[Order Josh Hammer’s new book, Israel and Civilization: The Fate of the Jewish Nation and the Destiny of the West: HERE.]
Megyn Kelly wasn’t always a coward. Nor was she always an ignorant stooge for America’s enemies. On the contrary, Grandma Groyper’s descent into pitiable lunacy is a fairly recent phenomenon.
During her long career at Fox News, Kelly made her bones as a no-nonsense, vaguely centrist, mostly nonideological interviewer. Kelly, a lawyer by background, grilled her cable news interview subjects as a prosecutor might hound an expert witness on the stand. Sometimes that made things rather uncomfortable for Fox News, as during her infamous feud with then-presidential candidate Donald Trump. But at least Kelly’s brand was clear: tough, firm, politically “independent.”
Or so it seemed.
Because at NBC News, her next career stint, the ideological chameleon Kelly shifted leftward in accordance with her 30 Rock paymasters. Kelly, whose unpersuasive shtick these days involves cussing like a sailor on SiriusXM and touting her purported badass MAGA bona fides on culture war issues, used her NBC platform to glorify a set of “transgender” teenagers on set. (Kelly has said she’s “evolved” on the issue, but does any Jew or Christian—let alone one who’s been touting her daily rosary of late—really need to “evolve” on the divinely established sexual dimorphism of Genesis 1:27?) She beclowned herself on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show in a fat suit, parading around like a sumo wrestler who lost an embarrassing wager.
Allegedly disliked at the Peacock despite her sycophantic intellectual appeasement, Kelly was fired and relaunched her midlife career as a quinquagenarian podcaster. Consignment to the digital ghetto was not Kelly’s preference. As Dave Rubin—one of many one-time close personal friends Kelly has thoroughly distanced herself from since embarking on her peculiar new journey—recently observed, in a post about the not-so-dynamic duo of Grandma Groyper and the Doha Shill (Tucker Carlson): “This isn’t the place they wanted to be, rather it’s the place they were banished to.” Indeed.
“The Megyn Kelly Show” launched in September 2020, just before the woman who would become Grandma Groyper hit the half-century mark. Quickly, Kelly played to the Trumpian zeitgeist and began tacking rightward. She developed a particularly combative persona on the issue of transgenderism, cosplaying as a vociferous foe despite her earlier on-air celebrations of teenager chemical castration and genital mutilation while chasing high glory at 30 Rock. In those early days following the horrific Simchat Torah Massacre of Oct. 7, 2023, Kelly also seemed—and, in hindsight, pretended—to care deeply about the plight of Israel and the ancient scourge of Jew-hatred.
I know that because she had me on her show to discuss it all—numerous times. On my first appearance, just 10 days after the pogrom, Kelly retained me on the show for an entire hour to, as I put it on X at the time, “discuss everything about the Israel-Hamas war—what the U.S. should and should not be doing, the situation on the ground, the disgusting reactions on American university campuses, and more.” Kelly seemed so genuine. But the joke, it turns out, was on me—and on all of us. Indeed, if she hadn’t made it as a broadcaster, Kelly would have surely excelled as an actress—or perhaps as a poker player. She is certainly a talented gaslighter.
My final appearance on Kelly’s show was in October 2024. By then, her bestie the Doha Shill had already emerged as a formidable Jew-hater and hardened foe of Western civilization, and I sensed Kelly beginning to slowly shift as well. In August 2025, Kelly—who counts the maniacal anti-Israel provocateur (and sexual deviant) Glenn Greenwald as perhaps her most frequent on-air guest—brought on Charlie Kirk for a bizarre interview in which she blasted Israel supporters for not always giving her the benefit of the doubt. The only purpose of such an interview, let alone laundering Kirk to air such petty grievances, could be to grease the skids for a full Carlson-esque flip. (Notably, Kirk’s own thoughts on these matters in the final year of his life have been greatly distorted by purported “friends” like Kelly and Carlson.)
The ideological chameleon was back. Kind of.
Even after Kirk’s horrific assassination, Kelly still did not immediately morph into the full-fledged Grandma Groyper of today. About a week after the assassination, Kelly privately complained to confidantes that Candace Owens—an erstwhile pro-Western ally-turned-unhinged anti-Western lunatic who also targeted yours truly in those terrible first few post-assassination weeks—was acting in appalling fashion by fabricating the most ludicrous and offensive conspiracies imaginable. (Yes, Grandma, I have my sources and I’ve seen the screenshots.) Even as she lied to Ben Shapiro (and America) and feigned ignorance over Owens’ utter madness, Kelly still claimed that “all the evidence [in the Kirk assassination] points directly to Tyler Robinson.”
And then, all the wheels, which had already been wobbling, finally fell off. It happened as it always happens—gradually, and then suddenly, per Hemingway. Accelerating after Kirk’s assassination and then reaching escape velocity over the past month, Kelly has now decided where her loyalties lie.
