Freedom Center founder David Horowitz recently made an appearance on the Counter Culture Mom podcast to discuss why he left the Left, the crucial role Judeo-Christian Americans have played in preserving our freedoms, and the illegal and unconstitutional attacks on American liberty by the Biden administration, as well as the rampant fascism that has taken over our institutions.
Don’t miss this important discussion below:
Christianity prepared the ground for modern totalitarianism. Christianity does not lead to individual freedom, liberty, or capitalism. Christianity leads to theocracy, a form of tyranny.
The fundamental moral code of Christianity is altruism and self-sacrifice for God and neighbor. What would Jesus do? Jesus would be for open borders and spreading the wealth.
The philosophically consistent Christians are the Christians on the Left. And as you can confirm if you do just a little searching the Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Quaker, and other American Christian churches are now engaged in facilitating the illegal alien invasion and destruction of America receiving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars from the Biden administration to house, clothe, feed, and support the illegals, all in the name of Christian altruism. You are your brother’s keeper. The meek shall inherit the earth, etc.
It is the philosophically consistent Christians, just like it’s the philosophically consistent Muslims, that ultimately matter, who will win the religious battle over the inconsistent believers.
THX, the least you could do is give Lenny Peikoff credit for that absurd comment about Christianity preparing the ground for modern totalitarianism. It was wrong when he wrote it and it is still wrong when you steal it.
Looks like your repertoire of Quotes and Sayings of Co-Chairmans Rand and Peikoff is getting thin.
But hey you are on a roll and on the road to nowhere the last couple of days. I wonder is your health failing?
Also, in Friedrich Hayek’s book “The Fatal Conceit: The Errors of Socialism” he has a chapter toward the end where he defends religious belief as a bulwark against socialism. And – like Horowitz – Hayek was himself an agnostic.
As I’m fairly certain you’re aware, Jesus was not the secular Messiah long anticipated by the Jews. He was the son of God. He came to the world not to free Israel from Roman occupation, but to free our immortal souls from the bondage of sin. This essential distinction has always been lost–or intentionally distorted–by leftists and their atheistic, Randian enablers. Meaning no disrespect to you, I suspect it was the ego-driven hatred of your demi-god, Ayn Rand, for Whittaker Chambers which blinded her–and continues to blind her followers–to the essential truth of his observation that “Christ without the Crucifixion is liberalism.” It is this blindness which binds Rand’s disciples (such as yourself?) with Marxists intent upon excising traditional marriage, the nuclear family and Judeo-Christian religion from Western civilization (fka Christendom) in furtherance of their goal of replacing it with a Godless, joyless, Orwellian wasteland.
If you are going to take 24 hours to approve a comment then whats the point ?
LOL! You can say that again. They deny that they censor too but I’ve had respectful, intellectual, philosophical but critical comments not accepted. Particularly comments critical of Judeo-Christianity on articles by David Horowitz.
But hey, this website is not my property, and I believe in private property rights, the owners have the right to accept or reject any comment for any reason, including irrational reasons.
But without freedom of discussion and argument how can people arrive at the objective truth on any issue?
Poor wittle THX, his comments get moderated, like everyone else. Face it, you are nothing special. So get in line.
What you are really saying is “how can people arrive at “my objective truth” if I’m censored”. What you are really saying is “a day without my Objectivist wisdom is like a day without sunshine.”
Somehow we will all survive without you.
You are terrible at propaganda. “respectful, intellectual, philosophical but critical comments”? Really?
Nothing your write is “respectful, intellectual, philosophical”. you are the polar opposite of all of that. Your comments are insulting, childish, ego massaging and self-indulgent.
Would that some of your comments were tossed. We would be saved at least a little aggravation.
Go fishing while waiting.
“The roots of America’s welfare state lie in the Populist-Progressive Era of the late 19th century and early 20th century, especially with the Protestant social gospel movement, which held that Christian ethics and “social justice” should drive public policy, including wealth redistribution, trust-busting, graduated tax rates to punish the rich, cradle-to-grave handouts, and missionary-style imperialistic ventures abroad to spread the faith and make the world “safe for democracy.” The concept of social justice, which jettisoned the idea that we actually earn and deserve what we get in life, was first adopted by the Jesuit Luigi Taparelli in the 1840s, as drawn from the work of St. Thomas Aquinas.” – Richard M. Oh God, please, not more homework from our Objectivist taskmaster.
Tell you what T….go back in time and tell those long gone Progressives when progressivism really is. And leave us alone for a day or two.
Heresy is not just errant theology. It’s also what happens when one feature of the Gospels is grossly overemphasized. Yes, it can be argued that the social gospelers placed much emphasis on “altruistic” endeavors, but it’s dead as a doornail. It’s been dead since the 70’s.
Protestant Christians are now turning to a very different interpretation of the New Testament. It has to do with a new and solidly based view of the Pauline Letters and the primitive church. Moreover, there are recent scientific discoveries that may radically change our entire worldview. Someone needs to catch up.
Any idiot can make false assertions but it takes a special kind of idiot to arrogantly make such ,false assertions without even trying to provide proof. You wear your dunce cap well.
Christianity was not and is not a political religion. You intentionally ignore that well documented fact. Jesus had no worldly political aspirations and never once exhorted his followers to do anything political. Your lie that Christians are choosing certain political parties to create a theocracy is refuted by the fact that Christians have never been 100% behind any party.
“The philosophically consistent Christians are the Christians on the Left”. Jesus warned Christians that you can’t serve two masters. Nothing is more of a malignant master than leftism.
Christian churches serving the left no longer serve God. Marx admitted to serving Satan. Your pathetic attempt to smear true Christians failed spectacularly, A circumstance you are no doubt monotonously familiar with. Nice try, Wile E.
You are WRONG.

If you don’t have time to read the book, just look for a discussion of the book online in a CSPAN interview Stanton did years ago. It shouldn’t be hard to find.
