“There’s a high bar to denaturalization.”
There isn’t really. We mostly choose not to pursue denaturalization. Yes, past Supreme Court decisions have made denaturalization more difficult than it was ever meant to be, but mostly we don’t even try.
Here’s what happens when we do try.
On March 30, Judge James E. Simmons Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California entered an order revoking the naturalized U.S. citizenship of husband and wife Li Chen and Yu Zhou, finding they illegally procured their naturalization. Chen and Zhou each previously pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit theft of trade secrets and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, which the court determined constituted crimes involving moral turpitude that prevented them from having the good moral character necessary to naturalize. The court additionally found that both Chen and Zhou were ineligible to naturalize because they committed unlawful acts that adversely reflected on their moral character for which there were no extenuating circumstances.
“Gaining citizenship after committing serious crimes against the American people is an unacceptable abuse of our immigration system,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “These latest denaturalizations illustrate this Department of Justice’s focus on ensuring that citizenship remains a privilege to obtain, not a right to abuse.”
That’s the important precedent being set here.
The actions of the two spies were not even extraordinary. Sadly a huge chunk of Chinese Communist ‘students’ and ‘researchers’ operating in the United States are doing the exact same things.
Chen, a Chinese national, entered the United States in 2007 on an H-1B Specialty Occupation visa sponsored by Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). In 2011, after U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services approved a Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker as an alien of extraordinary ability, Chen adjusted her immigration status to permanent resident. Zhou, also a Chinese national, entered the United States in 2005 as an exchange visitor. In 2008, Zhou arrived in the United States again on an H-1B Specialty Occupation visa sponsored by NCH, and he adjusted his immigration status to permanent resident in 2011 as the derivative spouse of his wife, Chen. Chen naturalized in 2016, and Zhou naturalized in 2017.
In 2019, both Chen and Zhou were arrested for criminal conduct involving the theft of medical trade secrets used in the course of their employment as NCH research scientists focused on exosome isolation. Each indictment alleged that the couple personally benefitted from their theft and sale of NCH trade secrets by establishing their own company and by acquiring shares in another company that utilized the stolen trade secrets. In addition, both Chen and Zhou received funding from the People’s Republic of China’s State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs. In total, Defendants jointly received nearly $1.5 million in transactions resulting from their exchange of exosome isolation intellectual property.
How many others are eligible for denaturalization under the same grounds? How many spies and terrorists have we briefly locked up and then freed with their citizenship still intact?

Since they generally have family members inside China, who are subject to pressure from the ChiComs, they are subject to pressure themselves.
Trump sset a precedent. The next Obama, Kamala, Biden or whoever the Dems use as their front man will set the opposite precedent. But I am glad that he did. We can at least point out it and say “It can be done.” Liberals will point to it and with a serious face and a maleficent heart will say that they were not given due process (fill in the invented reason here) .
It is pretty bad in China. If you ethnic chinese with relatives back on the Mainland, when you visit or something they could pull ypou aside and ask you to do “x” or something will happen to the careers of mulitple extended family members in the Mainland. I no longer put that past them.
My father said as much in 1995. That is over 3 decades ago and he f*cking saw.
The CCCP is a f*cking ethnic Mafia which will use other Chinese ethnics (Han or otherwise) to do their dirty work as expendable pawns. Marx was right about that part.
On another note this Greenfield guy should be getting MSM news anchor pay. All the storiiees he covers that thgey miss or bury in the back pages with much obfuscation, misdireciton and mendacity.
Daniel Greenfield is a REAL journalist, not a stooge beholden to a political party. He’s the principle reason why FPM is my “must go to” website for political commentary.
In my opinion, Daniel Greenfield is what Tucker Carlson tried to be like but came up short. News Max and OANN needs to hire Daniel as a contributor!
S ucker doesn’t appear to try being a genuine item at all. He is a vengeful grifter without any values.
On the contrary, it seems obvious that “S ucker” does value notoriety. and controversy. I include controversy because he says all the right[?] things that keeps his name in everyone’s thoughts.
Love him, hate him but you can’t ignore him. For him, mission accomplished!!
Next America-hating POS in line . . .
Ilhan Omar, her brother/husband, and every 60 I.Q. Somali who grifted the system.
(Put Tampon Tim in solitary where the Jan 6th patriots were kept.)
Then build trebuchets and load up the rest of ’em with water-winks & a map to Cuba.
(Hey. I can hope, can’t I?)
OK and what else? Spies get the dearth penalty. Like the Reosenbergs.
RIP Pam Bondi. Rot In Perdition. The bitch never did a thing as Attorney General, and the Washington District of Corruption is crawling with creeps and criminals right out in the open.
Bring me the head of Adam Quiff.
Say bye bye to Pammy, troll boy. She’s fucking history.
She was enthralled with the title but unfortunately, the job was just to big and overwhelming for her. She was not incompetent or Trump would’ve never chose her to begin with. She was just put in a position that she didn’t have the chops for.
She would’ve been more successful had she been a ruthless b*tch a la Hillary Clinton.. In DC politics, nice people who want to be liked and to get along with everyone get eaten for breakfast. Pam was just too nice.
I’d like to see Jeanine Pirro as Attorney General. She’ll go on the attack. I used to watch her show on Fox News back before I ditched cable six years ago.
Seriously?
There are those like Lisa Murkowski who earn our contempt, and Pam Bondi who tried but simply fell short.
Save your contempt for actual backstabbing asswipes like Arlen Spector, soft sellouts like Bush43, fools like “kinder more gentler” Bush41, etc.
Pam fell short. Before hand she was (and still is) hardcore material.
(You strike me as a reliable one to have my back in a bar-fight, but get overly excited & bust my jaw in confusion when we won 😲)
This sets a mighty precedent to deport Illegal Alien IIan Omar
Worst of all many like these hold high security clearances in the US defense industry and the worst that often happens is a reprimand.
Not to mention Chinese H-1B’s allowed to work on CONUS military bases and the defense industry, a policy started under Obama and continues today.
Only a few hundred thousand or more to go.