About a month ago, Kelly hosted on her show Dave Smith, a midwit Greenwald-esque anti-Israel obsessive and “comedian” who has never made anyone laugh and who had his ass handed to him in debates twice last year by yours truly (once moderated by Kirk, in what would prove to be Kirk’s final on-stage event at a Turning Point USA conference). Kelly, whom I had previously not criticized at all other than perhaps a stray critical repost or two, called me a “snake.” Blood drawn, I fired back. Notably, it was around this same time that Kelly started aggressively either distancing herself from or targeting other Jews on the broader right-of-center, such as Rubin, Shapiro, Mark Levin, and Bari Weiss.
But the real kicker came when Grandma joined Qatar’s leading propagandist (congratulations— for now, you’ve been supplanted, Mehdi Hasan!) on his show last week. In her astounding appearance, Kelly offered a staunch defense of Carlson’s late October proverbial fellating of neo-Nazi Stalinist gutter trash Nick Fuentes, the single most prolific enemy of their purported slain mutual “friend,” Kirk. As I noted on X, this was “two people old enough to be Charlie Kirk’s parents, and who continue to call themselves ‘friends’ of Charlie’s, tripping over themselves to sing the praises of Nick Fuentes—Charlie’s lifelong arch-foe.” What’s more: “Shortly before he died, Charlie excoriated [Dinesh D’Souza] for even debating Fuentes—let alone fluffing and sanitizing him. … In his texts to Dinesh, Charlie called Fuentes ‘vermin.’” (D’Souza has publicly released those text messages.)
The shapeshifting Grandma, in a transparently cynical attempt to turn back the clock and make inroads with the “cool kids” amidst possible menopause and/or midlife crisis-induced marital problems (hey, much like Tucker I’m just “asking questions!”), had fawning praise for the Holocaust-denying Fuentes. She called him “very interesting,” “very smart,” “absorbing,” and “brilliant,” among other things. She said that there is “value to be derived from that guy’s messaging.” That would presumably entail such “messaging” highlights as when Fuentes said Hitler was “really f***ing cool,” or perhaps also when he said that “a lot of women want to be raped” or have men “beat the shit out of them.”
Erika Kirk, whom Grandma professes to support and whom Fuentes has called a “spook” and a “plant” (among many other colorful things), was unavailable for comment. As for Grandma—well, like any elderly lady, maybe she forgot her bifocals and missed her daily crazy pill on the day of the recording. Maybe!
Back here in reality, there can sadly no longer be any doubts. Kelly has made her bed. At this point, she has dug a hole for herself sufficiently massive that she will never be able to extricate. She will clearly never, ever distance herself from Owens, an absolute mental patient who routinely peddles 1930s Germany-style Jew-hatred and even implicated Erika Kirk in her own husband’s murder. And even more so than Owens, Kelly’s real ultimate undying loyalty is to Carlson, who has tragically emerged in his own post-Fox News twilight years as the single most dangerous anti-Semite in American history and the single most dangerous man in America today.
Grandma Groyper and the Doha Shill—think Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but for retards.
I mean that quite literally, actually. The brain rot op now metastasizing within what many call the “woke right” (I prefer “retard right”) is actually intended to do just that: rot vulnerable, impressionable minds. Part of the calculation is surely a ploy for market share: Partly sticking a finger in the air in an attempt to gauge prevailing political winds (not that Grandma and the Shill are any good at that anyway), but partly also an admission against interest (maybe Grandma remembers that term from her lawyer days) insofar as it’s a tacit admission that their core audiences are stupid—and that they will therefore only stand to benefit from making everyone stupider.
But who else stands to benefit from the American right becoming, well, retarded? Oh, yes—America’s enemies. You know, places like China, Russia, Iran, Qatar, and so forth—all the places that Tucker Carlson shills for on a daily basis. How convenient! For some Sinophilic, Russophilic, anti-Western civilization fifth columnists, like Carlson, that is the foremost goal of the brain rot op. Allan Bloom wrote The Closing of the American Mind, and the Doha Shill hosts “The Retardation of the American Mind” on a daily basis. Come for the bread and circuses, stay for the large serving of black pills. America’s enemies are certainly eating it all up.
I don’t think that Megyn “Grandma Groyper” Kelly is a dyed-in-the-wool, anti-Western, anti-American, anti-Jewish ideologue, like Tucker Carlson the Doha Shill. I also don’t think that Kelly is a psychopath who should be involuntarily committed into a mental ward, like Owens. What I do think is that Kelly is a genuinely pathetic figure, distraught by the tolls taken by Father Time, likely dealing with serious personal issues (I’m “just asking questions,” as I said!), and desperately trying to make herself seem “relevant” to the youths by putting out the kind of drivel that only a sexually repressed, basement-dwelling incel 20-something loser might find appealing. For someone who made her career as a centrist, and at times veering on liberal, it’s quite a wager that her audience won’t just walk away from her.
It’s a bold strategy. Maybe Grandma Groyper will indeed profit in the short term from this gambit. Maybe she’ll even be able to afford a little more botox and put Father Time back in his place, at least for now. But there’s always that other thing too, isn’t there? There’s the soul.
And therein lies the rub.
