The latest numbers show that only 1 of the 118 thugs arrested for assaulting Jews in New York City since 2018 was sentenced to actual prison time. While attacks on Jews tripled, the ADL is promoting police defunding in its curriculum. The lesson’s only mention of crime proposes that it can be fought through police defunding by “investing more money in education, health care.”
Another high school lesson plan claims that evidence of privilege is parents telling a child “to find a police officer if I need help”. The numerous Jewish children assaulted by thugs in New York needed a police officer, not because they were ‘privileged’, but because they were beaten while the ADL treated their attackers as the victims threatened by a “school-to-prison pipeline”.
And so the antisemitic violence continues through the complicity of the ADL.

The latest outrage over critical race theory materials in the ADL’s curriculum isn’t shocking.
Two years ago, CEO Jonathan Greenblatt wrote a post defending BLM’s antisemitism and celebrating the “clarion call of ‘Black Lives Matter'” which in Los Angeles and a number of other communities were followed by pogroms against Jewish synagogues and businesses. Last year he authored another op-ed opposing “divisive concept” legislation to keep hate out of schools. That’s understandable since many of the ADL’s teaching materials foster such extremism.
That racist concepts such as ‘white privilege’ and ‘intersectionality’ are harmful not only to all Americans, but to Jews in particular, inculcating antisemitism as a progressive value, does not trouble Greenblatt or the ADL who care nothing about the consequences of leftist antisemitism.
Much of this is the responsibility of Jinnie Spiegler, the ADL’s curriculum director, whose Twitter account is a steady stream of leftist derangement, but has nothing to say about Jews or antisemitism. Her philosophy can be summarized with the headline of one of her op-eds, “Forget Kindness. Schools Need to Foster Social Justice”.
“The first step is to facilitate students’ learning about the issues in a rigorous and complex way, and then to get them involved in action, advocacy and/or activism,” she has insisted.
Spiegler promotes antisemitic figures like AOC, Cori Bush, and Ilhan Omar.
The ADL has announced that it’s reexamining some of its hateful lesson plans, not because it’s truly sorry, but because it knows they run afoul of some of those “divisive concept” laws.
A variety of Jewish leaders whose organizations are actually fighting antisemitism, including Morton Klein of the ZOA, as well as Charles Jacobs and Avi Goldwasser of the Jewish Leadership Project have called for ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt to step down or be fired.
“The only thing ADL’s board and donors should be reviewing in the wake of this expose is the continued employment of Greenblatt. If the ADL really wants to demonstrate that it is rejecting CRT and the anti-Semitism that comes with it, then Greenblatt has got to go,” Jonathan Tobin, Editor-in-Chief of JNS, wrote in a recent editorial.
Greenblatt and his hires have spent the years in power building antisemitism into the ADL until the organization has become a stronghold of the antisemitic and anti-Israel element of the Left. All of this was accomplished under the false flag of fighting antisemitism. Even now the ADL keeps promoting antisemitism while claiming to be in the business of fighting antisemitism.
In August, the ADL announced the fellows for its inaugural Center for Antisemitism Research Fellowship, to identify “new approaches to combating antisemitism in society.”
One of its fellows, Michael Zanger-Tishler, has called for protesting Birthright Israel to “change Israeli policy toward the Palestinians” and his work has accused Israel of “constructing Palestinian criminality”.
Another, Sara Yael Hirschhorn, tweeted that, “the Palestinian case shares some common features with South Africa—population transfer/ethnic cleansing”, and falsely claimed that Israel is guilty of “daily violations of human rights.”
Hirschhorn has cultivated a career of bashing Israel with New York Times op-eds like, “Israeli Terrorists, Born in the U.S.A.” Her book, “City on a Hilltop”, attacking Jews living in their historical homeland in Judea and Samaria, was featured, along with the author, at a Foundation for Middle East Peace event. FMEP, a part of the Arab Lobby, accuses Israel of “apartheid”.
Her new book, “New Day in Babylon and Jerusalem: Zionism, Jewish Power, and Identity Politics”, already being promoted by the ADL, will discuss how “how the Six Day War and its aftermath transformed Zionism from a national liberation movement of the Jewish people to a colonialist enterprise in the Middle East in international eyes”.
Michael Boxer of Brandeis, has dismissed the reality of leftist campus antisemitism. “When I tell people the communal freak-out over antisemitism on campus is overblown, I’m usually told by people who haven’t set foot on any campus in decades that I don’t understand the climate today. Much Jewish communal discourse can be summarized by ‘ok boomer,’: he sneered.
He also argued that, “The American Jewish community’s fear that BDS permeates college campuses is almost entirely overblown.”
This is the level of contempt that the ADL has for the Jewish community and for its stated mission of fighting antisemitism. It’s a contempt that is a product of the Greenblatt era.
It can end when the Greenblatt era and everyone he hired are finally shown the door.
CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, an Obama administration veteran, has transformed the ADL, much as his counterparts have transformed the ACLU and other civil rights groups, from their original mission into another generic component of the national leftist network. HIAS should remove the “H” from its name so as not to offend its clients, who are as you say mostly Muslims. But that letter helps them when they advertise in Jewish publications and ignorant Jews get that warm and fuzzy feeling about helping immigrants like Bubbe and Zaydie when the came over in a boat from the Old Country. This organization might or might not have done anything for Bubbie and Zaydie but they did nothing for Soviet Jews trying to get out and resettle in Israel.
The ADL and Greenblatt is reflective of Jewish society in 2022. Jews don’t care about Jews anymore. Besides the orthodox and a tiny minority, Jews don’t fear G-d anymore. “Woke” female rabbis are taking over from the age-old patriarchy of the religion. “Tikkun Olam” is a leftist/socialist concept that has taken over from Judaism in which Jews try to repair the world, but only devote energy to destructive concepts, especially to those who don’t share their philosophy. Most rabbis are anti-Trump and favor giving charity not to Jews but to complete strangers who are invading our country en masse thanks to our treasonous federal government. The leadership in Judaism has failed, like in most areas of society, and are as misguided and dangerous as our supposed “leadership” during the Holocaust. Greenblatt is of course a stooge to the left/communism but sadly Jews are almost entirely to the left and support his destructive activities. Bottom line, the ADL cannot be bothered to help Jews in their quest for “social justice.”
Of course you’re right about so many poor benighted American Jews, but let’s be honest, we Orthodox have the highest birthrates and in another couple of generations will be a resounding majority in this country, assuming there are any Jews left in this country in a couple of generations. Some years back I took a Reform relative to shul with me and when she saw the “parking lot” near the front door — a large number of baby strollers sitting there — she had to admit, “This is the future of American Judaism!”

