Interesting. Let’s even for the moment assume that those numbers are accurate. What was the cost of the border crisis?
The House Budget Committee estimated the cost of the crisis at $150 billion. Others put it at $200 billion or even higher.
$330 million would be around 0.2% of $150 billion.
Some estimates set the annual cost of illegal migration at $150 billion as well.
To put that $330 million into context, under Biden, DHS allocated $380 million for migrant-infested areas through FEMA in August 2024.
We’re spending a fraction on an ounce of prevention here to secure the border.
The media hypes the cost of securing border, but refuses to discuss the cost of open borders.
Cost of securing the border is mainly due to obstruction by the Democrats.
“Trump Secured Border for Only 0.2% of the Cost of the Border Crisis.” Here’s my 4 ways to keep the border secure…permanently. 1) Congress pass legislation imposing a 20% fee on all electronic transfers of money out of the US. All legal & illegal aliens would be covered. Equal justice for all. 2) The wall would be paid for in less than 2 years by such fees. 3) Congress pass legislation mandating that all employers (government, commercial & private) process all hires thru E-Verify with fines and imprisonment for failure to comply. 4) As with Area 51 where deadly force can be used against American citizens for trespassing, impose the same penalty on the Mexican border and Canadian border on people entering the US illegally. Exceptions: people under the age of 18. If you cross you die. If you damage, climb over, or tunnel under the wall you die. Only 10 or 15 invaders would be killed before there would be a permanent boycott on invading America. Cheap solution too.

I do hope I live another 20 years and ALL of those are under TRUMP/VANCE/DeSANTIS or RUBIO in the White House and MAGA SUPER Majorities in the HOUSE and SENATE! When Our Nation is returned to SANITY with the ILLEGALS become LEGAL (in their HOME NATIONS) and we purge the leftists from our judiciary and State offices, maybe we can get back to being AMERICANS FIRST! I’d like for my children, Grand children, and others to live in a safe, prosperous, PEACEFUL USA! The World needs to find another “baby daddy” – we need to spend OUR money at HOME! The World also needs to remember that we are a peaceful Nation so that old “Don’t start none – won’t be none” will be the mantra!! We shouldn’t go looking for a fight, but not run from one either!
The left must distort the truth for without such blatant misrepresentations, their words are useless in the face of factual information!

The cost with POTUS 47 Trump compared to potus 46 autopen – compared to loss of human life with illegal aliens raping and murdering young women, there is not cost great enough that nations should not protect their citizens!

I’ve had this argument with many Leftists.
Over and over again for decades.
They don’t understand numbers any more than they understand biology.
That’s why they like headlines with $999 million dollars v. $1 billion.
Or vice versa as the need for propaganda arises.