In early November, shortly after his on-air performative fellatio of Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson joined Megyn Kelly for a live event in Westchester County, New York. At the event, Carlson, whose seething animus for the Jewish people and the Hebrew Bible leads him toward a heretical Marcionism in his own purported faith, made the staggering and wildly ahistorical claim that the New Testament alone—meaning, not the Hebrew Bible and those pesky Joooooooos—built Western civilization. Kelly didn’t push back at all, and she has only doubled down on her digital jihad against Jews and Israel supporters since then.
Permit this observant Jew, then, to quote to Grandma Groyper a verse from the New Testament (Gospel of Mark): “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

Calling Kelly an “ideological chameleon” is a nicety fit suitable for polite society. I don’t subscribe to polite society and prefer to call her what she is: a paid political prostitute. Saying dumb, stupid and controversial things draws eyeballs to her youtube website which based on the number of viewers (likes and comments) is monetized by advertisers.
Succinctly stated, expressing controversial political opinions translates into profits for her. That renders her a paid political prostitute. QED
This article by Hammer is a hack job. As are many of the comments. I listen to her and she’s always been pro Israel, but not blindly so. While I and those I know have been very supportive of Israel, especially post the October 7 atrocities, there have been situations where Israel was taking advantage of the situation for other goals than revenge. Regardless, articles like this and attacks on her by Shapiro and Weiss are only going to alienate more of Israel’s supporters, making it appear that it’s @bove any and all criticism.
Sounds like bullshit to me.
And Megyn Kelly is 55 but looks ten years younger. A lot of young guys have the hots for her.
Slamming her over and over for her age is lame, Hammer.
I for one, am stunned at the things she has been saying lately. I listened to her daily, liking her no holds barred approach. But then something happened, a switch turned in the middle of the night. And I have to wonder why? She’s smart. How could she have been so wrong about reading the room
Coincidentally (?), this happened when she got her own Sirius channel
Agree…. Almost immediately when she switched channels she changed. I never listen to her anymore and I was a regular Sirius listener.
I’m not. Why? M-o-n-e-y, money. The money is too good for her to not say outrageous and ridiculous to draw eyeballs to her Youtube channel.
Moreover, I don’t think Megan Kelly believes half the dumb and stupid sh*t she says but it stirs up controversy and keeps her name in everyone’s minds and talked about. That’s a revenue generator for her and she’s gotta eat and pay bills just like everyone else. I won’t knock her for that.
Like a broken clock, every now & then, she says something that I can agree with. She’s entitled to her opinion just like everyone else and we’re all entitled to disagree with her. That’s the beauty of living in a free country. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
By the way, leftists think that if you disagree with them or they don’t like what you say or think, you should be silenced and your right to free speech removed.
As to Megan Kelly, does anyone in this forum agrees with the left?
Could you explain what you mean by “reading the room”?
The suspect walks into the interrogation room. He has not yet been arrested. He sees a detective, and the DA, seated at the table, and two uniformed officers standing at each side of the room. On the table are the DNA results linking him to the crime.
His “reading the room” is telling him that he should ask for a lawyer; his alibi is worthless, .
I feel like I saw the very moment the switch flipped. There was a show where she started getting really heated about the fact that she had criticized Israel in a way she felt was fair and justified and that Jews were unfairly turning on her. She said she has been our biggest ally and she seemed unbelievably butthurt. I remember saying to my mom, that’s it. She’s gonna start becoming like Candice owens now. And sure enough she has.
And more’s the pity, because she can still be spot on and funny, as in her recent take on the proverbial and crazy Affluent White Female Liberals. It was a hoot.
I noticed that those who became the “woke right” were suddenly looking left for sources. It is incomprehensible, but they all did it. I read an article on LifeSiteNews and every reference listed under the article was from the left. I saw the same elsewhere and on Infowars, although Alex has since forced them to cool their Israel hatred. When I pointed it out in their comment section and asked that Alex have someone from FPM on as a guest (I saw interviews of David Horowitz by Alex, in the past) so they could get information from a more credible source, they banned me. I am so banned that I can’t even react to one of their stupid little polls. Anyway, they all turned left in unison. I will never know why.
I am a Christian Zionist. I stand with Israel and the Jewish people. This has caused Tucker and Candace to declare me their enemy. I am assuming Megyn will come out against Christian zionists as well since she keeps following those two off the proverbial cliff.
Excellent article Josh. God bless you and keep up the great work, yes I am a Christian Zionist as well, and have already tangled with Carlson’s brother Buckley. I refer to the two as Beevis and Buthead.
Anyone who trusts President Trump, needs to run as far, as fast,as they can away from the destroyers, Kelly, Carlson, Owens, Fuentes, Jones train probably should add Bannon there as well at least from my perspective.
JD Vance needs to run far away from the Carlson family period.
Vance parrots Carlson in speeches, in lefty X posts mainly repeating blood libel lies about Israel, visiting Israel and only mentioning a church and lying about that too, in his obsessive focus on Israel, the only foreign country he wants to “as questions” about and “have a conversation” about.
