Democrats turned against the Antisemitism Awareness Act because their party had become increasingly antisemitic. But unwilling to directly vote against it, Sen. Bernie Sanders and other Dems and one Libertarian Republican, Sen. Rand Paul, joined forces to gut it by taking a bill meant to fight antisemitism and packing it with carve-outs for antisemites. Their antisemites. Notably campus Hamas supporters.
The Antisemitism Awareness Act, in its current state, now exists to protect supporters of killing Jews on college campuses. That means Republicans are likely to vote against it and Democrats will accuse Republicans of not caring about antisemitism.
As a practical matter, the will to enforce civil rights matters less than bills. The Biden administration chose to ignore antisemitism. The Antisemitism Awareness Act is no substitute for a government willing to act and even as the Trump admin has tried to move against campus hate, personnel in the Department of Justice have obstructed those moves, and leaked to the media, while judges and the media have rallied to support campus terrorist supporters.
The actions of the Senate Dems in gutting the Antisemitism Awareness Act just shows that the degree of the party’s complicity in antisemitism goes all the way to the top. And that those responsible have plenty of willing volunteers of Jewish ancestry, like Sanders, to act as political human shields for Hamas in America.
The Democrats have become systemically antisemitic.
And can we openly call Rand Paul an anti-Semite now? I read his website years ago (circa 2010-11) – now I’m sure its long gone and cleaned up . It had links to Jew hate. and not much else.
The solution to hate is hate.
Muslims, and the Dems who support them, are n°ggers.
The Dems are playing the same game the Labour Party is in Britain. Stuff the country full of Muslims and brand yourself as the anti-Israel party.
Not the giant boner hugger statue again!
That thing must be photo-shopped.
I don’t know how bad or violent this will get but if the past is any indication, then, God help us all
I hate the term “hate crime.” It should be unnecessary and introduces a per se criminal mental state – very Orwellian.
Hate crime legislation gives some classes special protections not enjoyed by others whom we are free to hate without government sanction. Isn’t all crime hate crime at some basic level? If not outright hate, then at least a disregard whose recklessness or indifference is tantamount to hate? Further, not all hate is bad. It is good to hate what is evil and to love what is good.
We already have too many laws and protections for special groups. We should be free to criticize any group and not have any special group(s) in the position of ruling over the thoughts and behaviors of others.
All civil rights legislation should be unnecessary. Our constitution already provides equality under the law. Civil rights legislation arises because of failure to uphold the law. Therefore the remedy should be to apply the law equally to everyone and to abolish all laws having a tendency to create special rights and protections. Too much “civil rights” legislation creates special rights and protections for some classes at the expense of others.
When I read the State Department’s working definition of “anti-semitism,” I am very uncomfortable with it. This statement is given as a “current example” of anti-semitism:
“Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.”
Would this not make the Cross and dozens of passages in the Bible and perhaps even Christianity itself anti-semitic?
Here is the full statement:

It’s time to charge a few of them with treason and carry out the sentence quickly.
There’s no way around it. That’s the only language the savages understand.
