Wife-beater Kilmar Abrego Garcia, illegally present in the United States, has become the poster boy for violent gangs Tren de Aragua, MS-13 and criminal illegals in general. Democrats and their judicial allies are doing everything in their power to prevent the deportation of these violent criminals. The nation could learn from Israel, which took a different approach.

Back in 1950, Israel passed the Law of Return, granting Jews worldwide the right to settle in Israel unless the returnee “is engaged in an activity directed against the Jewish people,” or “is likely to endanger public health or the security of the State.” In 1970 that was extended to “a person with a criminal past, likely to endanger public welfare.”

About that time, Meyer Lansky, the so-called “mogul of the mob,” fled to Israel, but Prime Minister Golda Meir learned of his connection to the mafia. Nearly 70 years old, Lansky engaged lawyers to argue that he was unlikely to endanger the public welfare. Even so, Lansky’s past association was enough for Israel to boot him out of the country – with no interference from judges, politicians or the media. Contrast the criminal illegals allowed to remain in America.

In 2024, illegal immigrant Jose Ibarra murdered University of Georgia student Laken Riley, who refused to become his rape victim. In 2019, Mexican criminal Paulo Virgen Mendoza gunned down California police officer Ronil “Ron” Singh, a legal immigrant from Fiji who came to the USA to become a police officer.

Long before the threat of Tren de Aragua, MS-13 “carved out a reign of terror” in California. In Mendota, near Fresno, MS-13 committed at least 14 murders. Joanna Maya, slated to testify in a murder trial, was hacked to death and her mutilated body left on display. MS-13 members come from El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and entered the USA illegally. In 2018 during their reign of terror, California attorney general Xavier Becerra, was mainly concerned with their “status.”

In 2015, previously deported Mexican Jose Inez Garcia Zarate fired a stolen pistol and took the life of Kate Steinle as she walked on a San Francisco pier. In 2014 in Sacramento, Mexican illegal Luis Bracamontes gunned down police officers Danny Oliver and Michael Davis. And as it happens, a previously deported Mexican national was responsible for one of the worst murders in California and national history.

In 1971 near Yuba City, Juan Corona murdered and mutilated Charles Fleming, Melford Sample, Donald Smith, John J. Haluka, Warren Kelley, Sigurd Beierman, William Emery Kamp, Clarence Hocking, James W. Howard, Jonah R. Smallwood, Elbert T. Riley, Paul B. Allen, Edward Martin Cupp, Albert Hayes, Raymond Muchache, John H. Jackson, Lloyd Wallace Wenzel, Mark Beverly Shields, Sam Bonafide and Joseph Maczak. Four others were not identified.

Corona’s victims were all farm workers, and not a single one was Mexican. The victims included two African Americans and a Native American, but the murders were never considered a hate crime. Politicians never cited Corona’s murder spree as a warning that illegal immigration can be dangerous.

The United States of America deploys immigration laws this writer knows from direct experience. Those aspiring to reside in America, a prelude to citizenship, must certify that they are not criminals, not Communist Party members, and pose no threat to public health and safety. The potential resident must also show facility in the English language, and provide evidence that he or she will not become a public charge. Once approved, the “resident alien” gets a green card but cannot vote until granted full citizenship. Jump ahead to 2021.

With 22 million illegals already in the United States, more than the population of Chile,

Joe Biden proceeded to bring in more than 10 million foreign nationals – approximately the population of Portugal, Sweden or the Czech Republic. Biden brought them in with no criminal background or health checks, no English skills, and no job prospects. That gave legal immigrants and legitimate citizens plenty to ponder.

Where were the judges, all the way to the Supreme Court, opposing Biden’s violation of longstanding immigration law? Why were the foreign nationals sent around the country and housed at public expense? Voting by illegals is a violation of federal law. How many illegals voted in 2024?

When Trump began to deport Venezuelan gang members, Obama judge James Boasberg, formerly of the secret FISA court, ordered them returned. Does the Constitution give executive power to judges at any level? And so on.

The criminals Trump is deporting are far more dangerous than the 70-year-old Meyer Lansky Israel sent packing. The same should apply to members of Tren de Aragua and MS-13. Despite the protest of John Roberts, judges who protect these criminals should be impeached.

To paraphrase Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) in The Godfather, we are talking about corrupt judges who ignored the law they swore to uphold and got what was coming to them. Americans are free to defend criminal illegals, but don’t tell me you support the rule of law. As Michael told Carlo, it insults my intelligence and makes me very angry.
