As we saw with the COVID pandemic, Communist China could devastate us without the need for launching or fighting a conventional war. Conventional wars are for countries that play by some kinds of conventional rules. With China, all bets are off. We’ve already seen large scale information and cyberwarfare. With the pandemic, we saw biological warfare of one kind, but here’s a potentially different kind.
Yunqing Jian, 33, and Zunyong Liu, 34, citizens of the People’s Republic of China, were charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy, smuggling goods into the United States
The FBI arrested Jian in connection with allegations related to Jian’s and Liu’s smuggling into America a fungus called Fusarium graminearum, which scientific literature classifies as a potential agroterrorism weapon. This noxious fungus causes “head blight,” a disease of wheat, barley, maize, and rice, and is responsible for billions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year. Fusarium graminearum’s toxins cause vomiting, liver damage, and reproductive defects in humans and livestock.
According to the complaint, Jian received Chinese government funding for her work on this pathogen in China. The complaint also alleges that Jian’s electronics contain information describing her membership in and loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party. It is further alleged that Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, works at a Chinese university where he conducts research on the same pathogen and that he first lied but then admitted to smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America—through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport—so that he could conduct research on it at the laboratory at the University of Michigan where his girlfriend, Jian, worked.
All the joint scientific research in America and the CCP, along with the presence of CCP nationals in scientific fields and functions in the United States is a ticking time bomb. And we may have just dudged an explosion.
And yet Anthony Fauci used billions of our dollars to help the Chi-Coms create the Franken-virus and unleash it on the world, perhaps with the vaccines in the on deck circle to do even worse damage.
Growing up a farm boy in the heartland, this story gave me chills.
When we ultimately come to the realization as a nation that China, Xi and the CCP are everything BUT our friends, maybe we’ll start treating the communist nation accordingly.
It is my hope that this story is brought to Trump’s attention and that a 1000% tarrif ensues. It might take us a minute to learn to live without trash Chinese goods, but it would collectively be one of the best decisions we could make as a nation.

Totally agree. China’s economy is based upon stealing from us.
They want weapons to remove population and preserve infrastructure. Biological weapons are just the ticket.
It is amazing that the Chinese are so stupid. We sell them 25% of their food through imports. If we or other countries have no surplus, they will starve. Actually they are already starving from blights of various kinds. Hog, wheat and corn for example and the emperor has decreed no food waste in restaurants and in the homes.
We’ve seen this Chinese strategy before. They were getting ready to unleash this disease upon America then sit back and watch us die. Those two should be executed for this crime. That’s how deadly serious it is.
We need to be more alert at what’s being smuggled into America by these Foreigners they have caught some people trying to smuggle in Dangerous Snakes and such stuff
What’s disturbing about this story and not widely reported in the west, China is losing arable land at an alarming rate due to desertification,
Moreover, their primitive farming methods further exacerbates the problem. The CCP, being who and what they are, are too feckless and corrupt to even mitigate the problem.
This is conspiracy theory but perhaps the Chicoms are do this to see how we, America, deals with an agricultural crisis.
In the macro sense, this is further proof of the abject failure of communism. An ism that will eventually be rendered, as Dr. Thomas Sowell puts it, a “was-ism.”
