Rep. Katie Hill won’t go away.
After resigning in disgrace, she’s written a self-serving article and now has a GoFundMe to raise money to sue… somebody.
“Now Katie seeks justice against everybody responsible,” the GoFundMe declares.
Whoever that may be. Apparently securing this form of justice will cost $100,000.
“Katie believes that she was used by organizations like Red State and Daily Mail to show women and girls that, no matter how powerful they become, they are still vulnerable. However, she is determined to ensure what happened to her doesn’t deter other women from engaging in politics, but instead inspires them to get involved,” the site claims.
The Daily Mail is a newspaper. Also the central issue was Hill’s inappropriate relationship, not some vast plot against women and girls.
The fundraiser claims that these lawsuits will serve to create precedents for “non-consensual pornography”. That’s nonsense. The issue has been extensively litigated. And meaningful precedents are more likely to be created by legislation.
Still the most landmark “non-consensual pornography” lawsuit is the one that lefties fought tooth and nail, by Hulk Hogan against Gawker.
But it’s obviously different when “they” do it.
