Is there some reason that Americans can’t drive trucks? But after a series of horrifying truck accidents by illegal aliens, some of whom didn’t even speak English, the Trump administration cracked down and the media is crying.
Some 200,000 immigrant truck drivers will begin to lose their commercial driver’s licenses as they expire under a new Trump administration rule that takes effect Monday.
Really? What kind of immigrants? Since it’s the media, you already know the answer.
The rule bars immigrants who are asylum seekers, refugees or recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, from obtaining commercial driver’s licenses.
Illegal aliens in other words. Illegal migrants who claim to be refugees and illegal aliens who claim to be minors.
Here’s the actual Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rule.
“Only those in lawful immigration status (who provide “evidence of lawful immigration status”
In short, only illegals are actually being excluded. What about that 200,000 figure? It’s closer to 194,000.
The remaining roughly 194,000 current non-domiciled CDL holders will exit the freight market
The media is howling that we’re going to lose 200,000 truck drivers. The madness is that we ever had truck drivers who never even spoke English.

A man accused of causing a deadly crash on Interstate-94 west of Mapleton on Wednesday, March 15, appeared before a judge on Friday afternoon. A Mandarin interpreter helped the judge inform 52-year-old Yuhai Zhu of his rights, of the two felony charges against him, and potential consequences. He is charged with negligent homicide and reckless endangerment. The body of the driver in the other semi, 72-year-old Randall Buxton, was discovered after emergency crews got the fire put out.

The first crash mentioned by USDOT happened in slowed traffic on I-70 near Lakewood, Colorado, on April 25, 2019. Truck driver Rogel Aguilera-Mederos was hauling a load of lumber when he reportedly hit speeds of 85 m.p.h. in an area where trucks are limited to 45 m.p.h and lost control of his brakes before crashing into slowed traffic. The resulting pileup involved 24 passenger vehicles and four semi trucks. Video captured before the crash showed that Aguilera-Mederos bypassed a runaway ramp prior to slamming into slowed traffic, killing four and injuring several others. Cuban-born Aguilera-Mederos spoke to police using a translator, and a translator also assisted him during court appearances, KDVR reports.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), New York-based truck driver Sukhjinder Singh was driving at an unsafe speed when he jackknifed and struck a passenger vehicle driven by 59 year old Pennsylvania resident Kevin C. Lataille. The crash knocked the passenger vehicle into the lake below the bridge, and Lataille was considered a missing person for several days before his vehicle was pulled out of the lake with his body still inside on January 26. While MCSO mentioned that Singh used a translator to speak to police
If you can’t read English, you shouldn’t be driving a vehicle. Yet the same people who want to restrict the right to purchase arms are happy to have someone who can’t read behind the wheel of a semi.

Drivers from some of those countries have very dangerous driving habits.
In the 1990s I once had a Manhattan taxi driver from Afghanistan who, if I remember correctly, had been in the US for 3 months. He got me to my destination, but the ride was a bit of a white knuckle experience–we seemed to miss obstacles by inches, and he drove very fast. Was it skill, luck, or recklessness? I will never know.
Yes, I’ve lived in foreign countries and many of them have no real traffic laws, much less driver responsibility. A lot of the countries I’ve visited are the same. The Turd World ones are the worst, of course.
I see we have a hypocrite here who doesn’t want to get killed in a car collision by a wet-back but wants the rest of us to. Go eat a turd taco, Pedro.
I met an American truck driver in Fallujah in 2007.. I do not recall his debt or plan. I think it wa to retire 10 to 80 thouand in debt or so an build a nest egg. For that he was driving in Iraq for 6 months to a year..
Americans will drive trucks. A former neighbor drove trucks in a 4 state area every ay.. He was home every night. He had a nice 2 story wood frame house with a white picket fence.
For that matter American will do jobs like housekeeping at hotels. My cousin did. My in-law in Europe did. In the 1990s I was shocked, when housekeeping was white in Harrisburg, PA. Why was I shocked? Because of all the damn propaganda that Americans will not so those jobs. Even movies like “A Day without a Mexican”

There’s an Indian restaurant a few miles up the road from us here in north Texas. I went once with my husband and son. The tab for lunch was $72. That’s high for this area. Very odd place. Huge dining room, picnic tables instead of tables and chairs. No table service, foam plates and plastic flatware. $72.00.
The employee was mildly hostile and we were clearly not welcome. I noticed that all of the other customers were turban wearing truck drivers.
A few months after that they were busted for being a station for human trafficking, but oddly enough, the place wasn’t shut down.
Trust your gut.
How many are still on the roads? Who issued the driver’s licenses and who hired these fucks without making sure they can read basic English American road signs? These people should be held liable and criminally negligent.
We still have this menace on the roads. When we’re stuck in gridlock traffic, there is no swerve, no reflexive immediate escape to avoid these out of control semis by the lunatic ignorant drivers who got their semi DL and hired by criminally negligent and perhaps intentionally criminally negligent motor vehicle agencies and truck driving companies.
About 5 years ago, I saw a semi pull over in an area semi trucks don’t normally go.
I knew exactly the road he was looking for and passed.
I pulled up alongside him and after a while was able to convey to him what he needed to do.
He wasn’t from around here.
