“For over forty years, Iran has been saying, ‘Death to America,” President Trump said in an address to the nation. “They’ve been killing our people, blowing off their arms, blowing off their legs, with roadside bombs… I decided a long time ago that I would not let this happen.”
Disregarding hysteria from the media and social media, President Trump gave the order to take out Iran’s nuclear weapons program which he described as having been “completely and totally obliterated.”
B2 stealth bombers reportedly flew directly to the targets, refueling several times in mid-air, and reportedly between 6 and 12 bunker busting bombs were dropped on the underground Fordow enrichment complex, the main site that the Israelis had been unable to reach, and also struck Natanz, a site that the Israelis had already hit hard aboveground, and Isfahan, which contains multiple Chinese reactors and a storehouse of uranium underground.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. In televised remarks, President Trump described the attacks as “massive precision” strikes on Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity.

Today’s bombing of Iran with America’s B2’s may be a big reason why God protected Trump from assassination, because probably nobody else would have helped Israel in this way.
My concern is that America may not have enough B2s – if 12 bunker bombs were dropped today, that would take 6 B2s, leaving only 15 B2s back at the base since we only have 21 B2s total. If China and Russia decided to act up while we bombed Iran, we might not have enough B2s to cover all the hot spots at once.
I think the Chinese and Russkies are shitting their pants.

China and Russia just stopped supporting Iran. Both have had decades to attack the US. Both are smart enough to realize a nuclear Armageddon isn’t in anyone’s interest .on the planet.

But the shot heard round the world at Lexington and Concord led to a prolonged war between Britain and the 13 colonies (the US). For Iran there won’t be a war. She is done.

The full truth cannot come out immediately, because it holds implications for America’s facility at Cheyenne Mountain, and subsequently built facilities (which have taken the lead for NORAD functions). Specifically, what did Fordow have in the way of shock absorber technology under the ground floor? …and under the famously reinforced ceiling? …and how much torqued blast waves can the facility’s walls withstand? AND how were Fordow’s systems similar to (or dissimilar from) America’s systems for protection of her facilities?

Unnecessary. Obviously you are unaware of the state-of-the-art of spy satellite technology and the extent of their capabilities. Capabilities that would astound you and stultify you into silence.
Such tech was not enough to prevent October 7th. It is difficult to see what is underground from the stratosphere.
Don’t be so sure of that. Ever heard of Ultra-wideband (UWB) modulation?
In the civilian world is is used as another radio communications technology but it’s capabilities go far beyond that.
The mining industry uses a form of UWB that sees through layers of rock. It’s also employed in hi-tech spy gear that’s employed to see a real time radar image of what’s behind a wall or several walls. .
There are also classified applications of UWB technology developed by DARPA and companies doing TS research.
Bottom line: Don’t underestimate what an advanced modern spy satellite can do. The state-of-the-art is advanced enough to read the small print on a soda can from a LEO & MEO orbit.
The Colorado School of Mines does research on this. It wouldn’t surprise me if DARPA stepped in.
Still, r &d is one thing and real world use is another. I am assuming that the bombing of Fordow had s few beta tests included.
(For example: Are all bunker buster bombs the same? If there are several types, why not give each a chemical signature that disperses with the explosive and leaves traces even after incineration, the better to see what penetrated where?)
It might depend whether it still is underground, or whether it has been laid bare by the blast. On October 7th, my impression is that there was data, but that Israel believed Gazan assurances that they wanted peace, so the information that was available did not raise the red flags that it should have.
I’ve driven past Cheyenne Mountain a couple times. I hear it has free tours.

Don’t fret about missing anything. It is not open to the public, and only a very select pre-arranged and approved group can tour Cheyenne Mountain. Visits are highly restricted; tours are rare, as in, the President could probably get in…

Western Colorado and the seemingly endless Rocky Mountains were worth the drive. Eastern Colorado sucked as much as Nebraska does.
Truth be told, Cheyenne Mountain is a decommissioned military installation. The US military doesn’t decommission anything unless they have something better.
Remember the SR-71 Blackbird? As far as the civilian world knows, it’s the fastest aircraft humankind has ever built and it’s top speed is still classified. It was decommissioned in the late 1990s.
If President Trump said “destroyed” then they are destroyed, not “merely damaged.” Stop undermining our President.
President Trump has a duty to keep state secrets secret. It doesn’t undermine our President to assume he does his duty.

Thanks for your comment. I was elated to see the blasts, but I have been wondering about the level of certainty that the have been effective. I didn’t think of shock absorbers, but my understanding is that 400 feet might be too much.

It remains to be seen how “gone” or “utterly obliterated” the sites are. How we will get reliable assessmesnts is above my pay grade, but there do appear to be questions, and understandably so, about just what the condition is at this point.
Also, we need to find out where the enriched uranium is now since it appears that Iran moved it elsewhere in anticipation of and/or reaction to Israeli strikes.
And finally, pray that radioactive material is not now leaching out post bombing.
All of that said, what Trump ordered was spot on and had to be done. It was long over due. Now we wait to see what else will be needed and how Iran will respond. But for now, for today, we have advanced the mission of the survival of Israel, the United States, the West, and I would say all of civilization. G-d bless President Trump and everyone on his team who planned and executed over these past many months.
The mission would have been tremendously more successful if the mullahs had not been warned ahead of time. Giving them time to remove everything they could move, away from the sites.

Iran didn’t get any warning. Without the centrifuges you can’t make weapons grade uranium. China gave Iran those centrifuges and has now stopped support for Iran. Trump and Bibi didn’t notify anyone.
Report out that Israel does not believe Fordow is completely destroyed. That it’s seriously damaged, but not enough to take it off the table. Israel also believes Iran moved enriched uranium out of the facility prior to the attack.
But Iran didn’t have enough uranium to make nuclear warheads yet. Without centrifuges it won’t. Aerial photos from satellite will show if work has started on the labs again
