Order Jamie Glazov’s new book, ‘United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny, Terror, and Hamas’: HERE.
Donald Trump warned Iran to stop killing protesters, or else the regime would face the wrath of the American military. Iran did not stop, and Trump did nothing except to enter into negotiations with the Islamic Republic. Many Iranians who put their faith in Trump’s threats to the regime have been horrified at his failure to act. But President Trump, the Jerusalem Post says in its editorial here Trump can still redeem himself, “Trump has betrayed the Iranian people, but it’s not too late to topple the regime – editorial,” Jerusalem Post, February 4, 2026:
When Iranian protesters took to the streets last month in the deadliest domestic unrest since the 1979 revolution, they carried handwritten signs addressed to US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
They renamed streets after the American president. They filmed video messages pleading for intervention from Washington and Jerusalem. They believed explicit warnings from Trump against killing demonstrators meant something. But they were wrong.
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi are set to meet in Istanbul in an effort to revive diplomacy over the long-running dispute about Iran’s nuclear program and dispel fears of a new regional war. A regional diplomat said representatives from countries such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt would also participate.
This is the same regime that, according to eyewitness accounts and smuggled messages, committed what one Iranian described as “a crime against humanity” during the crackdown. The same regime that shut down the internet for over three weeks to hide mass arrests and killings….
We now know the full extent of the killing, based on what informants inside Iran have reported. The number of Iranian protesters killed now stands at 36,500, and another 300,000 wounded.
The protesters begged for help because they believed Trump’s warnings. They renamed their streets because they thought American power would protect them, and they were slaughtered anyway. Now, Trump is prepared to sit and deal with this regime.
As it stands, he has betrayed the Iranian people, and they are unlikely to ever forgive him for this. But it’s not too late. President Trump, topple this regime.
Perhaps the Iranians will offer to deliver their 400 kg. stockpile of uranium enriched to a level just below weapons grade to the IAEA, and promise not to restart their nuclear program. But they will never agree to Trump’s other two demands: first, to give up their ballistic missiles, and to stop building new ones; second, to end their support for proxies, including Hezbollah and Hamas. Trump has to reiterate that he will only accept Iran’s agreement to all three of his demands. And when the supreme leader refuses, Trump can do what he previously promised, and use his “massive armada” that has now been assembled, to end the nightmare Iranians have endured for 47 years.

Why has Trump become so soft on the Islamists since returning to office?
This is reminiscent of Eisenhower backstabbing Joseph McCarthy after he promised to assist McCarthy in rooting out communists in government.
Everything, and I mean everything flaming democrats accused McCarthy of doing, they actually did to him.
Paid communist, I. F. Stone was the 1st reporter to viciously attack McCarthy – that is to spread misinformation on behalf of the Soviets.
The Venona decrypts prove Stone was dirty.

“Blackballed by History” by Stanton Evans
“
Yes, I read Evans several years ago. It’s a history no one seems to know.
I happen to think he has handled this wrong. he is playing the game of brinkmanship with forces who cannot be intimidated bringing several global situations to the edge in the hope those involved will step back. It is. not working. He refuses to stand up the city of london and stop the war in ukraine and now this. I don’t know where he got the idea that grandstanding with the actors involved was likely to lead to success. As for persia there is no policy that will work and the muslims in control have manifested their willingness to kill as many as they need to. Only way this works is if the military turns on the regime and clearly they have not. The last time some years back when a popular uprising seemed promising the leaders of the opposition clearly said the one thing they did not want was american involvement. All his actions have done is to give the ayatollahs someone to blame. and the most muslims will support anyone if they believe americans are behind turmoil
And rightly condemned and remembered as a participant in the slaughter!
His smug dismissal of the shah who is beloved by the protesting people is infuriating and egotistical The Reza shah’s name is chanted by the protesters and for some it’s said as they die.. Here’s a man who would agree to all nuclear missile and proxy demands.
Or he could be on the Ayatollah’s side, and blatantly aided the regime in ferreting out the opposition and murdering those who tragically believed his promise.
His actions, rather than words, have never once been anything but beneficial to the Islamic regime, including that rather unconvincing bombing of Fordow which enabled him to suddenly freeze a war the Ayatollahs were losing badly.
The only way Trump is going to do anything that damages the regime, or topples it, is by accident: through some kind of miscalculation that begins with another Fordow-style theater and ends, by getting out of control, with an unforeseen geopolitical chain reaction.
Since the Islamic Revolution in Iran, not a single US president has done anything but actively or passively aid that regime. Trump is no different, except in the unfounded hopes that he still manages to foster in some of his supporters (those that aren’t actually pro-Iran due to hating Israel).
Is this about stopping Iran from ever obtaining the capacity to make nuclear weapons, or regime change?
Both.
I’ve noticed that the flaming woke aren’t hyperventilating about genocide in Iran – something I thought they were so passionate about.
Until I realized that the woke only cares about certain “victims”, only if they’ve 1st murdered over 1,200 innocent civilians.
The ones getting mowed down in Iran are a bit too freedom loving & pro-American for leftists to give a damn about.
That’s not what we were told by Trump. He said no more wars, or regime changes.
What war?
Taking Murdaro out wasn’t a war.
Even if a brief war was required, I’ll take that over the most evil mindset (mullahs) getting a hold of nuclear weapons.
They WOULD use them. (Either detonating them on us or Israel, or at the least, use as leverage/blackmail)
We’ve been hearing Iran is close to nuclear weapons since the 1990’s. Brief war? We voted for no more wars. It’s easy to say you don’t mind a “brief war” if you aren’t sending in your own kids.
Iran isn’t Venezuela. It isn’t in the US interest to get into the regime change business.
Oh a brief war? Clown
It ought to be both.
