Rep. Eric Swalwell is the leading Democrat in the California gubernatorial race despite the fact that he probably doesn’t live in California, and had an apparent affair with a Chinese spy and, but at least he isn’t Rep. Katie Porter, Tom Steyer or Xi Jinping. There are still all sorts of questions about Swalwell. Like where does he live, is he a Chinese spy and why did he spend $300,000 on lawyers?
Eric Swalwell, the Bay Area congressman and candidate for California governor, spent more than $300,000 in campaign funds on private attorneys who specialize in white-collar criminal defense and employment law.
Between 2016 and 2023, Swalwell’s congressional campaign made 44 payments to Bay Area-based law firm Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLC totaling $305,118. According to federal campaign finance records, the payments range between $250 up to $35,623. KCRA 3 was the first to report the payments on Tuesday.
In a statement to KCRA 3, a spokesman for Swalwell’s campaign said the payments were for legal guidance amid President Donald Trump’s “retaliatory investigations” into the congressman “that have put his family and staff at risk.”
President Trump was in office for four of the seven years’ worth of payments.
When asked for a specific example of the retaliatory investigations, the campaign pointed to 2018 when Trump’s Department of Justice reportedly secretly obtained Swalwell’s private records. Also, during the payment time period, the House Ethics Committee in 2021 launched an investigation into Swalwell’s interactions with Christine Fang, a suspected Chinese spy. The committee dropped the investigation in 2023.
Probably nothing to worry about. And we shouldn’t ask any more questions about Swalwell’s relationship with Chinese spies. Or where he lives. And if he lives with Chinese spies. So long as he lives in the parts of California not currently owned by China.

personally i think ever reporter who talks to him should him is fan fan is okay and has he heard from her recentlyi
Are we ready for Fang Fang as First Lady ?
I’d bang Fang Fang. 😛
Fang Fang. made bang bang with Swalwell’s wang wang.
Did he have to pay her to return the evidence if their liaison?
She didn’t do a guy that ugly for free, that’s for sure.
mi heffy Jeffy, you remind me of what I head about Marlon Brando – someone said he’d schtoop a mailbox
I found this to be true one Brando oogled me in the 1990s when I happened to be at the Santa Monica courthouse for a beach parking permit, because I lived where beach parking was the only parking.
That happened to be the day Brando’s son was lead away in handcuffs to prison for killing his sister’s boyfriend who was beating on his sister.
It was bizarre, Brando’s son is being led away in cuffs to a 6 year prison sentence and Brando is lusting after me.
Well, if I saw me now as I was then, I’d get turned on too.
I had no idea Brando swung that way. Fucking Hollywood, man.
That’s fine with me…as long as you’re not on the House Intelligence Committee with a Top Secret security clearance giving you access to our most dangerous, highly classified Secrets.
From the photos I saw of her, Poon-Tang did look quite attractive; and I’m sure that her interest in “dating” him was entirely due to his impressive prowess in bed and had nothing to do with his membership on that most-sensitive Committee. [SARC OFF]
Part of me wants to believe that the only reason no one has sought to have him disqualified for residency is that they want to wait until he is the demo candidate. The other part of me believes that the opposition to him is too stupid to act.
People have asked that he be disqualified, but as is usual, a judge threw the complaint out. It is pending appeal.
If this Swallowell fellow gets on the California ballot for governor – then all our assumptions about California are true.
Dude always looks like he’s coming off a three day bender and sounds like he quit his meds a month ago.
Scruffy just keeps on being a scummy individual! How can he qualify for the election when he’s not even a RESIDENT of CA? Oh yeah – DEMOcrat – the “rules are not really rules rules”!!
With Swalwell spending over $300k on white-collar defense while sitting on influential committees, it makes me wonder about the broader lack of oversight regarding how these politicians vet their international financial ties or industry endorsements. For those familiar with high-level regulatory compliance, do you think the vetting standards for someone like Swalwell are as rigorous as the licensing audits we see for major international operators, like the 2026 Coljuegos standards mentioned at https://guiadebetplaycolumbia.com, or is the political class effectively operating under a different set of rules when it comes to financial transparency?
