The hard and fast rule is that leftists stop being funny when they get political. Political comedy can be funny but it’s funny to the degree that the humor comes first. And once lefties start doing political comedy, it usually becomes shrill mockery and then just political statements recited in a funny voice.
Screaming some variation of “Trump sucks” is objectively rarely going to be funny. But lefties insist that this stuff is funny because they find it cathartic and it expresses their frustrations.
Cue Larry David getting a ton of publicity for writing “My Dinner With Hitler”. He should have learned from Georgia that his cringe comedy becomes extra cringe when he starts trying to advance his political views. But “My Dinner With Hitler”.is Andy Borowitz levels of bad. It’s the line every lefty has been using since 2016.

None of the humor that came out of the USSR was from leftists. It was all from Samizdat and opponents of the regime.

I just saw him in some sci-fi movie about people hooked on REAL AI headgear that would put them into fantasy lands and he was barely recognizable. He was good in it, though. He played a weak ass scumbag but by the end, his character was likable.
My favorite episode of “Curb” was the one with the MAGA hat! It was Hillaryarious!! I loved it!!

Comedy is dead and the Leftist destroyed it. The traditional purpose of humor was to enable one to escape and be distracted from the grind of life for a little while , feel good, laugh , smile. etc… But now Comedy is a pretext to propaganda. We are to be spoon fed Leftist Do Do and garbage ad nauseum. My God ……liberals destroy everything they touch. I’ll stick with the Lucy Show re-runs and 1950’s and 60’s comedy movies as much as I can before they are censored and banned as Wrong Think.
