Racism is one of the biggest industries in the country. Every organization is rotten with DEI departments that search for disparate impact on anyone black and use that as evidence of racism. If more black people die of heart attacks or are less likely to mow their lawns, it’s evidence of systemic racism.
But if disparate impact is evidence of systemic racism, it’s time for a Black Cars Matter movement.
Globally, road traffic crashes kill about 3000 people a day. Identification of modifiable risk factors is an important step in reducing this burden. Previous research suggests that white or light coloured cars are less likely to be involved in a crash, than cars of other colours
More recent surveys in the United States appear to confirm that white cars crash less than black cars.
When analyzing nearly a million car crashes over 17 years, the researchers found that white cars had the lowest likelihood of being involved in a crash. Regardless of the time of day, white cars were 12% less likely to get into an accident than black cars.
According to the Monash University study of car accidents by color, black cars are the most accident-prone due to their low visibility against dark roads. Other dangerous car colors are grey, silver, blue and red.
Red cars matter too!
There are usually rational explanations for things like this, whether it’s statistical blips or variant factors, that don’t involve resorting to the ‘systemic racism’ conspiracy theory. But the whole premise of DEI is that everything must be seen through the lens of racism. So if black cars crash more often, it must be because the drivers are subconsciously racist.
And red cars are the most likely to be ticketed. That was the psyche in the 1970’s.
I got my first reddish colored vehicle in July 5, 2023 when I picked up a custom Ford Maverick with Ford Ecoboost turbo. It handles like a sports car and is a solid truck I also have a 2021 Jeep Gladiator – The Maverick was just to drive around town – I ended up taking it on a few expedition drives
You have to get used to driving a light vehicle with Ecoboost – At first I thought I was going 30 mph, when I looked I was going 60 mph – when i thought I was going 60, I was going 90.
Of course decades of safe driving and early life being an auto mechanic – and grey hair as well as my retired law enforcement ID – and not being stupid on the highways and a praying man – I can drive like the wind and be ok
Many drivers that think they are cool and “hot stuff” desire black cars. Older people who don’t want to put up with the extreme heat getting into a car prefer white.
I like blue.
Driving a black car is like black people wearing black clothing. It’s affected.
I dunno. This “white car/black car” b…sh..t sounds like desperate Democrats searching for a straw in a fart storm. “Bout the same as having a “NO Kings” riot and demonstration in downtown London. (Which the idiots did, by the way) A fortune could be made sewing millions of long-sleeve white jackets for use to cleanup retards who call themselves Democrats.
The fallacy involved is called concomitant variation. I have a black car because I bought it used from a dealer which deals in fleet cars. They order black for simplicity.
