And it’s not as if this is even anything new. Republicans had a vicious fight over this with Bill Clinton with the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA) which, like so many of these immigration bills, was supposed to clean up the system, but was instead gutted, not enforced and generally ignored. Some of the same Republicans who wanted to get illegals out of schools then turned around and voted for it anyway.
The Clinton administration’s Department of Education spent plenty of time intimidating schools and colleges over whether they would engage in affirmative action or admit illegal aliens. This is a partial rollback, but it’s an important first step.
The U.S. Department of Education today announced it will end taxpayer subsidization of illegal aliens in career, technical, and adult education programs. In an interpretive rule issued today, the Department rescinded a Dear Colleague letter from the Clinton Administration that enabled non-qualified illegal aliens to access federal public benefits in contravention of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA). The interpretive rule also ensures that postsecondary education programs authorized under the Higher Education Act (HEA), such as Pell Grants and student loans, continue to be inaccessible to illegal immigrants.
“Postsecondary education programs funded by the federal government should benefit American citizens, not illegal aliens,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. “Under President Trump’s leadership, hardworking American taxpayers will no longer foot the bill for illegal aliens to participate in our career, technical, or adult education programs or activities. The Department will ensure that taxpayer funds are reserved for citizens and individuals who have entered our country through legal means who meet federal eligibility criteria.”
It took nearly 30 years. And now get ready for the class action lawsuits, federal injunctions and lawsuits by colleges.
Time to get back to teaching American Youth about the real meaning of Americas Founding(Not on Slavery)and the real meaning of the U.S. Constitution and why it was written forget this Fake Stuff(Climate Change)and screw the UN as well
That’s an appropriate idea but rather than teaching them about the US Constitution first, teach them about the horrors and inequities of communism, socialism, despotism, aristocracy, monarchism, autocracy and plutocracy. That way they’ll gain a greater appreciation of the US Constitution and why we should seek to preserve it.
By the way, on paper the US is supposedly a constitutional republic but in actuality the US is an oligarchy and operationally a plutocracy. The rich and powerful get their way no matter who or what we the people vote for.
Moreover, it is wishful thinking and naive to assume that we the people have any real control over our government. We don’t and never did. The evidence is everywhere and cannot be disputed.

Seems to me CCP members have carte blanche access to all our elite colleges simply because they will pay Full Tuition and then spend four years learning to hate America! The Chinese female students often give birth while they are here to Anchor Babies. A real ‘Win Win ‘ for the CCP. Are we so entirely infiltrated with rich CCP kids in this Country that it’s rarely mentioned even when Chinese Illegal Aliens are caught? We have thousands of fighting age Chinese Nationals who flew in to NY with rolling luggage in suits, disappeared upstate and bought property near Fort Drum! Silence…. we hear only sob stories about Hispanics migrants arrested at Bodegas, job sites and Pot Farms. Seems like We the People are being played if the CCP can just buy their way in here without breaking a sweat ! This is not about Ethnicity or Diversity ….
