California’s ‘caste’ discrimination bill was an anti-Hindu gimmick by Aisha Wahhab, an Afghan Muslim immigrant, aimed at the state’s Hindu population. And the whole thing was probably thought up by CAIR or some Islamist group looking to deal with Hindus through the same divide-and-conquer measures it had used against Jews. (And then on to the Christians.) The bill should never have been voted on, Hindus were right to oppose it and it absolutely deserved to be vetoed.
That said, there’s an interesting angle from a story about a donor boasting that he turned to Kamala to stop it.
Kapur, a member of the Biden-Harris National Finance Committee in 2020, said he wasn’t following the bill closely until it passed the legislature. “I was just concentrating on raising money for Biden, for his reelection,” Kapur said in an interview.
Speaking on a Hindu television show broadcast on YouTube, Kapur said Japra pulled him into the debate. Kapur said he then reached out to Vice President Harris, whose mother was Indian American.
“The White House played a little part in also supporting this,” Kapur said in the interview on YouTube. “If Japra did not send me that information and I didn’t go to Kamala D. Harris … this bill would have been signed.”
In an interview with The Washington Post, Kapur backed away from the claim that he solicited and secured Harris’s help, saying, “If I said that, I misspoke.” A Harris spokesperson did not respond to calls and texts seeking comment.
Which version of the story do you believe? I’d go with the first version since there was no need to lie.
Did Kamala, who is of Brahmin descent, help shoot down the caste discrimination bill? Her spokesperson didn’t want to answer back then and she’s not answering questions at all today.
Kamala likes to roleplay as black and has played ball with CAIR so she’s unlikely to admit that she intervened on a Hindu issue that puts her on the wrong side of the woke agenda in this case.
