Democrats have to share blame with the Republicans, here. The Southern border has always been porous, especially for Mexicans, and this has been a mixed blessing, especially for farmers and wineries, having access to Mexican migrant workers. Mass migrations from Latin America and South America should have been of concern earlier, and Democrats should have seen Trump Policies striking a cord with many voters and communities.