He cannot run away from himself.
That really worries me.
This is what makes me queasy about Vance
I agree about Vance. Won’t vote if he’s the nominee – hoping for Rubio to get involved.
JD Vance has turned out to be a political opportunist. He never pushes back when young neo-Nazis throw loaded questions at him. Instead, he stupidly says, “We need to have a conversation” about any dumb point they try to bring up. I will never vote for him if he is the Republican choice in 2028. It’s either Rubio or pass for me.
Comments like yours is the reason why the democrats will win in 2028 and beyond and if I may add, the reason why I no longer call myself a conservative.
The republican party is too factious to win another national election. Proof? There are establishment republicans, conservative republicans, MAGA republicans, never-Trump republicans and RINO republicans and all given to internecine fighting and disagreement.
With all those factions, trying to unite the republicans behind a common set of goals and move in the same direction is sort of like trying to herd cats. The outcomes of the 2012 and 2020 elections were examples of how republicans are often their own worst enemies. It’s a problem that the democrat party is not afflicted with.
As for conservatives: take ten issues and if you disagree with them on just one, they want nothing to do with you. I’ve seen that happen too many times of too many years and despite any protests to the contrary, there’s no denying it.
Now I await being attacked for expressing a “politically incorrect” opinion and disallowed from posting anymore comments at FPM.
I agree and particularly think people should be more careful about evaluating Vance. Do we even know what his concerns were? Israel has been trying to get Congress to censor online speech in the US. This has caused an uproar. My point is that it should be okay for someone to be upset over that kind of meddling in our affairs without calling a person a neo-nazi. We need to be more careful. Vance could surprise me as the others have, but I seriously doubt Vance is an antisemite. Trump would not accept that from him.
I would say this pretty much sums up the moral rise and fall of Megyn Kelly. You’re such a good writer, Josh. Thanks for the moral clarity and entertaining telling of the story arc of Megyn’s television career when she was at the top of her game to sad, desperate audience capture podcaster.
Hear, hear! And I always enjoy when I watch YouTube and see you on the Sky News Australia channel.
I disagree that Kelly has changed. She’s all about herself and I think, always has been.
If she was a centrist, it was because she herself was at the center of her world. She leans towards whatever keeps her in the limelight.
I’ll never forget how she treated Donald Trump during that awful “debate”.
A smash up article! That Megyn Kelly is perceived as such a “goddess” in the overrated podcast world says a lot about the collective IQ of her audience. Too bad she has such a large following.
Judaism, Christianity, Marxism, and Islam are the destroyers of Western civilization.
It was the ancient pagan Greeks who created Western civilization. Above all the Greek pagan Aristotle.
“If there is a philosophical Atlas who carries the whole of Western civilization on his shoulders, it is Aristotle. He has been opposed, misinterpreted, misrepresented, and—like an axiom—used by his enemies in the very act of denying him. Whatever intellectual progress men have achieved rests on his achievements.
Aristotle may be regarded as the cultural barometer of Western history. Whenever his influence dominated the scene, it paved the way for one of history’s brilliant eras; whenever it fell, so did mankind. The Aristotelian revival of the thirteenth century brought men to the Renaissance…
Throughout history the influence of Aristotle’s philosophy (particularly of his epistemology) has led in the direction of individual freedom, of man’s liberation from the power of the state . . . Aristotle (via John Locke) was the philosophical father of the Constitution of the United States and thus of capitalism . . . it is Plato and Hegel, not Aristotle, who have been the philosophical ancestors of all totalitarian and welfare states, whether Bismarck’s, Lenin’s or Hitler’s.“ – Ayn Rand
Aristotle was a proponent of slavery. How does that square with individual freedom?
“For Aristotle, the good life is one of personal self-fulfillment. Man should enjoy the values of this world. Using his mind to the fullest, each man should work to achieve his own happiness here on earth. And in the process he should be conscious of his own value. Pride, writes Aristotle—a rational pride in oneself and in one’s moral character—is, when it is earned, the “crown of the virtues.”
A proud man does not negate his own identity. He does not sink selflessly into the community. He is not a promising subject for the Platonic state.
Although Aristotle’s writings do include a polemic against the more extreme features of Plato’s collectivism, Aristotle himself is not a consistent advocate of political individualism. His own politics is a mixture of statist and antistatist elements. But the primary significance of Aristotle, or of any philosopher, does not lie in his politics. It lies in the fundamentals of his system: his metaphysics and epistemology.” – Leonard Peikoff
Actually, Western civilization was created by the Catholic Church.
I have heard a number, of whom I would consider to be “great thinkers’, historians, and observers of our times acknowledge that it is Jerusalem and Athens is the foundation of Western Culture and society.
See, for example, Camille Paglia.
I don’t know about C P…I have heard Steve Bannon credit Jerusalem and Athens.
Aristotle was an obstacle … and the biggest mistake of the medieval Christian era.
In fact, it was Aristotle that was overthrown by Christian scientists.
