It’s generally not a good sign when your senior people and especially your lawyers flee for the hills.
ActBlue is the backbone of Democrat and especially leftist fundraising. It’s huge in a way that few can fathom. And something is going on inside. The New York Times promises to explain it and then fails to explain anything.
Except that something is clearly going on.
What prompted so many longtime ActBlue officials to leave is not clear — none of the former officials agreed to be interviewed on the record.
… the senior staff departures began on Feb. 21. That day, ActBlue’s customer service and partnerships directors, who had both worked at the group for more than a decade, left…the next week, several other senior officials left, including the associate general counsel — who was the highest-ranking legal officer at ActBlue — the assistant research director, a human resources official, the chief revenue officer and an engineer who had spent 16 years building and maintaining the electronic pipes through which the group’s donations flow.
As these people left, Zain Ahmad, who was the last remaining lawyer in the ActBlue general counsel’s office, wrote in an internal Slack message on Feb. 26 that his access to email and other internal platforms had been cut off and that other messages he had posted in Slack had been deleted, according to a screenshot obtained by The New York Times. Mr. Ahmad is now on leave from ActBlue, according to a person briefed on the group’s staffing.
Some turnover may be natural, but having your lawyers head for the exit, and then the last remaining lawyer having his access cut off, suggests something big is in the work.
Republicans, both state and federal, have belatedly been investigating ActBlue and we know over what, but normally that’s what lawyers are for. Having your lawyers exit suggests that they don’t want to be in the position of defending an organization whose leadership has done something indefensible even by leftist standards.
Let’s see if we find out what.
I appreciate another bit of a hopeful lift, Mr. Greenfield.
Thank God, thank God, thank God, something is rumbling.
So much rot…..

Zain Ahmad? Perhaps he suggested Sharia.
This indicates that these lawyers have foreknowledge of impending criminality.
Oh the lawyers do know. ActBlue has been illegally laundering money as campaign donations. James O’Keife brought that to light a while back. I reckon the lawyers at ActBlue know the feces is about to hit the rotary oscillator.
The sooner the better…
Daniel Greenfield is a national treasure. He exposes corruption and brings us truth, while somehow being able to stay above the fray and maintain his perspective.
My thoughts exactly.
Please keep track of the names of these perpetrators.
Just like acorn and other jihadist groups they start another outfit to conceal their operations.
Has the FBI or DOJ been involved? Act Blue is CREDIBLY accused of MONEY LAUNDERING and CAMPAIGN FRAUD on a scale so massive that it defies belief!
Their offices and computer systems should have already been RAIDED and everyone involved also should have THEIR homes raided! You know – the “work from home” crowd!!
People need to see people held accountable and their dastardly deeds illuminated so well that a caveman (or Rep. Green) can understand them! Most Americans have no clue the degree of fraud and treason that the DEMOcrats consider their policies!
Judging by the photo, it is definitely huge.
I know, right? Did “Admiral” Levine escape the whale tank at Sea World and find an ActBlue buffet?
“Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a Petition for Rulemaking to the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”) detailing how suspicious actors appear to be using ActBlue’s political fundraising platform to make a large number of straw political donations.
In December 2023, Attorney General Paxton opened an investigation into ActBlue to determine whether the platform’s operations were compliant with all applicable laws. In August 2024, Attorney General Paxton announced that due to the investigation, ActBlue began requiring donors using credit cards to provide “CVV” codes, a common security measure. But this is not a full solution to the problems that Attorney General Paxton’s team has identified on ActBlue. Namely, it appears that straw donations are systematically being made using false identities, through untraceable payment methods.”

BLSinSC & Spirit of San Jacinto say money laundering
Kimmon Johnson says straw donations
I wonder if they are laundering Federal money to NGOs through Act Blue
The 1st two would be defended by lawyers. Laundering federal money is enough for voters and citizens to
make them ride the rail.
I imagine you are correct as to the destination of the laundering. All I know for sure is OMG went door to door asking doners if the amount claimed was correct. As an example, he asked an elderly lady if she donated some $18,000 to ActBlue. She did in fact donate, but the donation was around $50. She is poor and on SS. The destination is unknown, but can’t be good.
From the looks of the chic in the article, maybe they were laundering money to Kiebler for Oreos.
THE VULTURES HAVE LEFT,THE SHARKS HAVE FLED,ACT-BLUE IS LAYING, IN ITS BED
My earlier comment containing a quote and link to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s website was apparently tossed by a moderator. I’m not sure why.
Ken Paxton’s office opened an investigation into Act Blue in December 2023 and filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission in October 2024. I suspect the new administration reviewed it and found a lot to be alarmed about regarding illegal and foreign donations laundered into Democrat campaigns everywhere.
Such restraint, Daniel. I’m in awe of your self-control.
I’ve noticed that a lot recently, headlines that promise to explain something, then explain nothing.
When the rats flee the ship,
it’s time to get a life vest.
The longtime wisdom about rats fleeing a sinking ship comes to mind.
Pam Bondi and Elon Musk, make sure you’ve already got your rat traps–glue traps or spring traps, or both–already in place on the pier to catch them as they jump!
Why is there a picture of a manatee at the top of this article?
