Gov. Tim Walz is retarded. Not because he suffers from developmental disabilities or other medical problems, but because he’s an idiot.
Everyone who isn’t Gov. Tim Walz knew exactly what President Trump was saying when he called Walz “seriously retarded”.
The fake outrage over this is just that… fake. No one is seriously outraged over Trump using “retarded”. They’re pretending to be outraged to scuttle the investigation of Somali fraud under Walz’s watch, the redistricting battle in Indiana and because being professionally outraged over anything Trump does or says is a full-time job.
The term “retarded” hasn’t been used to describe an actual mental disability in quite a while. It was an insult when I was in grade school. And before that. The same people feigning outrage over the use of “retarded” were laughing when Jon Stewart used it as his go-to insult again and again.
So they’re not outraged. They’re liars. And they’re trying to push a broken outrage button no one cares about anymore.

Budget used to refer to allocating limited resources. I have X income. I want to save Y dollars for unexpected expenses. I want to save Z dollars for retirement. The remainder is the MAXIMUM I can spend (and its better if I don’t spend the maximum – that lowers X and Y for the future giving me more flexibility). I’d like a helicopter but it doesn’t fit in my budget so I don’t get one. That’s a summary of budget.
Our government changed that from how much is available to how much is needed. Then they loosened needed to desired. No consideration is given to how much is available or even what is needed. Consider USAID. Congress doesn’t care how much we need to send to a specific country for a specific purpose (or even if we need to send money). They allocated an amount based on previous amounts plus growth and inflation with no consideration of needs or availability. Then USAID took the money and said, “We have to spend X dollars. That’s what we were budgeted. Who is asking for money?” The government produces a mandatory wish list instead of a budget.
Obama’s use of “Special Olympics”, and as I recall correctly “short bus” was much more offensive to people with disabilities. I remember when the term mentally retarded went from a regularly used medical term to strictly verboten. Medical professionals would spend two minutes trying to describe the status of a patient instead of just saying “mentally retarded”. “Intellectual disability” or “developmental disability” does not describe true retardation, but severely retarded is the perfect description of Tim Walz.
As long as we are discussing hurling epithets, let’s not forget the propensity of Liberal Democrats to accuse MAGA folks as “Nazi” or “fascist”.
Calling someone a retard (or moron, for that matter) implies a diminished mental capacity and invites the reader to feel sympathy for the target.
Nazi or fascist brands someone to be dangerous and worthy of elimination from civil discourse or worse (witness the treatment of Charlie Kirk for merely engaging others in unpopular rational debate).
I think that this feigned outrage is much ado about nothing.
Calling Walz names is one thing.
But FAILING to investigate Walz for his involvement in the Vance Boelter murders of MN legislators is another.
Boelter was also surveilling sitting senator Klobuchar for future assassination.
Walz wants her seat when he can’t be governor anymore.

I would prefer some INVESTIGATION.

Personally, I wouldn’t use the word “retard” for a politician; out of respect for those with that condition. That being said, Walz has done some very odd things. He tried on a tampon and liked how it felt so kept it on! I’m wondering where he inserted it? 🙄
