The antisemitic hate that has engulfed college campuses and spilled into city streets across the United States and abroad has erupted into cold blooded murder. Elias Rodriguez, a 30-year-old pro-Hamas supporter from Chicago, allegedly shot to death two Israeli Embassy employees who were leaving a reception on May 21st at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. The victims were Yaron Lischinsky, a German-Israeli diplomat, and Sarah Milgrim, a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen working in cultural diplomacy and public engagement for the embassy. They were both dedicated to peace-building and were expecting to get formally engaged in Jerusalem in just a few days.
After the fatal shootings, Rodriguez entered the museum, pulled out a kaffiyeh, and said, “I did it. I did this for Gaza.” And then he started shouting “Free, Free Palestine!” He is being held in federal custody awaiting formal charges of first-degree murder and possibly of a federal hate crime.
The Israeli Embassy to the U.S. said in a statement: “Yaron and Sarah were our friends and colleagues. They were in the prime of their lives.” The statement added that “a terrorist shot and killed them as they exited an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in DC.”
President Trump posted on his Truth Social website: “These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW!”
Elias Rodriguez is no stranger to leftwing extremism. The New York Post reported, for example, that Mr. Rodriguez was “once linked to the Party for Socialism and Liberation — a far-left group that regularly posts anti-Israel rhetoric on social media.” This radical group quickly distanced itself from the D.C. slaughters, however. Mr. Rodriguez has also been involved with the Black Lives Matter movement and participated several years ago in demonstrations organized by such leftwing organizations as the People’s Congress of Resistance and ANSWER Chicago.
Now it appears that Mr. Rodriguez has moved from rowdy demonstrations to committing a lethal act of domestic terrorism. The violent antisemitic demonstrations in support of Hamas since Hamas’s massacre and abduction of thousands of Jews from Israel on October 7, 2023 have set the stage for Rodriguez’s alleged dual murders in front of the Capital Jewish Museum.
A manifesto under the name of Elias Rodriguez was posted on social media just hours before the shootings under the heading “Escalate For Gaza, Bring The War Home.” It purported to justify “armed action” to accompany “nonviolent protest.”
If convicted of first-degree murder as a hate crime, Elias Rodriguez will deserve the death penalty, or at minimum life imprisonment with no chance of parole.

The BBC documentary Science and the Nazis contended the Nazis were helped into power by the Eugenic movement which was popular with the scientific elite of the time all over the world. However most of the ‘scientists’ quoted were the likes of Gorge Bernard Shaw a philosopher and educator in England. I think a better name would be Education and the Nazis with the Nazis including Hitler being educated into power by the global education system, and the Germany merely being the most extreme example. This is why it is most important to pay attention to what is being taught in the world’s socialist-left controlled schools.

Because we live in a country with “Freedom of Religion” there is a supposition that all religions are equal, and positive. They are not. They are a cultural artifact, some peaceful, most not. Like the Aztec Religion? How about the Norse berserksgangers? Islam is crazy. Muslims ACTUALLY believe that Jacob was Muslim. What can you do with a people like that? Christians actually have killed more Jews than any others – but they will never accept responsibility. They just say it was “bad”. Okay better than active hatred, though that will come again, as we see in Europe. Still a latent enemy is FAR better than an active one, like Islam.
You can bet their boy Rodriguez was present at lots of the BLM/antifa/Blak Bloc riots, burnings, and lootings over the past 5 years.

I am an unabashed admirer of Mr. Horowitz for decades. And an admirer of Judaism as the basis of our culture. At the same time I would wish the great Jewish thinkers to more often take to task those who hide under the mask of being “Jewish” of writing/saying the most subversive and blatantly Marxist nonsense we hear. These people hate Jews every bit as much as any robe wearing kook. They certainly despise Israel and consider it apostasy that they moved away from the death wish kibbutz silliness. They are livid that most Israelis dismissed Marxism as the death wish it would have been for the Jewish State.
I fear these people want to foment another holocaust. Why is there so much silence? Not enough different than the folks in the ghettos not speaking of how scared they are of their neighbors. What is this dynamic? Why not make the distinction clear between believers and those who use the religion/culture as a shield against criticism. So far, it has worked and this should come to an end for all of our sake.

“Elias Rodriguez, … allegedly shot to death..” Not even the shadow of an allegation here: not only did he admit being the killer, he claimed responsibility, he bragged about it.
The term “allegedly” is always used– at least in the American press– when reporting or publically commenting on a perpetrator who has not yet been formally convicted in court. Even when the crime was directly witnessed.
I am a philosemitic Evangelical Christian and my heart is broken for this young couple. One of the great evils of many leftist and rightist movements is to erase the individuality of its targets and victims. It is evil to define people by their intersectional identities. We must rehumanize our differences. Muslims need to really understand how truly innocent most of the victims of Oct 7 really were. In fact, many were among the most pro-peace and pro-reconciliation citizens of their entire country.

According to muslims, we in the West are living in what the islam cult calls Dar-al-Harb, the land of war, whereas their intent is to make the whole world Dar-al-islam, the land of submission.
We have always to be aware that muslims define words differently from how we in the West define them. For them peace is submission to islam. For us peace is the absence of war. And the real peace that both Jews and Christians desire is peace with God; the shalom of peace, peace from the wrath of God. That is diametrically opposite of islam.