Only Atheist revisionism claims otherwise … claiming that an ‘Enlightenment’ released ‘Atheism’ …
… to unleash decadence.
Judaism and Christianity are the foundation stones of the West. Our pagan ancestors tried to stifle innovation, the rule of law, and social mobility in the womb.
THX’s kitchen-table philosophy lectures got old some time ago. I’m wondering if anyone is still interested, or for that matter, cares.
This former Jew knows you are correct. Indeed, you should read professor Joseph Campbells magisterial “Occidental mythology”; it’ll improve your understanding and bolster your delivery of the truth.
“Judaism, Christianity, Marxism, and Islam are the destroyers of Western civilization.”
Some people blindly worship Tucker Carlson, feeling it is impossible that a single one of their thoughts can be wrong.
Others similarly blindly worship Ayn Rand – again, their emotional attachment make it impossible for them to consider that a single one of her thoughts can be wrong.
Looking at Ayn Rand’s personal life alone should be enough in itself to make one capable of realizing that what she wrote often didn’t translate into her personal life and the environment she created for her followers.
I have no idea whether Rand ever actually similarly wrote that Judaeo-Christian values were part of the destruction of Western civilization – as this writer claims.
But it’s a remarkably similar refrain as the central tenant from the Atheist rock fairy religion and its adherents.
THX 1138:
I don’t necessarily agree with everything you said however, I get the point you’re trying to make. From that, I gather that you understand that truth and objective facts very often have more enemies than friends.
In my experience, I’ve learned that people tend to reject the truth and objective facts when it clashes with their close-minded perceptions of reality. That is to say, they’re unwilling to entertain facts and ideas that are outside the narrow spectrum of how they perceive the world.
As someone trained in the sciences, I find it difficult and often frustrating to converse with people like that.
Something is big is happening. The democrats are all of a sudden anti Hamas. The people “Just asking questions” about the Jews, may indeed be winning the propaganda war?
This used to be a magazine worth reading. It is a shame that David passed, because he wouldn’t ever have let trash like this be published on his website.
Trash like this isn’t clever, original, or insightful, it’s just insulting to one’s intelligence to read.
And it is sad to see criticism of Israel be characterized as antisemitism, but here we are.
You should now insult me for being old, since I am 61 don’t agree with your sad, unfortunate herein screed.
My assessment exactly. Brilliantly explained.
Megyn Kelly lost me all those years ago with her first obnoxious question to Trump to begin the first debate question. For me, case closed. And then Trump when on to beat Hillary
But you still love Martin Luther one of history’s most vile antisemites.
And an Atheist religious fanatic is the one to tell off a Lutheran?
Thanks Hell is definitely not the one with the moral high ground.
And Intrepid obviously has the intellectual high ground …
Like it or lump it. That is a fact regarding Herr Luther.
Those questions and the manner of their asking came straight out of the feminist playbook. It was a big mistake and detracted from what should have been a better debate upon national policy issues.
George Washinton is turning in his grave. May he clime out of it.
“A passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained, and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation), facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.”
George was a very great man and probably our greatest President. Brilliant, a courageous warrior and General,, a faithful believer, a leader in the movement to abolish slavery, emancipating his own slaves with a pension, and yet, remain humble. We are in grave need of such a man today.
Sadly the piss poor, leftist, misguided state of America’s state run educational system has our nations young people saying things such as I recently saw on a utube video about the great man. When asked what they knew about him all they could say was that he was a slave owner.
Yes, Tucker Carlson is passionately attached to Qatar.
Philly Grandma here. Hi Josh- I agree that Megyn is reaching for the brainless youth flocking to Fuentes and Candace. However- we Grandmas of MAGA or TPUSA or Ben Shapiro’s Fan base feel that the treasured word “Grandma” should not be abused by giving it to Megyn. Please call her Ancient Groyper or Senior Groyper. We regular Grandmas are a sweet, smart and soulful group. Thank you for your attention to this request.
May I suggest Grotesque Groyper?
Grandma here.
Question: Why is Megan Kelly doing this? Answer: Follow the money. It’s no more complicated than that.
While I agree that Megyns loyalty to Tucker and Candace are a fault, Good friends can go bad, I don’t think she’s as far around the bend as proclaimed . I do still watch her show, when its on point I enjoy it, when its Greenwald time I turn it off. just like the news channels I watch. I think Megyn has her faults as we all do, I’m neither a blind loyalist nor a have her lynched for her faults. free thinkers listen and assess what they’re listening to. the main problem is going after her for not bending to your will. don’t like her? don’t listen. but i don’t think I’m ready to grab the pitchfork yet.
Great article, but . . . I’m a little tired of the “Grandma” business, and frankly, any argument that uses the term loses me a little. (They don’t call Tucker “Grandpa,” do they?) Megyn Kelly falls on her own words, lies, and vile opinions. She chose wrong–very wrong–and I believe she’ll regret it one day. But constantly referring to her age and looks, and not, e.g., Tucker’s age and looks, isn’t the best argument.
