Never has the longtime criticism that Israel’s response to Muslim terrorism been as ghoulishly absurd as it is now
Norway’s prime minister says the Israeli army’s response to the deadly Hamas attack that killed 1,400 people and saw over 230 abducted by terrorists has been disproportionate, and denounces a “catastrophic” humanitarian situation in Gaza.
“International law stipulates that [the reaction] must be proportionate. Civilians must be taken into account, and humanitarian law is very clear on this. I think this limit has been largely exceeded,” Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store says on NRK public radio.
Turning terrorism into a math problem never made any moral, logical or strategic sense.
How many Arab Muslim women should Israel rape to be proportionate?
How many children should it kidnap and hold hostage?
Wars should be fought and won against military personnel. When terrorists hide behind civilians, then they have to be fought and destroyed. And the civilian casualties are their fault and the fault of those who don’t evacuate.
There is no proportion in fighting an enemy who brutally tortures and massacres your women and children. You utterly defeat and destroy them instead of proportionally trading crimes for crimes and evils for evils until the UN and the prime minister of Norway approve.
However does one gauge the ‘proportional response’ for such obvious atrocities?
Especially if one isn’t the party who’s been vicitimized.

There is no amount of proportionate response where ordinary Palestinians do not suffer greatly. War without the losing side suffering is experienced by them as a win.
Yes, and the aggressive side gains prestige in its population unless its people are not left to be spectators and cheer leaders without retaliation hurting them. For several years after independence, Israel did not retaliate for Arab terrorism launched by its neighbors. Then it did respond near in time and place to attacks. That was risky because that made responses predictable, but the idea was to connect attacks and responses. This was decided after the King of Jordan publicly rewarded a terrorist who was a criminal there instead of arresting him for terrorism or crime.
If israel took gaza children, Hamas doesn’t want them back or even alive. And didn’t Hamas kill Gaza people who were trying to flee Hamas? idk but Ive read muslim mothers there want their children to die for the cause or at least its lucrative if they do.
So there’s no proportionality where cultures don’t care about the same thing. Jews love children, any children Muslima post cartoons of a row of beheaded babies online and find it funny.
What do they care about? Maybe a total loss of power.

He obviously did not understand the implications of what he so foolishly said. This must be an embarrassment for those Norwegians who are not afraid to think critically.
Even if there were no Muslims presently in Norway, its antisemitic history and prevailing social climate would probably result in similarly despicable statements from its highest level government officials. F–k the Norwegian prime Minister, and Norway itself. Good luck integrating and managing the thousands of Allah’s minions now within your borders.

Mathematics in self-defense should involve things such as technical data regarding weaponry. Applying it to measuring damage to both sides is an idea brought up by biased fans of the attacking side. For a start, here is an actual representation of moral proportions using simple arithmetic. A punches B, in what is the proportionate response? The answer is B punches A twice. A and B started even. Then A was ahead one punch. The it required two punches for B to become ahead one punch which puts A in B’s prior situation. In practical terms, B needed to punch A as many times as necessary. The aim is self-defense, deterrence, and justice. Those goals may only be achievable with total victory.
When the Nazis were invading Norway in WW2, were the Norwegians demanding a proportional response from the Allies who saved them? What total BS.
Take the word of EVERY Muslim, Islamic and Arabic country that surrounds Israel: NONE of them will accept Palestinian refugees. Why is that? Because they understand who these people are, know that they’re trouble and don’t want the Palestinian “disease” spreading in their country. That fact should speak volumes to everyone.

When Netanyahu mentioned “old testament” retribution for the Hamas attacks, I had hoped he was referring to 1st Samuel chapter 15, where God tells King Saul what to do to the Amalekites:

As it turns out, God doesn’t follow the Geneva Convention either.
Absolutely, God sanctioned many wars for King David to fight, especially against pagan cultures, and those that worship Idols and false Gods.

I agree with you completely Daniel. It just seems to me that a “proportionate” war would only result in an unwinnable conflict that just kills a bunch of people without ever having a winner, unless one side got sick and tired and just gave up. I’m reminded of Vietnam for some reason.

It’s been some decades since I read about the Laws of War, but I don’t remember anything back then about “proportionate”. Maybe that is something the leftists slipped in since then.

This article is ridiculous. Proportionate war has never been the goal throughout history. Right or wrong, the goal has been to exterminate enemies. You cannot invade a nation, behead infants, rape old women and kidnap innocent people and then complain about proportionality. Life doesn’t work that way.
I agree with all the Israel detractors. The Israeli military response should be proportional. The proportionality ratio should be set at 200:1. Thus for each Israeli or foreign national in Israel killed, 200 scumbag muslims in Gaza should be erradicated. This is proportionality at work, the way gentiles want it, At 1,400 Jews and other foreign nationals killed on October 7, the tally is 280,000 muslim “proportionals” that need to pay the atrocities commited in the name of islam. It’s still a long way, world. Start complaining when fatalities in Gaza surpass the 280,000 mark. As for the wounded, you do the math, but it comes close to a million muslim savages wounded until “proportionality” is acquired. By the way, the Syrian civil war claimed 307,000 civilians killed, 171,000 Syrian soldiers, 112,000 Syrian rebels and 41,000 ISIS terrorists killed. Plus 6.6 million refugees and another 6.6 million relocated internally. Just to put some numbers under perspective. If Syria can do such “proportionality” to its own population, certainly Israel can do likewise with a blood-thirsty, fanatical enemy.

I seem to remember that under the laws of war soldiers were supposed to wear uniforms so they could be distinguished from civilians. Since Hamas doesn’t wear uniforms they are breaking the rules right from the start. Then how does one tell a civilian from a Hamas anyway?