To the Trump hating idiot tough guys who can’t wait to bash Trump on Iran:
He is sending a second armada. But if that’s not enough for the FPM armchair gen. pussy brigade, sign up, pick up an AR and go topple the regime yourself. And don’t forget, the business end of the rifle points away from your head.
“Trump hating idiot tough guys.”
You got that right Intrepid! Iran is not our fight but given what the regime in Iran is doing and the stated goals of Shariah Islam, we had better step in and kick those sand monkeys asses back to the stone age.
I’d like to ask those “Trump hating idiot tough guys” a simple question: How many millions of people have to die before they think we should get involved? I imagine that if they had their druthers, the Nazis could’ve conquered the entire European continent as well as central and south America and they would’ve stood by and done nothing. The mindset being, “as long as the Nazis don’t threaten America, what they do is none of our business.”
There’s an old saying that all it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to stand by and do nothing. To that I would add: evil men can be destroyed, but nothing can be done when good men become delusional
As much as I admire this platform and the fine authors who publish here, I also get tired of the ankle biting. Consider how long it took Israel to spin up a powerful response to Hamas in Gaza. Now consider that Iran is 90 million plus people, and more than twice the size of Texas. It is also in a politically complicated part of the world where intrigues abound.
There were not sufficient assets in place in late December to do anything beyond a symbolic strike, and the present circumstances call for planning a possible extended campaign.
Trump keeps building assets while trying to demonstrate to the Islamic Republic that they may be better off fleeing the country with what wealth they can steal. It would be better to accomplish this regime change without full scale war. The regime is vicious and capable of killing, and organizing the killing of, huge numbers of innocent people in an all out fight. People who know something about fights and have been in a few, know they are unpredictable. Caution and stealth are warranted.
Has this become the hangout for Bushies?
We should be far more concerned about Mexico and Canada than Iran.
If we are going to fight a war make it for something that will be good for the USA.
The people begging for war with Iran tell me this is not a good idea. Far too strident and unhinged.
I love Israel but our first responsibility as a nation is not to Israel.
The nations of the area should be able to easily take down the regime.
No need to be Napoleon in Moscow.
The nations of the area (except Israel, naturally) prefer a weak, poor Iran under mullahs to strong, democratic and pro-American Iran. Arabs do not want Persians to suddenly become a strong economic competitor, selling its oil without sanctions.
I understand. But our troubles with Canada and Mexico are, unfortunately, also tied to the Middle East. Canada seems intent on replacing themselves and the replacements with greatest fecundity are Muslim. Mexico has a corrupt, compromised government and expansionist Islam will find that useful just as they did Venezuela.
President Trump should definitely not have “talks “ with those despicable murderous lying despots of Iran ,Trump should instead aid the Iranian patriots in their righteous quest to overthrow that horrendous Islamic tyranny and then have a legitimate , genuine , government that respects and ensures the basic human rights of the people of Iran.
Only a fool would “dance with the Devil” Does that mean that President Trump is a fool ?
As it has been said “If you dance with the Devil you’re going to get burned.”.
The most tragic this is that people will definitely will get burned in this “dance ” ae the innocent patriotic Iranians who trusted Trump to the extent that they trusted when he that that he would sent US military force to aid them in their for freedom if the tyranny continued to murder them So that Islamic tyranny did continue to murder them . The Trump didn’t send military aid to the people ,as he said he would but instead made an offer to sit down have talks with those murderous tyrants ,Not about the basic humans rights of the people of iran , but about nuclear weapons . Is President Trump now being a treacherous man to Iranian people ? He is acting as such..
The absurd situation of folly of meeting with and having “talks” with those murderous mullahs and tyrants of the brutal cruel oppressive tyrannical oppressive death -inflecting – Islamic regime of Iran will only result in the treachery of deceit and disaster. As for the disaster part such “talks” will be a disaster for America for Israel and the worst of a a disaster for the Iranian people.
There’s a very old Bible based saying which is “Have no dialogue with the Devil” It’s based on Genesis chapter three in with Eve talks with Satan through the serpent. The result of that dialogue was disaster for Adam and Eve and all of humankind. Likewise, Donald Trump even having any intention of having talks, negotiations, with the Khamenei of any other despot of that Islamic tyranny is the wrong move.
For those Muslim dictators are sons of Satan and that if President Trump has any wisdom at all. He will call off “talks,” For if Trump goes through with such “negotiations” he might fall for the beguiling lying words with would in a bogus “peace agreement” that would be a disaster for America, a disaster for Israel, a disaster for the Iranian people and a disaster for the world.
All those brave courageous and noble Iranian patriots didn’t undergo severe misery suffering and mass murder inflected on the by the desposts of the horrific tyrannical regime of Iran to have Donald Trump turn his back on then and then site down at table with those same murderous tyrants and have “talks”with them about nuclear weapons.
I used to really like admire and respect President Trump.. Now this is no so much the case,,since he’s proving himself to be treacherous to the Iranians who are engaging in their dangerous but righteous and just quest to free themselves from that horrendous Islamic tyranny,, and then establish a legitimate , genuine, government with ensures and respects their basic human rights.
It’s worth noting that a few Israeli analysts are of the opinion that Netanyahu’s recent discussions with Trump have in fact resulted in the US taking a harder line against Iran. Netanyahu, like most Israelis, is skeptical about the possibility of any agreement of any sort being signed with Iran, much less honoured. Rightly so. What Trump will do next is something he is not likely to reveal. But the seemingly indecisive approach on the Iran issue is costing Trump credibility and trust. I think this holds true not just for the people of Iran, but for many Americans who voted for him.
The only acceptable solution is regime change. Hopefully Trump is just stalling for time to bring in another aircraft carrier strike group to ensure that the the job gets done quickly and without Iran striking any other country in the area.