As they say follow the money. Putting together a large scale podcast requires money a lot of money. We have pretty good idea who’s bankrolling TCN. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same sugar daddy is behind Grandma Groyper’s internet venture.
Excellent essay. Welcome to Frontpage, Josh Hammer.
There are many wonderful Grandmas, but to call Meghan Kelly Grandma, that’s a shot where it most likely hurts her the most: vanity. Hopefully, Grandma becomes her nickname.
As for Carlson, I thought that his embarrassment over being thrown off a major network might have something to do with his subsequent trajectory. For some people, they’ll do anything to appear relevant.
I was calling her Groyper Barbie because she’s still quite attractive and her children aren’t old enough to have children of their own, but maybe I’m too technical nonetheless she is acting like an anti-semite. No people think that that is an overused phrase but I find it ludicrous to think that by pointing out people’s traits that somehow that would make them more so. I believe it has something to do with her Catholic faith. If you look back in history before World War II in the Nazis the Catholics were very quick to throw the Jews under the bus and look the other way. I think it’s the connection that she has with Owens. In fact on one of her shows she mentioned that she had a conversation with Owens and they had connected and I immediately thought that’s what it was because she talks about her Catholic faith a lot. Evangelicals are much more supportive of the judeo-christian ethic and believe that you cannot separate the two with replacement theology. I think she’s going down a dark path and I do believe it is soul erosion. Unfortunately they are unable to see themselves they have themselves so convinced that they’re righteous but it’s actually a self- righteousness is quite obnoxious. I choose to be a Bonhoeffer.
To say I’m disappointed in those I thought were allies would be a gross understatement. Jesus was born and raised by Jews., Joseph was from the house of David. That Jewish megalomaniacs assisted in fulfilling the Messiah’s mission on earth resulting in Roman crucifixion is unquestioned. Mankind has a history of failing God. But Jesus and his message of redemption being skewed by media near-do-wells deserves condemnation. I’ve simply turned them out. That a fine man like Charlie Kirk has become a rallying cry for distorted thanking is unconscionable. Particularly since he’s not here for clarification.
No one ever got less famous attacking Israel and Jews and then claiming that the Jews they are attacking run the world and are trying to silence them,
Kelly lost me when during the california fires, she was mainly engaging in political finger pointing rather than using her podium to get help for the victims. Not everything should be politicized.
Kelly is a grifter. Remember how she made the 2016 presidential debate about herself and showed photos of herself literally jogging and working out. She was a beatch then and is one now only just plain evil.
I am happy to say I cancelled cable in 2015. A waste of money and moreover a waste of my brain and detrimental to my soul!
I never heard of Josh Hammer until today with my daily peak into FPM online.
The only names that I have heard of is Carlson, Kelly and Owens.
I stopped watching Carlson podcasts on YouTube long before his duplicitous nature became public. Carlson is annoying and obnoxious with his constant interrupting of those he is interviewing, never letting them get their voice!
Owens is batshit crazy and a vile antisemite honiac pekkerhead, though she started out seemingly MAGA. Fooled us all. The subject of this article, Megan Kelly, is attractive and MAGA, so I thought, But there was always something in my soul that was uncomfortable watching her. And now I know. Another vile duplicitous honaic pekkerhead.
The moral of this comment is: Our intuition is our best friend, When our intuition connects to G-D’S Holy Spirit, and we get used to following our unction, the results are clear and awesome and we build confidence for every split second to long range goal decisions we must make!
Not being so hip and glad I am not on the media mavens from main stream media to online podcasts, I looked up what Grandma Groyper means.
The nickname “Grandma Groyper” was coined by media personality Dave Rubin.
Rubin used the derogatory term to refer to journalist and media host Megyn Kelly in a post on X . Other conservative commentators, including Mark Levin, have since used the nickname as well. The term was used in criticism of Kelly after she made comments praising the intelligence of far-right, white nationalist activist Nick Fuentes and suggested people should “excuse his thoughts on race, and Jews, and the Holocaust”.
The “Groyper” part of the nickname refers to the far-right, white nationalist “Groyper movement,” a group of activists and followers of Nick Fuentes who use a cartoon frog meme variant as their symbol.
If you smear Megyn Kelly as a Groyper, doesn’t that make you an Israeli firster? Are you trying to divide MAGA? Do you support the old GOPe who want to take back the republican party? There’s nothing wrong about opposing endless wars or supporting America first.
There is nothing wrong with being America first but what has happened is that there’s a faction within MAGA that has morphed the name from America First into America only and then basically smearing people as Israel first if they don’t agree with them. Tucker Carlson Nick Fuentes Marjorie Taylor green Bannon Dave Smith and many others that have been mentioned here in these comments think they are fooling people but they’re not Most MAGA or classic GOP didn’t change it was the anti-israel anti Jew faction that started changing things. Isn’t it ironic how people can project their own actions or thought processes on to others? Is a classic maneuver of the left and that is why it is now considered woke right just like the woke left to do so.
“If you smear Megyn Kelly as a Groyper, doesn’t that make you an Israeli firster?”
