looks “significant” and if the numbers can be confirmed, we may take action.
Almost folks. (eyeroll)
May G-d bless the Iranian people and make a miracle.
Trump says help is on the way. So far seems all talk.
The Iranian people have risen everywhere in Iran. With that kind of power in numbers AND ARMS, how could they not win? I keep hearing they will have arms when the time is right. What conditions will make it the right time? They are being mowed down while being worn down without water, electricity, etc.
I’ve read there is a different reason (several reasons could be true) than just the ones Ms Cyrus cites. The left hates this country, hates Israel, and hates Western Civ so they would support anyone who feels the same. Since Iran’s, with Khamenei as its dictator, motto is Death to America! First the Little Satan, then the Great Satan! and backs this up by funding terror all over the world (U.S. Europe,) they would WANT Khamenei and his successors (if nothing changes) to stay in power.
Since the Democratic Socialists of America has come out with a statement of support for Khamenei, I think it’s a valid reason.
No outside influence? I guess you don’t count the CIA or Mosad. They have bragged about their agents helping stoke the crowds. Does anyone care about the Constitution? Congress never declared war against Venezuela? Now Trump is going to attack Iran? How convenient that the unrest is going on right now.
There is also the ethnic factor to consider. In ancient times I believe various ethnic groups held power at different times.
