Congressmen start acting more deranged as they near retirement. Voluntary or forced retirement.
In Rep. Nadler’s case, it’s pretty definitely a forced retirement. The senility purge had already ousted him from a leadership position and in a New York Dem party where being Jewish and doing anything less than supporting Hamas was seen as a problem, Nadler’s recent anti-Israel tantrums still weren’t good enough.
Now he’s going to be stepping down at the tender young age of 78. You may scoff, but for a longtime incumbent with seniority in Congress, 78 is the new 48, and Nadler probably had another decade in him before he began really melting down or had to be reminded every 5 minutes where he was.
Nadler claims that he’s retiring because he “respects” the need for “generational change” which is to say, he’s retiring before they push him down a staircase and forcibly retire him. The DSA is no doubt salivating over the prospect of replacing Nadler with a new Squad member who will be more openly pro-Oct 7.
Nadler’s District 12 encompasses much of the habitable parts of Manhattan. (New Yorkers will get it.) It’s a district where any Dem with a pulse (or without one) would win by a massive margin as witnessed by Nadler’s previous 80% wins. In the past this was seen as a somewhat Jewish district, but border and demographic changes have changed all that.
We won’t have Nadler to kick around anymore, but as usual the alternative will be worse.
How do you kick around a guy who’s five feet tall and three hundred pounds of fat ass blubber? It would be like kicking a bag of shit. Exactly like that.
Looking back, I wonder what caused his very noticeable weight loss, some years back. He used to be morbidly obese. Really awful. Now he looks like a still sagging person who used to be morbidly obese.

The bloated POS had stomach-reduction surgery in August of 2002. The price of lack of controlling his appetite, is that it left him unable to control his bowel movements. (A common byproduct of abdominal surgery.)

(Since it was the Democrat side of the aisle that had to endure his noxious movements, that may have factored in the DNC decision to force him out.)

Maybe he just took a gigantic “oblama” and let the NY Sewer System TRY to process it! Being obese is NOT a good thing – for anyone! I despise his politics and personal attacks, but wish him no ill. Hopefully his Retirement will be enjoyable and give him time to reflect on his “work”. Oh, but if he’s sane and lucid his “reflections” might not be that enjoyable! It’s too bad the NY Republican Party can’t get Jewish votes with the horrible candidates they run–why not nominate some Orthodox candidates to see what happens? Randy Fine won down here in Florida…
I took part in an effort for an Orthodox candidate back when the district was more expansive. Now the only Orthodox area in Nadler’s district is part of the Upper West Side. Wouldn’t be nearly enough.
Manhattan does not have much of an Orthodox population these days aside from the UWS and LES
Has it always been this way. Was the Orthodox community bigger and left New York or specifically NYC because of the antisemitism, crime and of course cost of living?
I was talking to my older brother a couple weeks ago of the Orthodox community in Los Angeles.
That I do not recall seeing as many if any Hassidic in my youth there and there has been a resurgence of Hassidim walking to Shul on the Shabbat. Men with their sons and women with their daughters all part of the same family.
There seems to be a dichotomy in these times nearing the antichrist d’jour before the return of Christ Messiah Yeshua Jesus, where more people are going to religion or just coming to YHVH through Yeshua Jesus while the tsunami of antisemitism that apparently seethes in gentiles, has become fashionable, vogue and hip post October 7, 2023 genocide slaughter in Israel.
