Hatred of Jews is being rapidly mainstreamed by the political fringes. On the Left, it flies the false flag of hatred of Israel, but it’s not.
Consider the case of Canada’s New Democratic Party, a leftist party which has only 7 seats, but that gives it some power in parliamentary politics.
Its next leader could be the man who wrote this, “‘Anti-Semitism’ may be the most abused term in Canada today. Almost entirely divorced from its dictionary definition — “discrimination against or prejudice or hostility toward Jews” — it is now primarily invoked to uphold Jewish and white privilege… Without an intervention of some sort, the Jewish community risks having future dictionaries defining “antisemitism” as “a movement for justice and equality.”
Yves Engler cut his teeth on the Concordia anti-Israel riots and he spends a lot of time ranting about the “Gaza Holocaust”, but no, it’s not about Israel.

Engler is the choice of the NDP’s Socialist Caucus (think the Canadian version of the DSA) for the leadership of the NDP. And while it’s easy to dismiss that as a fringe caucus in a fringe party, this sort of thing is becoming mainstreamed. There’s only so long that the pretense that this is about Israel will even be maintained. Before long the masks will come off for good.
Makes me wonder what is going on in his brain. He looks like an adult male but his head is full of rocks, an empty skull. It’s hard to fathom what people are thinking, I keep projecting on them as if they were intelligent adults but they are not.
