In my tribute to David Horowitz, I wrote that, “in the weeks before David Horowitz’s passing, he wrote an article and finished another book. In and out of the hospital, he would call me on the phone to relay another idea for a series or another article about the Left. ”

Glancing at my voicemail, more than half of the messages are from David. In and out of hospitals, he would call with a thought, an idea for an article, a message that we needed to hammer home.

When David stopped doing personal appearances and interviews, he seemed to vanish from the scene. His output of articles seemed to diminish, but he kept on working. His last article appeared earlier this month, he had finished a new book and many of the articles by other writers, including mine, that appeared on Front Page Magazine, were really proposed by David.

David Horowitz refused to have his name on articles unless he felt he had contributed enough to them, but you have seen more of his writing and will go on seeing it even if doesn’t have his name on it.

One of those, an article he initially proposed that was to be titled Fifth Column, that he then retitled, ‘The Enemy We Face’ will be published later this week. The article was David’s idea. We worked on it on and off as his health allowed. Eventually I suggested pausing until he felt better. David won’t finish working on that particular article, but it’s part of his message and it carries his voice forward.

David’s work is all over the site even when his name isn’t on it.