If you attempt to build a Democrat-style strawman by insinuating that, if you support America ensuring that Israel is well prepared to survive (and benefit us while doing so), then that means that your primary allegiance is to Israel and not to the USA…
… does that mean you’re incapable of either framing an honest rebuttal or articulating a position.?
In this case, on Kelly’s show, Carlson specifically and pointedly said that Israel was targeting and killing the Arab children in Gaza. That isn’t “just askin’ questions”: that is a flat out lie.
Kelly (in my mind at least) destroyed her credibility as an independent journalist by giving that anti-Semitic lie a pass. Both times he said it on her show.
To play Kenny’s Strawman Game… does that make Megyn Kelly, Carlson and you Hamas Firsters?
While skimming and skipping through the article this limerick came to me:
Rub a dub dub
Three podcasters in a tub
Carlson, Owens, Kelly
Set out to sea
Pandering to the first MAGA rescue vessel
They see!
You Massively Online Electronic Boys (MOEB…see, I made up my own non-existent term) have to stop with all your non-existant language. Few people know what you’re talking about with the supposedly-pejorative words like “groyper.” And most people don’t care.
It’s a term Fuentes’ followers made up for themselves – it wasn’t created by this writer or anybody else.
It became a pejorative with those who read/heard what Fuentes was saying and saw a racist neo-Nazi doing performance art for his followers.
And his followers still use that word to describe themselves – they don’t see it as a pejorative at all.
Would you like to attempt some additional inarticulate and confusing messaging beyond that?
Or perhaps you’d prefer to spend your time, instead of deflecting and distracting, to instead write something focused on defending The Message Of Fuentes/Carlson/Kelly et al?
There is a great deal of heat and name-calling in this article, but not much light.
The provided hotlink at “bizarre interview” is not bizarre. Kelly expresses frustration, obviously shared by Charlie Kirk, that “some in the pro-Israel camp are so knee-jerk about calling you [Charlie Kirk] anti-semitic or getting deeply offended if you [Kirk] say ANYTHING that doesn’t align with their narrative that it undermines their own cause” (see “bizarre interview” hotlink beginning at 00:50). The term “anti-semitism” is beginning to lose its power just like “racist.” I have been called an anti-semite in this forum for being unwilling to allow my sons to die for Israel.
This interview was done at a time when the effectiveness of pro-Israel propaganda began to collapse in conservative republican circles and had already bottomed out with liberal democrats. Even Charlie Kirk was beginning to believe he had “no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause” according to two replies to Mr. Hammer’s hotlink provided in this article at “noted on X.” Now our government has allowed Israel, as a foreign government, to geofence hundreds of Christian churches to give conservative Christians, whose support for Israel is beginning to waver, pro-Israel propaganda.
Look at the comment given here by james wilson quoting George Washington. George Washington would be hated as an antisemite if those words were spoken today. Washington was America first and America only. All Americans should be the same without apology. All our alliances should have this as their purpose – ultimately to advance and benefit American interests. We should be allowed to have that debate with regard to Israel.
” I have been called an anti-semite in this forum for being unwilling to allow my sons to die for Israel.”
Lots of defensive friction in those claims and comments – but not much like.
Ah yes… We’re going to have American boots on the ground (are your sons actually in US military uniforms to begin with?), fighting and dying in defense of Israel!!
And which enemy will they be fighting that doesn’t have a history of howling “Death To America” – as well as “Death To The Little Satan”.
Yes, your sons whatever their trade in whatever branch of US military service, will be doing that right after WW 3 starts – as was predicted when we in coordination with Israel destroyed The Mad Mullah’s nuclear weapons facility.
Well…. that was over seven months ago, and the hysterics making that claim won’t even pop up to say “you wait, just a few more months” – much less admit they were wrong.
Our governments in the USA have many times over the years used Israel to project US interests and policy in the Middle East – often doing so in hopes that Israel dealing with our enemies like Iran will make it possible for your sons’ boots not having to be on the ground to do it for us personally.
Israel isn’t perfect and we certainly aren’t either.
Comments like yours may or may not be anti-Semitic, but they’re fearmongering combined with willful tunnel blindness towards our relationship towards Israel.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, two of my sons are active duty military. I do not see that I am fear mongering, but no matter. My complaint consists largely in the fact that this article has nothing of real substance or engagement with the ideas of the people with whom Mr. Hammer disagrees, but is rather a kind of puerile name-calling. I was born in the 1950’s and my education was steeped in the post-war consensus which I now reject.
I began to re-educate myself about one year ago and this process is on-going. When I see an article like this one, I bristle because it does not educate or engage, but belittles and ridicules those who do not tow the line on the Jew / Israel part of the post-war consensus. And when someone does that, my first thought is the old joke about when a lawyer does not have the facts (a.k.a. the truth), then he pounds the table. This article is a table pounder.
Grandma Groyper not bad.
How about Megyn, She-wolf of the SS
Josh–
Excellent piece. Kelly has always just followed trends. She was anti-Trump, until she became pro-Trump. She was anti-Trans, until she became pro-Trans, etc etc. She recently jumped on the “question Israel” bandwagon. What’s more, in accordance with the observable phenomenon that seems to occur with shrill female commentators, she has also lost her looks. cf. Sunny Hostin.
