There was a saying that if you were old enough to fight in a war, you were old enough to vote. The UK has mostly dispensed with that war nonsense, but the voting age will be lowered to 16 to ensure that the Starmer regime and its current Labour government can maximize their turnout.
Which demographic might that be intended to aid?

Much of the Muslim settler population in the UK is military age. 33% of the Muslim settler population is under 15. The purpose of this little gimmick is not only to boost a demographic that leans leftward, because really how many 16-year-olds will bother to vote? But when it comes to boosting turnout for a certain bloc voting demographic, this is exactly how it’s done.
If the voting age had been left at 21 the left would have one very, very few elections in the UK, USA, Australia, and Canada in the last 50 years.
If it went to the age of rational maturity, in other words 25, they wouldn’t have won any.
Profound ignorance in the voters is what the leftists want. I met such a guy today. Very nice guy, but I felt so sorry for him and us. Muslim illiteracy seeping into Western society.

That’s interesting. Before WW1 England and Germany were the most scientifically advanced countries in the world. During WW2 England still had the scientific capacity to build its own bomb, though USA had more capacity. I wonder about UK scientific capacity now.
The left has long favored lowering the voting age, even before the Muslim invasion. Ignorance and inexperience has always served left-wing ideology. Remember the old axiom: “If you are not a liberal at 20, you have no heart; If you are still a liberal at 40, you have no brain”.
How long until the Left and Islam reach their parting of the ways? How long until leftist women realize western feminism is being flushed down the crapper? Will these things even happen? I confess, I don’t even have a clue, anymore.

I I’m reminded of the movie Wild in the Streets, from the 60’s. It’s category is listed as Comedy/Musical, not exactly how I would have put it. In the movie the voting age is lowered a few times 16, 14, 12, as well as min. for holding public office including POTUS.
If I remember correctly, in the final scenes a group of young kids are pushed around by teenagers who have authority over them and ultimately a young boy states, “Never Trust Anyone Over the Age of 9”.
What is next? Fetuses saying, “Do not trust the born?”

That reminds me of a movie I saw once where the inmates were running a lunatics asylum. It seemed surreal to me at the time, but now that is what California politics is like.
This will go down as one of those ‘how could they be so stupid’ moments in world history. Labour’s apparently going to have trouble fooling enough people over 18 to vote for them, but figure they can still fool enough kids to keep them in power, especially since their indigenous population isn’t reproducing. It will both guarantee and hasten the day the UK votes to institute sharia. The left is trying their hardest to suicide Europe

IMHO….you should only be allowed to vote if you are over the age of 21, hold a paying job and are actively paying taxes….I would go further and say that additionally it would be a good thing for ANY VOTER to be a property holding individual….but I don’t want any more libs exploding heads than is necessary……IT GETS MESSY!
