The media is relentlessly anti-Trump and has nothing good to say about any member of the administration, but beyond Trump, the member of the administration that they have focused the most fire on has been Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

What’s unique about the campaign against Hegseth is how much ‘buy-in’ it appears to have from some key players who operate within MAGA circles, notably Tucker Carlson and others, backing the cabal of Koch people who have otherwise seized control over much of the DOD and the intelligence community, who view Hegseth as an enemy of their agenda.
These same people conspired to oust NSA Director Mike Waltz and are now trying to prevent him from taking his new position.
This collaboration between the ‘libertarian’ caucus and the media focused on Hegseth’s purge of Koch assets like Dan Caldwell from the Department of Defense for allegedly leaking to the media.
President Trump made it clear that no Koch assets were to serve, despite that a cabal with deep roots in the movement has embedded them across the national defense and security establishment. Some with ties not just to Koch, but to Soros (who are allies and together founded the Quincy Institute to aid our enemies and undermine our national security).
Dan Caldwell, a Koch asset, has become a cause not just for the media, but for the cabal’s allies. Witness this opening paragraph at Politico.
After MAGA heavyweights from Tucker Carlson to Megyn Kelly began interviewing the ousted employees proclaiming their innocence, some White House officials and people close to Vice President JD Vance privately asked for proof of Hegseth’s accusations, according to four people familiar with what happened.
You know that whoever is siding with the media’s campaign against Trump are the bad guys.
The media has nothing good to say about any of Trump’s people. The fact that it’s going to bat for Caldwell and the others makes it all too obvious whose side they’re on. And whose side Tucker, Megyn Kelly and some of the other influencers are on.
And it’s not Trump’s side.
Why are they trying to oust Hegseth? Because he wasn’t supposed to be there. They didn’t plan on him.
Hegseth’s almost Trumpian staying power is rooted in the president’s long-held admiration for him. Down at Mar-a-Lago during the transition last winter, Trump officials had a shortlist of names of potential Defense secretaries for the president. But when Trump scanned through his options, he had a question they didn’t anticipate.
“Where’s Pete?” he asked, according to a senior administration official who worked on the transition, recounting a now joked-about story.
His advisers looked around confused. Pete, who?
“Pete Hegseth,” Trump said, referring to the Fox News star he’d admired over the years. “I want Pete.”
This campaign is about overriding Trump and replacing his pick, the man he was not supposed to choose, witb their ‘man’, a member of the cabal, wedded to foreign interests and anti-American agendas.
Every time you see someone attack Hegseth, you know you’re seeing a member of the cabal in action. A enemy or a traitor.

Actually, with his Israel First policy, Hegseth is the traitor. He’s not to serve Israel or any other nation, but the US. And we’ve seen him and host of zionists in the current administration doing just that.

This time around Trump didn’t fill his cabinet with Washington DC establishmentarians. The indigenous status quo doesn’t like it and are fighting back in anyway that they can. That includes establishment RINOs and neocons who are the most vociferous against Trump and his cabinet members.

Yes, Hegseth is a stand up guy. He led troops from the front. The term ”foreign entanglements” has been misused due to warnings by Washington and Jefferson. The nation was weak then, yet independence had been achieved with foreign entanglements. We need allies and other useful nations for our own national interests. The issue with any policy is wise and honest judgment, which is what Donald Trump was elected to provide.

The way I see it Carlson and his ilk are afraid of China and Russia and fear intimidating them. I agree that America should stay out of foreign entanglements but we should make it clear to our enemies that America is not to be played with and don’t test us. You will not like the consequences if you try.
There can be no foreign policy without “foreign entanglements.” Foreign policy requires choices. For example, preventing Russian and Chinese influence in Greenland requires entangling decisions.

Trump haters are vigorously using every Lilliputian tool to stymie the president’s efforts to restore America. No person in his administration who actually works to implement Trump’s agenda will be left unscathed. No administrative or legislative action to implement his agenda will go unchallenged. Anything to slow his progress will be used to keep the status quo ante in place. There is so much at stake for the haters: grift, acceptance, advancement, generational heritage. Most of all, how can the established political class permit a rank amateur to derail their gravy train? So embarrassing.
What’s interesting is that they hate Trump because the media told them to hate Trump. It’s the result of decades of indoctrination/subliminal programming.
Up until 2016, virtually everyone in America loved Trump until he walked down the escalator and declared he was running for president as a republican candidate, Then the liberal MSM, at the behest of the Marxist academia, did a 180 and turned on the lies about Trump and flooded the airwaves with their lies and changed the internet search algorithms to discourage and steer people away from finding out the truth about Trump before 2016.
The truth was there but you had to know how to search and dig for it. Unfortunately, most people are not internet savvy and rely mostly on liberal news sites for news and info. For example, the Drudge Report was popular at the time. Matt Drudge is a closeted homosexual and a stealth liberal and had been that way since the mid 1990s when his site first gain attention and traction. The Drudge Report pioneered online news.
(FYI: I’ve been using computer networking since 1982 back when it was ARPANET which preceded the internet. It’s how NASA, JPL universities and engineering companies around the country all stayed connected back then. Today’s internet is an expansion of the old X.25 networking protocol.)
That’s cool Rob. You might know what we were using around 1990. It was a nonclassified network between military and university libraries. It was like using dos, but a little different. But you could read all kinds of papers, from any discipline. I learned a lot.
Hegseth is returning the US military to its’ mission and focus on merit, training, performance, and readiness. The US military is unusually topheavy at the moment to begin with, and a lot of time and money have been wasted trying to turn it into a social club and eco cash cow.
The people enriching themselves on it are not happy. Most of the people willing to sign their lives away for their country are. Naturally, nobody has to excuse the recruitment numbers now.
