The one consistent thing about China’s hacking war against America is that it’s always escalating.
A cyberattack tied to the Chinese government penetrated the networks of a wide swath of U.S. broadband providers, potentially accessing information from systems the federal government uses for court-authorized network wiretapping requests.
So China wiretapped our wiretapping.
The widespread compromise is considered a potentially catastrophic security breach and was carried out by a sophisticated Chinese hacking group dubbed Salt Typhoon. It appeared to be geared toward intelligence collection, the people said.
As distinct from…
U.S. officials in September said they had disrupted a network of more than 200,000 routers, cameras and other internet-connected consumer devices that served as an entry point into U.S. networks for a China-based hacking group called Flax Typhoon. And in January, federal officials disrupted Volt Typhoon, another China-linked campaign that has sought to infiltrate a swath of critical U.S. infrastructure. U.S. officials warned that Volt Typhoon appeared largely focused on prepositioning into networks to later detonate cyberattacks that could cripple operations of infrastructure.
Why would the CCP want to do such a thing? Because they’re preparing for a war.
One fundamental lesson from Oct 7 and Israel’s attack on Hezbollah is that communications are more critical to war than ever and that crippling an enemy’s communications is the difference between a successful attack and an unsuccessful one. China it seems would like to make sure whatever adversarial action it takes will be successful.
Good news though, Biden and Xi are gonna do a call.
The United States and China are planning a call between President Joe Biden and President Xi Jinping in the coming days, according to people familiar with the discussions who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
After his talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi last Friday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters that both sides “emphasized the need to maintain open lines of communication” between the Chinese and American leaders.
China is taking the “open lines of communication” part literally.
Both sides are prepping for a potential war in 2027.
The US Navy has outlined a seven-target plan to boost its readiness for war by 2027, with its eye on China as Beijing ramps up its own military strength and the possibility of a Taiwan invasion looms.
Adm. Lisa Franchetti, chief of naval operations, released the plan on Wednesday, saying she had spent a year taking stock of the Navy’s direction and what it must prioritize in the near future.
In a speech at the Naval War College in Rhode Island, Franchetti said the heart of her strategy was “prioritizing raising our level of readiness for potential conflict with the People’s Republic of China by 2027.”
The 2027 deadline has been a focal point for US officials and defense chiefs, who say it was set by Chinese leader Xi Jinping as the year that China should be ready to seize Taiwan militarily.
Franchetti referenced that assessment again in her speech, saying that it’s “what Chairman Xi told his forces, that they should be ready for war by 2027.”
China has a plan. It’s regularly escalating. What’s our plan besides turning over the rest of our economy to the CCP?
Their leftists through the M.S. Media CNN/NYT.
Same here in uk, 2 tier Kier selling our security off to China via the muslims in Mauritius. And giving them billions extra for I don’t know what. It’s probably a money- laundering scheme like the one in Ukraine.
