While looking for something else entirely, I came across this blast from the past.
It’s a parody song that I believe aired on Rush Limbaugh’s show back in the day, but I’m not too sure anyone would air it today. It involves appeasing Iran and as you can see, the more things change, the more they stay the same… and change. Considering that its starring figure is Ahmadinejad, the protagonist is dated, but the basic dilemma is the same.
A classic Rush Limbaugh song on appeasing Iran

Do we “talk to the terrorists”, “share their hopes and dreams” and see if “maybe we can find some common ground.”?
“If we could just talk to the terrorists
Show how nice we are
Find a way that we can all agree.”
“We can ask him what would make Iran less mad at us? Kill yourselves, that’ll do!”
Burton explained it all in the 1800s, their culture and our culture are incompatible.
It comes from three Constitution. Freedom of Religion left many people to the conclusion that every religion is good. They’re not. Some are definitely better than others, just like cultures.
Actually, the Prophets through YHVH GOD of the Bible said it first:
Genesis 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
Their subhuman culture and humanity are incompatible.
What Burton books and biographies have you been reading? I’m glad I turned you on to him but I’m kind of jealous because you’ve read much more than I have, and I’ve even read fictional stuff. “The Riverworld” series by the late great Philip Jose Farmer had Burton as the main protagonist in the series. A trilogy and a some short stories. Burton even beat Cyrano DeBergerac in a saber duel in that series. DeBergerac had a rapier or whatever but Burton was a manly man who used a big manly saber. He didn’t kill the Frenchie, though because he actually liked him. I know, DeBergerac is a fictional character but Farmer made him real and real cool in his books.
Good stories. You should read them. And his love interest in most of the books is Alice Liddell, who the “Alice in Wonderland” book is based on. I’v’e never read it though. I’m sure it’s good but I outgrew that sort of stuff by the time I was 16 or 17.
I got some Burton stuff online for $2.95:
Delphi Collected Works of Sir Richard Francis Burton
16,000+ pages 🙂
Thanks! I’ll check it out. $2.95 is almost free. Unless it’s two hundred and ninety five.
this whole mess is due 100% form Obama/Biden empowering the Ayatollahs and also stupidly making Russia enemy #1.
“If We Could Talk to the Terrorists”
There’s only one pertinent question to ask a group of terrorists: “which one of you want to die first?”
Appeasement was tried by our Founders. It never works with Islam.
Muslims hate all non-muslims religiously.
That’s a simple fact that so many people still don’t understand.
That video is funny as fuck.
Thanks Jeff 🙂
Is it right to blow yourselves up for nothing?
Take it from Doctor Doolittle:
I can walk with the animals, talk with the animals
Grunt and squeak and squawk with the animals
And they can squeak and squawk and speak and talk to me!
It is possible to communicate with some animals, but their ways are quite strange. Like with scrub jays, looking from side to side means it’s safe to come in. Useful when feeding them peanuts 🙂
They have scrub Jays here outside San Jose at the Los Gatos Creek trail and at Lexington Reservoir (actually a very large lake.) They look a lot different than the regular Blue Jays and sound different. Clever birds, both species. And they dominate the birds around them except for crows and bald eagles..
I didn’t know they like peanuts though. I’ll have to remember that. Usually, I only have crows eat from my hand, and they’re a bit annoying, actually.
I have only seen one, a few years ago in my neighborhood. I was alerted to it because of the sounded jay-like but not a blue jay. The bird let me see him and he was a beautiful.
Fifty years ago in central Texas, we had the little Inca doves, also called rock doves or Mexican doves. They are very special and unique in that family. The blue jays migrated in from the east and destroyed them by eating their eggs and young.
My birding apps tell me the rock doves are still in the western U.S. I hope so.
We called them Mourning Doves in Arizona. There were two big pepper trees next to the trailer I lived in at the time (it was quite nice) and they would wake me up every morning with their gentle coos. There are very few trees in the AZ desert, you know, so they would come from miles around to roost in those two.
I liked them.
If you talk to Chickens is that Fowl Language!?
I see your Talk to the Terrorists musical video and I raise you another parody musical diddy:
It’s a natural. Your video is an extension of the “Bomb Iraq” song that was popular following the Second Gulf War. I remember it got some airplay on Rush Limbaugh.
Yes, and let’s not forget Achmed the Dead Terrorist.
Oh, that was funny. I haven’t seen it in years. “I keel you!” Achmed the dead terrorist. Dunham is funny.
Actually, it goes back to 1980. Maybe 1981. The Beach Boys were doing a July 4 concert on the Mall in D.C.. Of course, one of their hits was “Barbara Ann.”. When they performed it, the massive audience (and possibly the group) spontaneously sang the chorus as “Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.”. I was there. Good times.