As to Tucker Carlson, if the effeminate giggly posture weren’t enough to turn you off, then it would have to be the annoying frat boy demeanor Finally, Charlie Kirk did not help his brand by embracing gay “conservatives.”.,
An excellent expression of a frustrating descent of the faux Right into “woke” territory.
I’m sure this has nothing whatsoever to do with Mark Levin, right Josh “Manhaddin” Hammer?
Count me a.ong the so many former listeners of Megyn and Tucker. And disappointed in both who turned to radical bigotry amd rusted ideology. By now, both are 100% garbage
Great article. Glenn Greenwald has so much hatred and cynicism of Israel that he could give Noam Chomsky a run for his money. The fact that Megyn keeps putting him on the air is a tell that she’s happy to show the world that she, like Qatarlson, is just having people ask questions. The company she keeps says everything about who she is: an attention seeking influencer who has no principles. Shame that Batya Ungar Sargon can’t call her out. This is the weakness of her followers – blind loyalty to someone who would never been loyal to them.
You nailed it, Josh. Kelly has no moral compass, to put it mildly. But, in the long run, all things come out in the wash. Neither of these brazen antisemites will prosper. Kelly or Qatalson.
MAGA is splitting in so many areas. The idea of a President AOC in 2029 is no longer a joke. The Democrats are united. Humans are toast.
Watching her descend into toddler-level argumentation is wild. “The more you tell me to, the more I’ll never do it!” She’s traded critical thinking for cursed-filled rants aimed at former friends and listeners. It’s so craven and bizarre you have to wonder how her personal life is faring. I honestly feel bad for her husband, who seems calm, friendly and totally reasonable on his podcast. She’s a shell of her former self.
That’s an easy one. She was always a leftist.
Thank you Josh! Brilliant article, Megyn Kelly fully exposed!
Kelly probably always was an anti-semite. How can someone not be and then turn around like this? Is it really just personal issues, or money? How the heck could she not have enough money? I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s blaming Jooos for getting old? Some of these woke-right low-lives just tricked us in the past is all. We were had. Better to just accept that we sometimes made mistakes in character judgment and recognize these monsters for who they are and probably have always been on some fundamental level, some level which began at that point in their lives when, like everyone must upon leaving innocence, they made their choice whether to turn towards good or evil. They chose evil. A person doesn’t suddenly become evil because they are upset about their career or about aging. That just triggers a reveal when the mask comes off for all to see them in their hideousness.
There was a time when she could have had her way with me but then she changed – and not for more desirable! That said, she could still have her way with me but not use her mouth to talk! She’s not doing women any favors by being so vulgar – it’s not necessary!
Kelly and many associated with her should be an object lesson in hero worship and populism.
Followers/supporters are won over and willingly surrender any attempts to question anything that person says or does to put ideas and their analysis in front of them.
There’s Carlson – and Kelly and his followers can’t bring themselves to even question flat out statements he makes that are lies, not “just askin’ questions” opinions.
Example, his claim that Israel is deliberately targeting and killing the Arab children of Gaza while fighting a war in a built up area similar to our battles fought in Fallujah.
You shouldn’t have to be one of those of us who DID fight in urban warfare to realize that Israel’s willingness to restrain military might, while warning of upcoming targets, means voluntarily accepting deaths within their military of soldiers who would not have been killed if they had not done so. Never mind the escape of terrorists who received those warnings beforehand.
Then there’s Glen Greenwald whose campaign against government spying gained him great popularity. Greenwald repeatedly says as though it’s an established fact that not a single foreign intelligence source was exposed and killed/imprisoned due to Julian Assange and his Wikileaks.
We’re supposed to believe Assange and his crew (and Snowden as well) scanned every single one of the MILLIONS of documents they leaked to redact them before release.
And of course, every one of them is an intelligence expert that knows how, and how to avoid, computers can identify individuals by connecting the dots across hundreds and thousands of documents! Therefore, they ensured they did redactions based on their expertise that avoided that!
I won’t pretend to understand her motives, other than the fact she is loathe to truly call out anyone she has identified on her shows as a friend. Carlson, Greenwald, Owens, whoever…
When you abandon all healthy skepticism and review to blindly follow somebody whose populist messaging matches your own concerns, what we’re seeing with Kelly now is true with so many others.
FFS, Hammer, what happened between you and Kelly? Why all the attacks on her as a woman? She’s old. She’s ravaged by time. She’s a grandma. Did she turn you down for sex or something? You sound bitter as hell. And I’m not saying this because I support her. I dropped Carlson, Owens and Kelly when I saw what they had become.
Awesome piece Josh – and so eloquently stated!!
Wish Fox would replace Will Cain with you!
simple explanation for the doublespeak of owens , carlson and kelly . its called a reprobate mind . it is a judicial judgement from the GOD of the bible . no need to thank me , youre welcome .
