The Associated Press complains that President Trump is calling their political allies “Communists”.
For years, President Donald Trump blamed “communists” for his legal and political troubles. Now, the second Trump administration is deploying that same historically loaded label to cast his opponents — from judges to educators — as threats to American identity, culture and values.
In 2025, communism wields big influence in countries such as China, Vietnam, North Korea and Cuba. But not the United States.
“The core of communism is the belief that governments can do better than markets in providing goods and services. There are very, very few people in the West who seriously believe that,” said Raymond Robertson of the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government & Public Service. “Unless they are arguing that the government should run U.S. Steel and Tesla, they are simply not communists.”
Very few people believe “governments can do better than markets in providing goods and services”?
That’s literally the mission statement of the current Democratic Party. Why else is it arguing in favor of universal health care and has created countless government agencies to control markets?
The Dems are currently being driven by the DSA’s socialist movement whose candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders, is a socialist who argued that people didn’t really need 20 brands of deodorant.
And that’s in America. The West is even worse.
36% of Americans rate socialism positively. In the 18-24 category, nearly half want to see socialism in America. So much for the “very, very few people”.
And I rather suspect much of the AP, which is currently lying about the matter, would agree.
“believe” maybe, because they are delusional. I would say most people don’t have the critical thinking ability to even understand the issue. They are stuck in a delusional “believing” state based on what they heard from MSM and such.
American’s don’t need 20 brands of deodorant? So, just one brand, huh?
Isn’t having only one choice called a monopoly? Oh well, at least the quality will stink.
Hey AOC: What’s with the dowdy mom-jeans. You look like you are putting on weight. And they look like sh*t on you.
Every young college graduate and not a few older ones say “ capitalism has failed!” ( so what’s the alternative if not communism?) and “They just haven’t done socialism correctly yet. We must try it again” ( a stupid argument on the face of it) .
If I heard these statements once, I’ve heard them one thousand times, maybe more.
Ridiculous to assert people don’t want communism when they say they do.
Almost every single faculty member on every campus believes communism is superior and that is what every single college graduate has been taught. I’ve had this conversation with dozens of them and they all end up saying the same thing “communism is better it just hasn’t been implemented correctly”. Probe a little deeper and you find they are people who have zero knowledge and no working brain cells.
I know, I keep saying this but what would you call a system that controls all commerce, industry, agriculture, arts and entertainment, social media, mainstream media, science, labor unions, religion and owns all the real estate? And all this authority is wielded by a handful of people at the top. This is an absolute monopolism, or the worst of all economic systems. Of course it’s totalitarian. What else would it be but that?
It is brutal and in spite of its denials, it does not care for the proletariat. It also doesn’t care about justice. It can punish you on a whim. There would be no dictatorship of the Proletariat because the ruling communist class would never surrender power to the masses. Their scam is meant to keep the truth and keep the power away from the masses.
And even further, the leaders of the Marxist state get to control whatever you do in life, from education to employment and even where you get to live. Does that sound idyllic at all? Of course not. I used to be a Marxist and believe me, I’m not lying. at all.
