Gov. Gavin Newsom and elements of the media keep making the claim that Republican states ‘red states’ have higher crime than Democrat states or ‘blue states’. This is really one of those ‘lying with statistics’ exercises.
The national political split is in great part an urban-rural split. Crime is an urban problem. That means it’s by definition of a Democrat problem since there’s hardly any such creature as a ‘Republican city’.
One major (and perhaps the biggest difference) between conservative and liberal states is that liberal states revolve around urban areas while in conservative states, urban areas are either so small they’re an afterthought or they’re broken hellholes. Outside of Florida and one or two other cases, there isn’t really an equivalent of L.A. or NYC in conservative states, a wealthy and prosperous city that plays a major role but which also has a sizable criminal underclass.
And so what you really end up with is comparing apples to oranges or L.A. to Jackson, Mississippi (Jackson always comes up when someone is invoking the myth of high-crime red states.) Jackson was formerly run by a leftist black nationalist named Chokwe Antar Lumumba, whose father wanted to create a black separatist city. It’s over 80% black.
The usual pattern with the so-called ‘high crime’ Democrat cities in Republican states is that they’re mostly in the South and occasionally in the Rust Belt, they’re majority minority cities with nothing really going for them.
Technically they have higher murder rates than LA or NYC, but they also lack the diversity, the wealth and the non-criminal prosperous population that lower the per capita crime rates of LA or NYC. Focus in on minority parts of LA or NYC and the crime rates will look very similar.
These cities not only don’t have Republican leaders, demographically they’re out of step with the state. Newsom and the media are really attacking blaming Republicans for crime committed in majority minority, mostly black cities.
Republican states aren’t high-crime states. Only Democrat cities are.
That sounds RACIST. Now the truth is racist.
And homophobic and transphobic. Every D-Bag knows only white heterosexuals commit crimes and are all white supremacists, except for the Moslem ones.

That reminded me, in the 1950s it was a big thing among urban planners to create high density cities. The problem is the behavior of the people changes, which wasn’t taken into account. The assumption was that the city populations would continue to be well-behaved civilized people, like the 1950s people generally were.
I read about that. The lefty D-Bag scum either haven’t learned or actually WANT astronomical crime rates because they’re still trying to pack us in and also make us rely on unreliable, slow, scummy and dangerous public transportation. And don’t get me started on how many loonies use it.
We have a light rail system here in San Jose which is quite good but the bus system is a nightmare. I use the light rail when I don’t want to drive and it has its dirty derelicts who ride for free and a smattering of scumbags and loonies. One of my girls rides without paying because she doesn’t ever seem to have any money. I ran into her a couple times doing that. I would’ve paid her fare if I had run into her on the platform instead of on the train. The Valley Transit Authority people who periodically check passenger’s fares know her by name, LOL. They like her though and are nice to her. They don’t even kick her off because she’s very sweet natured although a bit crazy. She’s very attractive though and clean. Crazy chicks need loving too.
If you ever come to San Jose I recommend the light rail. You’ll save money on gas.

Yeah, a whole bunch of them. They even have ones which specialize in pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, which even us Gentiles love. I think those are Jewish. Most of the rest of the menus are stuff I don’t know about but they taste good and my father is Jewish. He thinks he’s German.
My family used to eat a lot of latkes when we lived in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Everybody called them German pancakes or potato pancakes. Same food, different names. We used to eat them with apple sauce. Good stuff.

California’s voter districts are just about as gerrymandered as humanly possible to reward the Dirtbagocrat party but Newscum is illegally trying to make it 100% gerrymandered for the D-Bags even as I type this. It’s his prissy publicity tantrum over Texas fixing some of its D-Bag gerrymandered districts.
The D-Bags already have crime at record level in CA mainly because of their strongholds of LA, San Francisco and to a lesser degree, San Diego. There’s lots of crime here in San Jose, which is the third largest city in CA after LA and San Diego and tenth largest in the country but it’s negligible compared to those shit-holes.
Also at astronomical record levels are homelessness, taxes, prices on EVERYTHING and onerous regulations. And CA has the added deadly D-Bag curse of out of control firestorms because of their piss poor governance. No water for fire hydrants in very affluent cities such as Malibu and Pacific Palisades? Forest management is so bad it seems like sabotage? On top of all that, it’s the richest state in the union by far and spends the most tax dollars on its government school system but ranks #48 in education! WTF? How is that even possible? It’s like Newscum and the State Legislature are doing it on purpose. Of course something like 80% of “education” funds go to the administrators who almost never work and only make education worse and worse every time they do, The teachers get about 17%, I believe and a whopping 3% is spent on students who on the mean average graduate semi literate, can’t perform 6th grade level math and know nothing about science except the global climate warming hoax and nothing about history except whitey used to own slaves – and they probably think ALL whiteys did. They get plenty of indoctrination in DEI, fictional white supremacism, white rage, critical race theory, every whacko “woke” trope under the sun and of most of all, to always support the Dirtbagocrat party.
You know where the real blame is? The voters.
Yes indeed, California has gerrymandered votes by allowing illegal aliens to vote and with that vote they promise more of California and federal tax dollars to give them a cushion and free health and education for their kids!!!!
We don’t even know how many wet back voters we have here. Tens of millions at least and they’re all automatically registered to vote when they receive their illegal driver’s licenses.
CA and its people are cool but our government is evil and oppressive.
And CA is gerrymandered so blatantly that even though the Republican’t party won 41% of the state vote, even with the tens of millions of illegal aliens who voted illegally, that Republican’ts only have 19 seats out of 80 in the State Legislature while the D-Bags have 60 and one is vacant. 41% of voters are represented by only 15% of legislators.. The D-Bags are nothing if not gerrymandering, along with corruption and incompetence I think the vacant seat used to be filled by that Latin chomo who got arrested and expelled from the Legislature because he like the kiddies too much.

What if New York City were all white? NYC is one of the few large cities still publishing crime and victimization rates by race. The report released in 2025 has a graph revealing crime rates in a mythical all-white NYC.
The crime problem in NYC would almost disappear.

That said, it is also changing.
Our little town has suffered an 8-fold increase in crime – according to stats.
In experience, it’s worse. Just ten years ago we could go a week between burglaries and our last murder was decades ago. In the last ten years, we’ve had three gun-related homicides (at least), and several burglaries and robberies each week.
Part of the issue is illegals. Part is a segment of the community fleeing the Dallas hell-hole, and bringing their criminal element with them. And part is just the general collapse of civilization.
Meanwhile Demonkkkrats are falsifying crime data in Dallas. And it’s nothing new. They’ve been erasing crime by under reporting or deleting reports for decades.
It’s just gotten worse.
Yes, DC does the same. Armed robbery is “theft” and murder is “assault” and so forth.
I doubt the people robbed at gunpoint and the family members of people shot dead agree with that shit.
It has been obvious for a long time that the vast majority of the area of the USA does not have a crime problem, it has a Democrap controlled inner urban shithole problem.
No one believes that crime thrives in Republican polities.
Not even Dems.
