Your weekly reminder that Hollywood is imploding under the weight of its massive irrelevance: in the wake of the joint Israeli-American bombing campaign that buried – literally – Iran’s nuclear weapon hopes, an outraged John Cusack shrieked impotently into the void last Friday, tweeting that Iran will and should get a nuclear weapon to deter our imperialist aggression in the Middle East.

“Iran will surely rush to get a nuclear weapon – and they should get one,” the washed-up actor sputtered, declaring that “it’s the only way to deter US and Israel from bombing every country in Middle East.”

Cusack, like all good progressives, has been a longstanding, illiterate social media critic of what he calls “Isreal [sic],” which he deems a “genocidal regeme [sic].” It’s unclear why he believes America and Israel would want to bomb “every country” in the Middle East, just as it’s unclear why he thinks it is a positive step toward peace and stability in the Middle East for the genocidal regime of Islamic fanatics, who lead daily chants of “Death to America,” to have nuclear weapons. But then, one doesn’t turn to Hollywood for thoughtful political analysis.

As much an expert in economics as he is in geopolitics, Cusack also predictably gushes over Muslim Communist Zohran Mamdani, a limousine Bolshevik who is the Democrat frontrunner for mayor of New York City. He praised Mamdani as a “f— you to billionaires, dem [sic] establishment, and the genocide in Gaza – the bombing of Iran.”

You can see why Cusack earned a place among my list of the 20 dumbest Hollywood hatemongers, which you can read about here. As far as anyone knows, it’s the last thing the irrelevant John Cusack appeared in.

Democrats Unhinged

Speaking of Mamdani, the Democrat Party is exhibiting Obama-like levels of idol-worship toward its videogenic young (33) star. The mainstream media adores him. Democrat leaders are lining up to sing his praises. Young Democrat voters are seduced by his faux “otherness.” The upshot is that the Party, wrestling with an existential crisis after having been spanked by Donald Trump last November, clearly has learned nothing since then. They are still reeling from a recent Rasmussen poll revealing that for the first time since such polling began, a full 50 percent of Americans believe that, under the Trump administration, the country is moving in the right direction. And yet they lack the humility and introspection to consider that maybe – just maybe – their radical agenda of such unhinged ideas as slavery reparations, open borders, and the genital mutilation of children might not be resonating with the vast majority of Americans.

So instead, young Democrats are doubling down on their radicalism and getting behind such rising stars as Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whom they see as the future of the party. The Hill declares that AOC, 35, is “simply the most exciting figure in Democratic politics… There is no one else in the left-wing ‘lane’ who could come close to competing with [her] in a primary.”

Now the RAIR Foundation reports that Mamdani has joined forces with insufferable, anti-gun twerp David Hogg, whose PAC “Leaders We Deserve” is dedicated to putting the fear of God into aging, establishment Democrats by primarying them with young, farther-Left radicals. Hogg, 25, has announced his group will spend $20 million to elect leaders like Mamdani. RAIR notes that the PAC, which appears to be a communist organization, was the top donor to one of the leading outside groups backing Mamdani in New York City.

If you thought corrupt dinosaurs like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer were bad for America, wait until you see what the next generation of the radical Left has planned for her.

Joy Unhinged

Remember Joy Reid? No? You’re not alone. To refresh your memory: she is the former talk show host who was too radical even for MSNBC, which let her go when her ratings collapsed despite – or perhaps because of, it’s unclear – her relentless fear-mongering and race-baiting about Donald Trump and American white supremacy.

On a recent episode of her podcast, she asserted that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis doesn’t want “brown people” in his state, so he is “rounding them up” to throw into a “concentration camp” which is being facetiously called “Alligator Alcatraz” (now there’s a movie just begging to be made). The institution is a new immigration detention facility erected in the Everglades that DeSantis described as a “one-stop shop” for detaining, processing, and deporting illegal aliens (not “brown people”).

She also claimed that “Latinos all over the country” or anyone who is even perceived to be or looks Latino is afraid to go to work for fear of being rounded up by immigration law enforcement:

Needless to say, there isn’t an iota of truth to this unhinged claim. No one of any color who is in this country legally has anything to fear from the shamefully maligned officers of ICE. Reid is nothing more than a rabble-rousing racist who is bitter about the success of the MAGA movement to take this country back from far-Left media propagandists and cultural elites like she used to be.

As Donald Trump might say, “Sad.”