I can remember when the ADL was a respectable organization. Those days are gone, might as well start a new organization, and don’t let the leftists infiltrate and take it over. They’ve done it with lots of Christian groups, and the Libertarian Party, so don’t feel like the lone ranger.
While Greenblatt must go, I am not convinced that his dismissal will right the inherent wrongs which have permeated the organization after years of infiltration by the Left. The organization, and its leadership, are filled with many Greenblatt-types, so his departure, without a complete overhaul of the organization, itself, including a new set of values and ethics, will do little, if anything, to change the culture at the ADL. While Greenblatt may get the boot, do you truly believe that those who currently work there, who mimic his dangerous ideology, are going to pick up stakes and attempt to find employment, elsewhere? It may be easy to terminate Greenblatt, however, ridding the ADL of its anti-Jewish and anti-Israel mindset, which, after so many years, has become pervasive and integral, is not going to be an easy task. There are powerful and mighty forces behind the sort of statements and opinions emanating from the ADL. . .one need only to look behind the curtain to see who, and, what, is funding the ADL, to understand that the rhetoric being spewed by the cretins at the organization will, most likely, not change, in any significant manner, with the departure of Greenblatt. I suspect that the most powerful benefactors, contributing substantial sums of money, which actually keep the ADL afloat, are precisely those who support the Leftist statements which are associated with the organization. Not hard to comprehend that those who financially maintain the existence of the organization are, in fact, the ones who pull the strings and dictate the trajectory of the ADL. When one recognizes that simple fact, firing Greenblatt doesn’t seem like such an answer to the issues presented by the ADL. It is a mistake to view the firing of Greenblatt much like one would view cutting the head off of the snake. . .cutting the head from the proverbial snake would entail changing, in a significant manner, the source and/or sources of the ADL’s financial support and income. Until, and, unless that changes, and the powerful forces driving the direction and rhetoric of the ADL drastically changes, there is no hope that the ADL will ever return to its previous place in the Jewish community.

The articles span a wide variety of topics, and while you may not, immediately, know who Greenblatt may be, or, even who and/or what the ADL stands for, there is no excuse for not recognizing names like, Obama and Biden, who are frequently named in the articles by this publication. Are those names a mystery to you, as well? If so, you should probably stick to reading the funnies. Most names are household names, some, like Greenblatt, may not be, making odd comments, implying that said articles appear to be addressing another country, is strange, to say the very least. Yes, there are going to be names which both you, and I, do not, mmediately, recognize, but reading said names, and reading about their respective places in our society, should be a learning experience for all of us. Yes, that is how you learn. . .you encounter new information and, yes, new names, and, pretty soon, these bits of information and names start to become familiar, but, you have to commit to reading, beyond the back of the cereal box. Welcome to the world of learning, where we all encounter new and different names and information, on a constant basis, yet only those, to whom learning is a foreign concept would consider stating that he or she has never heard of anyone mentioned in these articles and that the articles must be addressing another country.

The ADL was exactly like it is now since the day it was founded. Research the group’s history, it’s appalling. The ADL is the original open borders lobby in America. They did as much as anyone to push for the catastrophic 1965 Immigration Act.
The previous leader, Abe Foxman, was constantly making similar statements as Greenblatt does now. Abe would make some kind of anti-white or anti-Christian remark that attracted negative attention among conservatives several times a year.
