As a fragile ceasefire is maintained between Israel, America, and the Islamic Republic, the world holds its breath. Following the series of critical setbacks that have impacted on the mullahs’ regime in the past year, including the continuing protests in Iran and the economy teetering on the verge of bankruptcy coupled with the virtual collapse of Tehran’s so-called ‘Axis of Resistance’, including Bashar al-Assad in Syria, Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, there is an almost unprecedented opportunity for regime change.
Ninety million impoverished Iranians have had enough. Cruelly repressed by a misogynist and medieval theocratic regime that is unable to provide even basic services such as electricity, gas, and water, Resistance Units are burgeoning nationwide. Controlled and coordinated by the People’s Mojahedin of Iran/Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK), the Resistance Units are actively fighting for Iran’s destiny, to overthrow the tyranny of the mullahs and introduce a secular democratic republic. Placards declaring: “Down with the oppressor, be it the shah or the mullahs” and “No to the crown, no to the turban, the mullahs’ time is over,” are appearing regularly on the regime’s bridges and buildings across Iran.
The rejection of the restoration of the monarchy by the Iranian people exposes the efforts of the mullahs to claim that their removal will simply pave the way for Reza Pahlavi – the son of the deposed and hated Shah- to reclaim the Peacock Throne and restore fascist autocracy. After years of silence, the self-proclaimed ‘Crown Prince’ has suddenly re-emerged from his languid life of Western luxury, paid for by the billions looted by his father, to announce that he is the answer to the Iranian crisis. Many Middle East experts ask themselves: “If Pahlavi is the answer, what was the question?” He is being exploited as a ‘useful idiot’ by the mullahs to confuse the rising tide of dissidents demanding regime change.
Incredibly, Pahlavi told a press conference in Paris on 23 June that he was in direct communication with the IRGC – the regime’s Gestapo – which he sees as necessary to maintain order after the overthrow of the mullahs. He said that he is establishing: “a formal channel for military, security, and police personnel to reach out directly to me, my team, and our expanding operation.” He claimed: “I know these officers, these soldiers, these brave men exist because they are reaching out to me and telling me they want to be part of this national salvation. But now, greater coordination is needed.”
Describing members of the IRGC and Basij as “brave men” will have outraged the tens of thousands of families of those who have been arrested, tortured, and murdered by the mullahs’ repressive forces. It is no wonder the courageous Resistance Units are expressing a clear vision for Iran’s future that rejects both the current criminal theocracy and the past cruel monarchy. The PMOI/MEK Resistance Units are spreading the message nationwide that neither appeasement nor war can solve Iran’s problems. They point to the third option, which relies solely on the Iranian people and their organized Resistance to bring about a democratic, secular republic. They are risking their lives daily, as the mullahs deploy the IRGC and Basij to hunt down anyone who opposes their tyrannical regime.
On average, more than one person has been hanged since the so-called moderate president Masoud Pezeshkian took office in August, including dissidents, women, and juveniles. The regime’s escalating brutality is a sign of profound weakness and fear of its own people. Undeterred, government compounds are firebombed, graffiti and posters supporting the PMOI/MEK are displayed in towns and cities throughout Iran, and regime broadcasts and communications are regularly hacked and hijacked with opposition messages. As fears grow that the regime is intent on massacring imprisoned dissidents, placards demanding the release of political prisoners have appeared in major population centers including Tehran, Isfahan, Karaj, Tabriz, Gorgan, and Arak.
The protests are in direct response to the regime’s sinister strategy of using the war with Israel and America as a cover to eliminate its opponents. On June 16, anti-riot Special Units gunned down terrified prisoners in Dizel-Abad Prison in Kermanshah. The inmates were simply protesting that the Israeli missile strikes had jeopardised their safety, but 10 were shot dead and more than 30 were wounded in the ensuing carnage. When an Israeli missile hit Evin Prison, the mullahs ordered the forcible transfer of political prisoners to unknown destinations. The secrecy surrounding their relocation had echoes of the massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners by the regime in 1988, when PMOI/MEK inmates were moved under the guise of “protection” before being systematically executed.
Now, with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian announcing that he has suspended further cooperation with inspectors from the UN nuclear watchdog – the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the time for diplomacy and negotiation with this gangster regime is over. Western appeasers who believe that the Iranian leopard may change its spots should wake up. The mullahs will now desperately try to resurrect their nuclear program. With no remaining allies, they know that the development of a nuclear bomb is their only chance of frightening the West and holding onto power. Western leaders must show their moral support for the courageous women and men of the PMOI/MEK Resistance Units, who will stop this from happening by sweeping the mullahs from power.
Murder, torture, rape, terrorism and endless lies is all that the Iranian regime has ever done.
As evil as it gets and rotten to the core. Nothing but the rule of blood thirsty savages over people.
Hmm, and the COMMON denominator???
If Reza Pahlavi can foment enough dissent to install a Constitutional Monarchy, more power to him. If you look at the middle eastern States that are stable and prosperous, it is all the Monarchies that have succeeded. The ones that have descended into tyranny are all nominal Republics. Not every people are capable of maintaining a free Republic.
Amen. The only workable government in a tribal society is a ligament monarchy..
The Mujahideen-e Khalq are just a marginal Islamo-Marxist group that degenerated into a personality cult centered around the Rajavis.
This entire article was nothing but MEK propaganda unworthy of Frontpagemag. Your editors have been duped like so many members of the U.S. Congress before you.
This Frontpagemag.com article has it right when it informs the reader that “Ninety million impoverished Iranians have had enough…the Resistance Units are actively fighting for Iran’s destiny, to overthrow the tyranny of the mullahs and introduce a secular democratic republic. Placards declaring: “Down with the oppressor, be it the shah or the mullahs.”
For that horrifically, cruel oppressive malicious and murderous Islamic regime of Iran, denies the Iranian, people their basic natural human rights. As in consequence the people of Iran would and should revolt against that viciously brutal tyrannical “’mullah regime” of Iran.
Accordingly, the Iranian people are right and righteous by engaging in bitter and strong protests against those cruel malicious and murderous tyrants in power of that cruel and oppressive Sharia based dictatorship of that Islamic regime of Iran.
In other words, those vicious despots of that horrendously horrific Islamic regime have provoked the people excessively too far.
In addition, some of the people who trapped in and forced to exist in the Islamic dictatorship of Iran might not know about the intellect philosopher John Locke, but his ideas do apply to them. For Mr. Locke taught that any good government has the duty to ensure the security and safety of its citizens. Yet when a tyranny is the people in the tyrannical government do have every natural and ethical right to overthrow that terrible and oppressive tyrannical government.
The Iranian people are right and justified for hating that brutal cruel oppressive and even murderous Islamic tyrannical regime of Iran and revolting against it
That horrific Islamic regime has arrested and imprisonment many and even execution of people , repeatedly, who had peacefully protested that “mullah tyranny” and demanding their basic human rights .
The horrendous repercussions against the Iranian people who only want human rights by those despots of Iran only further exposes the weak ,fearful and intolerant nature of those in power in the oppressive and brutal “mullah regime “ of Iran.
Therefore, the Iranians people are more than justified in wanting that brutal cruel oppressive Islamic tyranny to be overthrown and replaced with a genuine government.
As a former Muslim revealed an important reality when he wrote “The Islamic republic of Iran exists and operates as what every fundamentalist dreams of, an Islamic state ruled by sharia …” He further exposes that “What followed its establishment was the inevitable consequence and inexorable logic of its Islamic premise; state terrorism, a merciless tyranny.” [1]
