	The investigations serve their own purpose, they maintain surveillance on political opponents, cripple their networks and maintain a perpetual funk of scandal around them.


	Trials are a test and even the heavily rigged D.C. federal trials have their legal limits. And an actual trial, even if it ended in a conviction, would very nearly defeat the true purpose of the game.


	The purpose of manufacturing a threat is building and maintaining the machine meant to fight it. The fight isn't meant to be won, only perpetuated.&nbsp;


	Trump becomes a pretext for targeting a wide range of conservatives. Every action is met with a reaction that further boosts the "Fortify Democracy" complex and expands their range of powers and tactics.


	The Left's goal is the fascist one of consolidating and seizing direct and total power over all Americans. Their means of doing so are...


	1. Manufacturing a crisis


	2. Radicalizing elements of society to build a radical coalition


	Seizing police powers is tricky business, but invariably involves manufacturing some sort of extremism threat. Spygate moved beyond Clinton administration era paranoia about militias to go after a broad spectrum of the conservative movement. Trump is the thinnest slice of the onion. The point is to normalize this kind of thing until America closely resembles a totalitarian country where the political opposition is routinely subjected to investigations and suppressed with police powers.&nbsp;


	The Obama administration, like the JFK and FDR administrations, marked the broad use of police powers against political opponents. The Biden administration is going beyond Obama. Under Obama, surveillance was used against domestic political opponents. Under Biden, they're building it out to more direct raids and information seizures. How long will it take until they get more ambitious?


	History suggests it won't be that long.


	But for now building a police state using a manufactured emergency is the central goal. The pretexts, as always with lefties, matters much less than the power.

First things first, let's look at how open-ended the search warrant is.

	The search warrant however sought a broad spectrum search of "locations to be searched include the "45 Office," all storage rooms, and all other rooms or areas within the premises used or available to be used by FPOTUS and his staff and in which boxes or documents could be stored, including all structures or buildings on the estate."


	Pretty much everything.


	The list of property to be seized begins with classified documents and escalates from there to... everything.


	Here's Item C. "Any government and/or Presidential Records created between January 20, 2017, and January 20, 2021".


	The search for classified documents is a pretext for a fishing expedition by agents of the ruling party.

	The media, at least in this country, has wrapped itself in knots to avoid using the "I" word.&nbsp;


	Back when Rushdie wrote The Satanic Verses, it was controversial. Today, any kind of criticism of Mohammed is considered hate speech and censored to such a degree that the media would not even report what an Indian elected official said about Mohammed's pedophilic tendencies, only to denounce it as hurtful and hateful to Muslims.


	Today, a new author could never publish something like that. And the media is uncomfortable even discussing what it is that Rushdie wrote.


	The various condemnations likewise don't mention Islam, Islamic terrorism or any beyond generic concepts like "freedom of expression."


	Long before this attack, the sharia censorship that Iran wanted to impose on Americans had already been achieved.

Biden's a little over the age and generation of participation trophies, but it's incredible what a low bar is being set.


	The media has spent over a week taking a victory lap on Biden's behalf because he managed to get a watered-down version of the bill through after it was held hostage by two senators from his own party.


	As the signature accomplishment for a year and likely a presidential term, it's really pathetic.


	Even in isolation from the national disaster that is the economy, the massive crime and all the other political, social, cultural, medical and assorted other problems, it would be a pretty poor accomplishment for the president of a party that holds majorities in the House and the Senate, to claim victory for managing to get a bill passed.


	Especially when that bill was blocked by two Senate members from his own party who determined the final content of it.


	Never mind doing a time when most people are focused on inflation, crime, diminishing hopes and national conflict.


	But&nbsp;Joe "Low Expectations" Biden always seems to get graded on a curve.


	Did he manage to recite most of his teleprompter speech without fumbling it too much? A+


	Is his approval rating at 40%? Gold star!


	Is the catastrophic inflation only slightly higher in the latest selectively categorized report? He's the new FDR! Happy days are here again!


	I don't know if this is a general attempt by the media to salvage the reputation of the Democrats ahead of the midterms or to make Biden feel like he can retire a winner. Probably both. Certainly the former. But even Obama wasn't this condescended to for pretty much just getting out of bed in the morning.
